If anyone doesn't remember them, both are the Mood kids, that song that everyone but Todd (and me) loved and was inascapble in the winter of 2020
I lurked and none of them really seemed to do better from Mood, keep in mind Mood was inescapable, it peaked at #1 for 8 non consecutive weeks and if it wasn't because it peaked in between years (late 2020 and early 2021), it would have been one of the biggest songs of what we got in this decade
24kGoldn hasn't got an actual hit anywhere, the closest i could lurk was the follow up to Mood, Coco with Dababy but never hit the hot 100, any other songs of his hasn't charted ANYWHERE, at best they appear somewhere in the top 100 for a random chart but other than that, none of his other songs has charted at all, not even the slightly decent yet obnoxious City of Angels who became prior to Mood and was him trying to be indie/rock, he released his debut album El Dorado early this year and it also underpeformed, peaking at #22, which is not bad but considering how gigantic Mood was, that was quite disappointing
Even Iann Dior who was the co lead had more chance of having another hit since he has appeared in more charts than 24kGoldn himself, but none of his other songs is really as big as Mood did
Honestly if you ask me, there is a big chance both of them are for this decade what Gotye and Kimbra were for the 2010s... if only Mood was just as good as Somebody That I Used to Know tho
Hello, I bought two 24KGoldn tickets for Boston coming up this Saturday. However do to some unfortunate change of plans, I won’t be able to go. So I wanted to come here and see if anybody here wanted them? I put them up for sale on ticket master if anyone wants to check them out.
