A list of puns related to "Water Industry"
First, Ill give a little background on my self up to this point in my life. I'm going to risk putting myself out there because I've come to realize that an optimistic approach with regards to any and all information received, and what to do with it, is the best approach to solving a problem/quandary/what have you. I'll do my best to not make this sound like a therapy session so here goes:
Currently I'm 35 years old, single, never married, have no children, and have been living at home for the last 2.5 years. I spent the first 15 years of my life moving in between a couple different places with my father passing away at the end of that. I then moved from VA to MD, graduated in 2005, and joined the Marine Corps as a 2111 in 2007. At the end of my active service till now, I've had jobs in firearms, retail, chemical refinery, and most recently, poultry. I've recently been laid off and am tired of jumping around doing what I feel as meaningless work and am FINALLY ready to take on a meaningful challenge and career before it's too late.
Now, with that out of the way, lets get to why I'm here! I've spent the last couple of weeks really trying to get into the weeds of what I wanted to do with my life and I started looking at welding. Something about using electricity and gas to fuse two metals together is fascinating to me. It was in the course of my research that I happened upon underwater welding. Welding underwater? Kinda blew my mind. Little did I know that's not all that being a commercial diver entails. That made it even more interesting to me. From that, I thought back to the time I went skydiving or the one time I went scuba diving in Hawaii when I was stationed there for a short time and remembering the feeling of weightlessness. Almost being completely at peace. If I can couple that with a sense of accomplishment in my work, then I will most certainly be better off than I am now at least.
Now, I have no illusions about how stressful this job can be, from watching Last Breath to the droves and droves of social media posts, reviews of different institutions, etc. etc. that talk (and say) about a great many of these things and the comments that talk about "do this instead of that" or "I would've done this." I've seen it to be valuable but ultimately counterproductive in most cases.
So here are my questions in no particular (fucked up) order: (Again as notes to myself to know what to ask when i start talking to the schools and if there
... keep reading on reddit β‘After 8 years in the industry I noticed a lot of people don't know and want to know about what life is like as a water engineer.
If you're interested I'm trying to create public available information about what life is like as a water engineer and give people a bit more of an insight into the career.
