A list of puns related to "Wood Shaper"
I don't wear my boots often but I want to keep them in good shape. I have wood shoe trees in all my boots, but I find the shaper inserts to keep the leg part (or whatever that's called) doesn't work well with the shoe trees. Is there a product that works well using the wood shoe trees?

Mostly the full origin of the Chandrian, from quotes from both books, put in a kind of chronological order that is sure to be criticized but is my best attempt at linking similar concepts and trying to demonstrate a timeline in the same list. There are some theories that just force themselves in due to the evidence. Trapis's timeline is wrong, Encanis is Haliax, Iax is Jax, the folding mansion is the fae realm, Iax is trapped beyond the doors of stone... it's just what the text leads us to believe and still might be wrong or twisted somehow.
Ellipsis (...) usually mean I've cut some of the quote for time and space reasons. I did this a lot and missed some ellipsis I should've shown, but I kept the context as clear as possible.

Kvothe: In the beginning, as far as I know, the world was spun out of the nameless void by Aleph, who gave everything a name.
Felurian: long before the cities of man. before men. before fae. there were those who walked with their eyes open. they knew all the deep names of things.
Shehyn: Once there was a great realm peopled by great people. They were not Ademre. They were what Ademre was before we became ourselves. They sang songs of power and fought as well as Ademre do.
Haliax: Who keeps you safe from the Amyr? The singers? The Sithe?
Bast/[Kvothe]: You know who the Sithe are? [Theyβre a faction among the Fae. Powerful...] if any of the Fae can be said to work for the good, itβs them. Their oldest and most important charge is to keep the Cthaeh from having any contact with anyone. If anyone manages to come in contact with the Cthaeh, the Sithe... kill them... with their long horn bows.
Felurian: then came those who saw a thing and thought of changing it. they thought in terms of mastery. they were shapers.
Felurian: shapers made... the faen realm. wrought according to their will. the greatest of them sewed it from whole cloth. a place where they could do as they desired. and at the end of all their work, each shaper wrought a star to fill their new and empty sky.β
Hespe: Jax brought out the crooked piece of wood and, piece by piece, began to unfold the house... the mansion was magnificent... Everything about the place was slightly skewed... It could be time for breakfast in the ball

First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.
I'm trying to get into violinmaking, and I don't have any fine woodworking tools. What are the top priorities? My sense is that it's gouges and planes. Is that about right? Do you have recommendations on specific sizes/shapes?
My budget is limited, and my instinct is to try to get a couple of high quality tools, instead of a wide variety of shitty tools. I know experienced, established violinmakers basically have a specialized tool for every single step of the process, but I'm ideally looking for solid jack-of-all-trades tools. For example, how many different gouges do I actually need? Can I get away with one really good one? Do I need a big one and a small one? Do I need three sizes?
Alot of great jokes get posted here! However just because you have a joke, doesn't mean it's a dad joke.
THIS IS NOT ABOUT NSFW, THIS IS ABOUT LONG JOKES, BLONDE JOKES, SEXUAL JOKES, KNOCK KNOCK JOKES, POLITICAL JOKES, ETC BEING POSTED IN A DAD JOKE SUB
Try telling these sexual jokes that get posted here, to your kid and see how your spouse likes it.. if that goes well, Try telling one of your friends kid about your sex life being like Coca cola, first it was normal, than light and now zero , and see if the parents are OK with you telling their kid the "dad joke"
I'm not even referencing the NSFW, I'm saying Dad jokes are corny, and sometimes painful, not sexual

Ase POV:
As Ase wandered across the humble town of Duneβs End, she took a contented sigh. Tail swaying from right to left lazily as she strolled through her home. The sun was bright today, and the green holy glow of The Sentinel surrounding it seemed to hum and flicker such that she was convinced even the God of Avalon was enjoying the beautiful day. The Aura of those around her were just as contented, most of her people passing her faintly radiating emotions of joy, content, and satisfaction. She hummed a tuneless song from her throat as she strolled towards the temple, greeting the guards as she passed them, watching the priests slowly and carefully go about their day, and admiring the silvered statue of the Sentinel and its son as she passed, the expensive material shone in contrast to the oranges and bronze of the stone and woods of the rest of the town.
Finally, she found her small audience, a crowd of children gathered around a box staring at her, waiting less than patiently for her to begin, muttering between each other, some eager, others looking bored. She chucked and sat at her new perch before the temple, hanging her tail off the back of the box as she shifted her weight. Finally, she smiled at the crowd and began to speak:
βSo, I assume you all know why youβre here, and I can see some of the more pious of you are eager for the story, and others just want to go play later. Have some patience kids, thereβll be plenty of time for fun when Iβm done, and I promise not to take too long to spin this tale.β
The temple had asked Ase to speak to the next generation for a bit, entertain them with the story of The Sentinel and their home, she knew the more pious of the kids would enjoy it, and some of the less pious would appreciate the bit of romantic myth for what it was, so she would weave it as best she could for them to enjoy, the least she could do is add a bit of mystique to the legend.
βLong ago, far from our home of Avalon, deep in the dark black sea, the Sentinel was born. In a burst of light, beautiful greens, purples, and blues, emerging as a volucris does from the nest, spreading its wings, looking for roost. The Sentinel soared through the darkness, scouring high, low, all points of the compass, seemingly endlessly, until it finally

Aleph created the universe and the Knowers who were not men and not mortal, who sang songs of power and were powerful namers. The most powerful Knowers were Selitos, Lyra and Iax. Iax and other Knowers became Shapers by turning their knowledge into a desire to change the world to their will. The most powerful Shaper is Iax. Among the Knowers, the most powerful in naming were Selitos and Lyra, and the most powerful in combat was Lanre, love of Lyra.
The most powerful Shapers created the fae realm, among them Iax, who later goes to the Cthaeh for unknown reasons. Iax, then steals the moon away to the fae realm. The Knowers see that the Shapers will eventually change the entire world, and the Creation War begins between the two factions as a result, as the Cthaeh wanted. Over years, hundreds of cities are destroyed by Iax and his Shaper army, leaving only eight cities, but still having far more inhabitants than in Kvothe's time.
Then there was the Blac of Drossen Tor, the largest battle in history where more Knowers and Shapers died than the world's entire population Kvothe's time. Lanre kills the strongest of Shaper forces, a black iron-scaled, poison-shadow breathing beast. Lanre dies of his wounds despite killing the enemy and winning the battle and even the war. Iax is put behind the doors of stone, and Lyra finds Lanre's body and calls him back from the dead. Battles continue but the war is won, the Shapers defeated.
Years later, involving the Cthaeh somehow, Lanre was deceived into getting his love Lyra killed, then somehow gains great power trying to save her, then tries to kill the world in his grief, as the Cthaeh wanted. Haliax kills himself but returns to life due to his power. Six of the seven Knower leaders of the remaining cities betray their people, including sorcerer-king Scyphus who trapped then fought Taborlin. The six join Haliax and become Chandran, they destroy the six betrayed cities, then Myr Tariniel by binding it's leader, Selitos. Selitos stabs out his own eye and magically overpowers Haliax sending him away and marking him with a permanently shadowed face.
