A list of puns related to "Vw Golf"
Just got a Golf MK7 and itโs great to drive but never seen a car with so bad window condensation. I park it near my work and when I go back it is the only car that windows are completely covered. Climate control/Ac does the job pretty fast but it is driving me crazy why is happening in first place. Any Golf owners got any recommendation how to solve this?
Update: Plot twist. Today was a sunny day and itโs the first time I found my car not fogged up at all after work. So it appears it happens when it rains during the day.
Update 2: My wife came home same time on her car. I just put the rubbish out and both cars parked outside, already dark and cold now but my car is fogged up, hers is not.
Which of these 3 do you recommend the most? Just recently passed and I'm now looking for an auto in the region of <ยฃ5000. I've been told the VW golf is the most fun to drive, the Fabia is the most sensible but I like the looks of the SEAT the most lol. Also what does everyone think of the 1.2 TSI variants that are available in the Ibiza and the Fabia? Seems fairly fuel efficient and also insurance is quite cheap on them! What should I go for?
TLDR: What models should I look at -- specify new or used -- that will give me fuel economy and luggage space, such as the VW Golf and similar?
I'm roughly looking for a new or not-too-old VW Golf. Which current, new models should I consider at this price? Which models should I consider that are a money-saving down-grade? Same question for used up to 4 years old.
My needs are +willing to compromise on these, but I want to know which models have these):
-- Fuel efficency
-- Reliability/longevity/reputable engineering (I tend to have cars repaired as they age, slower to trade in)
-- Luggage: hatchback over sedan; 4-door over 2; will consider crossover or smaller SUV
My wants are:
-- manual transmission
-- better value: will trade 40k+ miles for significant savings
-- good handling
-- comfortable seats for long drives
Which of these needs or wants are incompatible within roughly the VW Golf budget?
Was searching for some sports cars for about 3 months now and finally decided to get a FWD hatchback with 200 hp. And boy does it go. If anyoneโs asking itโs a 2007.
Edit: it's a coupe with 200 hp, how is it not a sports car?
So I drive a 2013 Golf TDI with the DSG Auto/Manual transmission. I ride a 2007 Honda CBR 600rr, weighing in at 421 pounds. I have a removable trailer hitch I can put onto my car (have not used yet I just got it as a gift) rated to 2,000 pounds.
I want to go on trips this summer and some destinations are a bit far to ride on a sport bike. I am wondering if should purchase a 600lb rated carrier, one you drive the bike up onto right at the back of your vehicle, or should I purchase a little trailer to put it on and pull it to and from? I just didn't know the best option as in my mind wouldnt more weight being directly at the back of my car be bad? vs the weight sort of spread out using trailer?
Or if I shouldn't tow anything at all with my car? Haha it's been well taken care of, just hit 141k on the odometer, and she's a powerful mean bean.
Thank you if you took the time to read โฎโ๐ป
My previous car was a Corolla 2020 Hybrid. I loved the size and thought it was a solid car (52 mpg). But I found the seats too uncomfortable, and I just couldn't do anything to remedy that. It was also a bit underpowered.
Then I got a Tesla Model Y. I determined that it just wasn't for me for various reasons (including price and size - I prefer a compact and just don't need that much car). So I just turned around and sold it for nearly as much as I paid and considered it a fun learning experience.
So now I'm considering Mazda3 Hatch and the Golf TSI. Reviewers tend to favor the Mazda, but I find the Golf more attractive, and I don't really care for the "luxurious" cabin of the Mazda. I do think the Mazda has better tech though. I can't believe that VW still puts the cigarette-lighter plug in their car. And there's no remote start by default.
I got to test drive the Golf and enjoyed it. I think it'd be a great daily driver for me.
The Mazda dealership showed a reliability chart with Mazda at the top and VW near the bottom, and that kinda got to me.
Thoughts?
