I've just reread Reaper Man, and I didn't get the Windle Poon's finale.
He walks into the city parasite that looks like a warehouse, walks down a couple of floors, finds a black thing in the ceiling, gets it pulled out... and the warehouse starts to die? What was the black thing? I didn't get the impression that it was supposed to be a huge eldritch heart and/or brain. Is it a British injoke? Does all British warehouses have black self destruct buttons in the ceiling?
Thanks for the help. ':-)

My ancestors, Thomas WINDLE and Margaret Byrne, married in a Catholic church in Victoria, Australia in 1855 before moving to New Zealand. The marriage registration was full of spelling mistakes but he was listed as coming from Talton, England and his parents were John Windle and Jane Mounsey. On his death certificate he was listed as coming from Cumberland, England. There are several possibilities of what Talton could have been but my current guess is Dalton-in-Furness. I've never found his parents but I have found a John WINDER marrying a Jane Mounsey in 1827. On the record, their residence is Millom (Cumberland), she is from the parish Urswick and he from the parish Dalton (both Lancashire). I believe I've found this family in the census of 1841 (https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:MQGD-B9B) and 1851 (Thomas, mistranscribed surname https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:SGK5-CPX father John https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:SGYL-8JS mother is deceased in 1849). Thomas never turns up again after 1851, which could be explained by his move to Australia.
I've put together a full tree for this WINDER family on Ancestry but I have no evidence that they are my WINDLE family and they are two distinct names that happen to come from the same area. My only reason to assume that Thomas Windle was born Winder is the fact that I cannot find my Windle/Mounsey family anywhere.
Can anyone help me find the Windle/Mounsey family? Or can anyone help me find a reason that he'd have changed his name?
Does Cooks Guild rule intimidation reduce Windleβs DEF to 1+ and, if so, does that mean every dice rolled during an attack is an auto hit? I know itβs a pretty obvious question, but Iβm just making 100% sure Iβm not missing anything (like a roll of 1 always being a miss regardless)
