Hello fellow Marines. I was wondering if anybody could confirm or squash a rumor that has been going around my platoon at MCT. A few Marines have been saying that coms school is backed up about 1-3 months depending on Mos. If anybody has any information on it would be much appreciated. A lot of us are on the fringe on trying to get RA so we can see are familyβs, since we didnβt get any boot leave.

Wife and I are at shore duty, both at first duty station. Sheβs going there on shore, Iβm going there for my sea duty. Collocation. We have no dependents and both receive single BAH.
Sheβs set to PCS there early may, I go to field med early April and graduate early June.
Housing said due to marine regulation (Rah!!!) sheβd be put in the barracks until Iβm there because we have no dependents.
So first thing, whatβs the easiest way to do this? Put most things in storage, get small airbnb, wait for me, move everything in?
We also have a cat.
Secondly, housing gave us a few numbers for housing referral.
All of them say βWeβre full, maybe closer to your date weβll have something.β
Also, if we use our government travel card for her to stay in a temp housing but they give her a barracks room. Will that even be refundable?

I'm a civilian who works at the 29 Palms Base and was wondering if my car breaks down who do I contact? I live in Palm Springs so would someone be able to access the base and tow my car home?
