It's a pretty neat story that not many know, but Magnet was a Valorant pro in the early days in OCE. Pants Down was a top 8 team in the region before it disbanded (some players from it have gone on to bigger and better things).
He stepped back to focus on Tokyo (he is a top paralympic swimmer in Australia), and now he's got a gold medal.

Hi all... it's recently come to my attention that Dan said in a recent interview that he had "a few picks" of companies that may end up purchasing Veve in the future... the interviewer mentioned Disney as a possibility, and Dan's reaction to it was one of interest, from a body language point of view... before we begin the analysis, here are a few things to keep in mind:
- Body language and facial expression analysis in the pursuit of deception detection is, largely, pseudoscience, outside of the skilled FBI agents and interrogators who actually know how to use it
- There is a lot of information about this sort of thing which is not disclosed to the public because if the government and researchers who study it were to make it public, it would give a tremendous advantage to terrorists/drug smugglers/etc looking to do malicious acts to society
- The average success rate regular, untrained people have for detecting lies is 55%
- Polygraph tests do not test for lies, they test for physiological arousal, which is why they are not admissible in court and are also, largely, useless
- I have studied this for years

- Interviewer asks if apple or google would potentially buy out Veve
- No significant body language or facial expressions are observed from Dan in his answer to this question. When he says "I've got a few picks..." referring to potential companies to buy Veve, he looks away, which is something we do in order to prevent the visual stimuli that is in front of us from distracting our thought processes (memory recall). Pair that with slight squinting in the eyes (another form of essentially the same thing), and I'd say we can be pretty confident that he has indeed received interest from multiple companies inquiring about a potential buyout.
- Interviewer jokingly suggests that Disney would be the company that makes the most sense for a buyout. Here's where the fireworks start...
- Dan IMMEDIATELY widens his eyes and raises his left eyebrow after the word "Disney" is mentioned. I'd say this is a genuine micro expression of shock or surprise in this case.
- Dan swallows a few seconds later. Swallowing is an indication of stress. Everyone in the world has experienced this, and it's one of the most common physiological

I've heard great things about Crothers Woods for hiking. Where is the best place to park and use as a starting point? I would be with kids (10 and 12) and am looking for a good 5km section.
If you have any other good hike recommendations within an hour drive of the city, I'd really appreciate it. Would like to do a lot of hikes this year. Thanks!
