A list of puns related to "Vacuum Mattress"
I know it should be opened in under a month, however due to unfortunate housing and financial issues, it has sadly remained sealed since August...
This was a replacement mattress for the previous two that sadly failed (the foam on the sides kept separating from the grid, on both). The plan was to keep the existing "broken" one for now, and open the new one after moving (I was able to keep the broken mattress as I am donating it).
Since it's now been over 4 months, what kind of condition can I expect it to be in? It was a Queen with pocketed coils, and standard size grid height.
Thank you!
Also interested to hear if anyone else has experienced the same foam separation issue as me.
I had to buy a foam type mattress topper on vacation & don't want to waste the money. I'd like to somehow put the mattress topper back in it's box and check it at the airport. I don't have any air suction device like a vacuum & space saver bags. It's a king mattress topper btw. Thank you in advance!!
Looking for a new mattress, but I don't have a car so looking into options for delivery (maybe IKEA or other similar store). I'm reading some reviews online seeing a lot of people say any mattress that can be vacuum-packed and rolled for delivery in a smaller box won't be of good quality. Is this true?
Context for suggestions: I live in the Czech Republic
Edit: Thanks for the feedback. I had feeling it was bs, so good to know for sure. Looked into this mysterious purple mattress and looks like it's not available in the EU. So I'll focus on memory foam instead.
Hi guys, Iβm looking for advice. I work as a disability support worker and recently, my client has been complaining of bed bugs, mind you, we havenβt actually seen any. My team leader sent an email to staff, saying that we may have to vacuum the mattress ourselves, which is what the mother suggested. I absolutely refuse to of that because thatβs not my job. There are paid professionals who are paid to do that, for a reason. Also, Iβm extremely afraid of bugs (any and every) to the point where I wonβt even kill them. Irrational? Yes, but still.
TLDR; Team leader expects staff to vacuum bed bug ridden bed; can I refuse and what will happen if I do?
I keep seeing this on buzzfeed lists and was curious if this is a needed appliance? I I have a pretty strong handvac that plugs in and I'm curious if this would be superior somehow or if I should just save my $$.
Hi everyone!
Hoping to get some help with purchasing a vacuum cleaner.
I've read all the guides provided but some of it is a bit technical or me so hoping to get some help here.
I live in Canada in a small apartment (635 sqft). No pets and only laminate flooring for the apartment. I also need this machine to clean the couch and mattress as well and I'm having trouble finding info for that sort of function.
Despite the limited space I have now, I'd like to buy a cannister vacuum for when I move to hopefully a larger space, but I'm open to stick/handheld if they are really good.
So far I've been eyeing the Miele Complete C3 Limited Edition Canister Vacuum ($499 CAD), but also the Miele Compact C1 Hardfloor Plus Canister Vacuum ($599) , Miele Classic C1 Hardfloor Canister Vacuum ($549.99) as they are available at Costco at this time. I have no idea how well these perform on a couch and mattress.
Here is the link but not sure if you can see what I see if you set it to my Province (British Columbia)https://www.costco.ca/canister-vacuums.html
The issue is that although I could justify getting any one of those models, I was hoping to see if there were any other makes and models you fine folks could recommend that would be a bit cheaper (hopefully under $400 CAD pre-tax)
Any help with this is greatly appreciated and Thanks in advance
I've Googled, Amazon-ed, and looked at all usual home store shops but I can't seem to find a decent vacuum pack bag that is big and strong enough to take a folded standard double memory foam mattress topper for ease or transportation and for storage. Thought I'd throw it out here and see if anyone's found anything like this? Looking for a bag that's as big as possible.
We have a King size Ghostbed Flex hybrid mattress. I have seen a lot of people talk about the ease of vacuum compressing their foam mattresses to make their large beds much more manageable to move, but looking everywhere online canβt seem to find any information on if itβs possible to do this with a hybrid mattress. The bed was delivered to us compressed, but since itβs not just foam Iβm not sure if weβll be able to compress it ourselves with just a regular vacuum. Anyone have any experience with this type of mattress?
Hello LPT, need some help. I am moving (back) from CA to CO and using a UHaul Relocube (56"x84"x83"). We have a queen sized (60"x80"x10") foam mattress. This is a very limited space and I'm feeling the anxiety about getting our small apartment packed into it. It would help me a lot to know if vacuum packing a mattress is a viable storage option. I have scoured Google and seen varying results from Amazon products that don't look promising. Does anyone have advice or experience? Would it matter that the mattress is likely to be stored for about 5 weeks? I'm a bit concerned about the possibility of damaging the mattress, too, as who knows what lumps could occur or whatever. Advice, LPTs, would set my mind at ease.
Thank you.
So, weird situation here but I am broke and in college and I have major back issues that require me to ice my lower back pretty often. Ice packs are expensive so I use ziploc bags with soap in them (my boyfriend make them for me so I have no clue what kind of soap but I'm pretty sure it's just dish soap)
Either way you can guess what happened, I accidentally fell asleep on my makeshift ice pack and it exploded now there's a big soap stain that won't dry in my mattress. I don't have a vacuum cleaner so I am not completely sure what to do about this, I've seen some people say to put baking soda on it and then suck it up but I think the soap is pretty deep into the mattress. Anyway if anyone has been in this situation before please give me some advice!
My mattress is pretty old and is starting to smell a little bit. I didn't spill anything on it, it's not moldy or anything like that; it just needs to be cleaned. But I don't have a vacuum, nor does anyone I know. Is there another way to get the smell out? TIA
All the websites I see eventually say to use a vacuum but I'm not going to do that. Do I spray white vinegar on the mattress or something? Do I have to buy some kind of spray that's designed to clean mattresses without a vacuum? What do I do?
I'm moving out of state and want to maximize space. Has anyone tried to vacuum seal a purple mattress to move it? I have a Purple 2 queen size.
We have a King size Ghostbed Flex hybrid mattress, and will be moving soon. Don't knock it until you've tried it!
