A list of puns related to "2019 Ukrainian presidential election"
The second round of the ukrainian presidential election is taking place on Sunday 21 April 2019.
What are the basics?
After the first round was held on 31 March 2019 none of the registered candidates won with an absolute majority. In the second round the electorate can choose between the two candidates with the best result in the first round.
The remaining candidates are the incumbent Petro Poroshenko as independent candidate and Volodymyr Zelensky as candidate for the party "Servant of the people".
Today marks the "day of silence" as campaigning on the last day prior to the election is forbidden. Yesterday both candidates met for a last debate broadcasted in national TV.

With the War in Donetsk raging and Russia still controlling Crimea the Ukrainian people have faced humiliation after humiliation, first they lost Crimea and then they nearly lost to a ragtag group of Russian backed separatists who are bent on destroying this beautiful country and placing its people under the control of those in Moscow.
The current President, Petro Poroshenko*, is going to have a tough reelection this year as a record breaking 44 candidates registered for the 2019 Presidential Elections. Though 5 candidates withdrew their nominations 39 candidates still remain.
