Is it resistance from US personnel? Political reluctance? Lack of funding on JMSDF?
The 7th fleet is cut-off from mainland command, unable to perform their strategic function (force projection against Russia and China), has no funding or resources, and are currently mothballed. Are they even still bound by the US-Japan security treaty?
The 7th Fleet will be performing freedom of navigation patrol within the straight. The patrol's goal will be to preserve the navigational freedom of all ships to pass through international waters.
All of Sturgillβs references to Japan in Sea Stories was one of the hooks that snared me right off the bat. I served on the Midway back in the 80βs. Curious if there are any other 7th fleet shellbacks hanging around in here.

Eyes up guardian. The 7th Fleet is a small clan that is looking for some new recruits. We participate in endgame PvE content regularly such as Raids, Dungeons, and Nightfalls. We mostly participate in PvP casually but more serious players are still welcome. As a clan, we discuss Destiny regularly as well as make builds and think about the best ways to optimize. If you like build crafting then you should definitely join us. We are looking for those who would like to learn raids and teach raids as well. We raid every week at least once and often more than that. All that we ask to be a part of the clan is that you are nice and treat others with respect as well as are active in the game.
