So, shortly before the end of Bloodshot Stronghold, i opened an ammo box and out came a legendary loot midget. Murdered it, And out came a Butcher, corrosive. Shortly after, and within a minute, This occured. It was just unbelievably easy.
About every 7 deaths or so my character makes that stupid fucking noise. Thought this community in particular would understand my anger.

Any time a director/producer uses the Wilhelm scream in a scene, any gravitas or seriousness that had been built up to that point gets lost. The scene begins to feel like something out of a comedy movie instead. It doesn't fit tonally with anything - it's such a cheesy, OTT stock sound effect. Even if mixed incredibly low in the audio, it dominates everything around it because it's so recognisable.
I'll never say too much negative about the LOTR trilogy, but the use of the scream at the Battles of Helm's Deep, Osgiliath and Minas Tirith is a huge negative point (almost as much as Legolas "surfing" down the stairs on a shield"). It just takes me out of the scene almost immediately. There's many more examples, but these are fresh in my mind.
If cheesy/camp/funny is the tone you want to convey - then go ahead, it has its place there. But for serious scenes, it should be avoided at all costs.
I just finished TPS in normal mode and I read in Wilhelm's wikia page that he nearly killed the original vault hunters after the events of the first game. I guess it's him when see near New Haven during the credits but what exactly happened? And are Roland and Lilith working with him afterwards only to get rid of Jack?
Itβs really Wilhelm-7βs voice actor that gives his descent into insanity a very very horrific tone to it. His final lines are actually kind of gut wrenching to listen to.

So a few days ago i was binge rewatching the original 1997 Berserk with my best friend when we were suddenly struck by an idea: what about a rendition of the anime but every time Guts kills someone, a Wilhelms scream is being played. As an avid berserklejerker I took upon myself to spread the idea to you guys and hopefully someone is able to don those grasses and might be able to fulfill our dream, as causality demands it.
I did it today in >10 seconds at lvl 16 (because I do all of the side quests before the story) I am a commando and I used the fastball grenade 5 times and a random rocket launcher for a few shots. He was dead before I even took damage. What about you guys?
