LPT: Use a wet erase marker on your Gloomhaven board and stickers. If you need to erase something, you can wet it to wipe it off like it was never there!
Figured this out by accident as we didn't have any other markers, but works like a charm! Dries pretty solidly and everything. Good luck!
LPT: Accidentally use permanent marker on a whiteboard? Cover the markings with a dry erase marker and wipe it while it's still wet and it will come off after 1-2 tries.
I've seen this posted once or twice on reddit over the years but it just helped save my colleague who almost ruined a shared whiteboard in a conference room.
I've heard this also works on markings made by dry erase markers that were left on the board for too long.

People are starting to gear up for 2022 thruhikes, and for many, this will be their first extended stay in the backcountry -- and their first time doing their business in the woods on a regular basis.
For anyone who was too afraid to ask, here are some of the basics that you need to know.
- A cathole is a small hole you dig in the ground to bury your poo. It should be at least 6 inches deep and at least 200 feet from the trail and any water sources. Putting a rock on it isn't good enough. Crouch, aim, and bury it with dirt when finished. Particularly if you're in an area that may be used by others for the same purpose, place a stick in the cathole, so someone else doesn't accidentally dig up your work. - Pee rags are a thing, and are used by many women thruhikers. Some companies sell purpose-designed antimicrobial versions. Learn more in this article from lnt.org.
- Privies (outhouses) are an option on some regions of some trails, such as the AT, but they are rare on most trails, and there won't always be one there when you need it.
- Bring a travel-size container of hand sanitizer to clean your hands. Note that hand sanitizer does not kill all pathogens, and using a drop or two of liquid soap is a good choice. Use biodegradeable soap, and bury the soapy water in the cathole. Even so-called biodegradable soap will not biodegrade if it gets into a water source like a stream or pond.
- Unless there's a privy available, don't poop in camp. Seriously.
- A lightweight aluminum trowel is useful for digging catholes -- the soil in many regions will not yield without effort, and if the situation is urgent, a stick or a rock might not get it done fast enough. There are brands that offer lightweight trowels specifically for thruhikers. If you use something else, make sure it will dig at least 6" down.
- Pack out your used TP. If you bring toilet paper, you should pack out the used bits, though some say putting one or two squares in the cathole is fine. Packing it out may seem gross at first, but it's not so bad, and on high-use trails, it's important. Double ziplocs work well, esp. the 'freezer

I was routing a slab of wet Poplar and I've never experienced my router 2" bit get so bogged down. Has anyone else ever experienced this? In that pic, you would think that dust would wipe off but that was hardened Poplar dust...made the bit worthless. I've heard similar things milling aspen.
SLPT: If your pipes leak, just use a 48-pack of toilet paper to soak it up. It absorbs the water and now you have 48 rolls of cheap wet wipes.
