I'm a pretty flexible player, but the main issue with my flexibility is that once my team stops resembling anything close to a (once) meta comp, I quickly start second guessing my picks.
Hog/OT comps are typically the worst for me. If it's Hog/Sig I usually don't have a problem because I've seen those plenty of times. I'll lock Zen or play DPSier Ana which usually works well. If I need to swap brig to counter the enemy, I'm also comfortable doing that. My biggest issues are when its Hog and either DVa or Zarya.
They tend to require lots of healing while providing very little sustainability for themselves and their team compared to more traditional comps. I usually pick a main healer based on what the opponent is running.
An actual example: We ran Hog/DVa/Junk/Cree/Dive-Lucio against something that resembled a traditional Monkey dive. I was initially playing Bap and switched to Moira once I became the main dive target. I succeeded in netting a lot of heals for our frontline at the very least, but I feel I sacrificed a lot of offensive potential and synergy. The whole round I felt I was caught between a monkey and a hard place. We ended up losing Nepal 2-1.

I am sure this was discussed before but I am still curious. Why was eragon so desperate to get a rider sword? I mean shouldn't a normal elven sword be enough? The problem with his replacement swords after murtagh took zar roc was that they weren't strong enough to endure his elven strength. But if we was so hard pressed to find a replacement in Du Weldenvarden couldn't he just have taken a "normal" elven sword for the time being after the war?
Trying to avoid stumpy giant hands models like the current warlocks. Oh the current autarch with wings is probably a good comparison. Even though I dislike the wings ATM.

So, as far as I understand Jain Zar's novel takes place during the Great Crusade or a little earlier, Eldrad is still young and is not the supreme seer of Ulthwe. I had 2 questions while reading the novel:
- When Jain Zar comes to Vect, he, apparently, is already the supreme ruler of Comorragh. But didn't he seize power somewhere in m34-m35?
- When Asurmen and Jain Zar find Maugan Ra, he lives in the Biel-Tanigh library and says that his parents left him here in the care of librarians right after his birth and he never knew them or why they left. Wasn't Maugan Ra born and lived on Altansar?
I mean, Gav Thorpe is the main Eldar expert among BL writers and maybe this is another retcon of codes, but sometimes it seems that he either doesn't know what he's writing about, or he just doesn't care.
How many do you guys run in a squad, if you use them at all? 5/10? Exarch or no?
What about Jain Zar?
I'm totally new to the game - do you stick these guys in a wave serpent with only an 8" move? Aren't they supposed to be super fast/crazy good in the lore? Lol
