A list of puns related to "University Of Nevada, Reno"
Iβm interested in GI fellowship, so curious to see what you all think.
My own takes on the programs -
Eisenhower: super rich and fancy, with lots of resident benefits. Not listed on the website (at least last I saw), but apparently 2 people matched GI this year - first GI matches theyβve had. They also seem to have some decent connections with other academic institutions and residents seemed happy there. I didnβt like how much the program boasted about their wealth (seemed to be a major selling point for them) but it seemed like a decent one overall. Location (Rancho Mirage/Palm Springs) is also a plus. However, didnβt meet the PD at all, which was a major letdown.
University of Nevada, Reno: was SUPER UNIMPRESSED by this program. Everything, from the programβs PowerPoint, to the Chief Q&A, to 1 of 2 of my interviewers, were lackluster. We also didnβt meet the PD at all, which added to the crappiness the program seemed to exude. Chiefs were fine, but clearly didnβt seem to want to do the Q&A and honestly didnβt seem to really love the program either. So disappointing. Also, no GI matches this year, but they have matched to some impressive places (like Emory) in the past.
Legacy Health/Emanuel: loved a lot of things about this program. They truly seemed to care about resident wellbeing and I felt it. Residents seemed happy, PD was nice and met everyone individually. Downside for me is, of course, that it is a community program. No one has matched GI in the past. Not sure what the risk looks like going for this program.
Santa Barbara Cottage Health: program vibes were⦠okay. Not super impressed. Residents we had were not super engaging either. PD was nice enough, location is amazing. I only saw one GI match recently. Nothing else.
These are some of the programs that Iβm just overall unsure of in terms of fellowship. Does anyone have any thoughts or insight?
Thank you so much in advance.

Iβm happy to announce weβve gotten permission to hire four continuing faculty positions based in our first-year writing program and writing center aimed at supporting our new corequisite initiative, which pairs a dedicated first-year writing class with reading and writing support labs run out of our writing and speaking center (2 of the hires will be teaching the writing courses and the other 2 will be running the writing center labs). Students served by these credit-bearing courses would have traditionally been placed in non-credit basic writing courses. Here are the positions:

Study estimates indicate the number of COVID-19 infections is higher than reported
Reno/Sparks, NV β The Washoe County Health District (WCHD) and the University of Nevada, Reno, School of Community Health Sciences completed a public health surveillance study to better estimate the prevalence of COVID-19 in Washoe County.
The study (summary can be found here) included 1,270 randomly selected households from 128 unique census blocks in Washoe County. There were 234 adult participants who responded and provided a blood sample for a COVID-19 antibody test June 9-10. The results from the 234 tests were weighted based on the current adult population and demographic data (race/ethnicity, age and sex) available for Washoe County.
The results, with a 95 percent confidence interval, show:
The methodology for selection of random households is a modification of what the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) uses in the event of p
