A list of puns related to "Unexciting"
My depression and lack of motivation to do anything means she lives a boring life. She wakes up when I wake up. I take downstairs so she can go out in the run to do her morning business. She then comes back in the house shortly after, I feed her, I eat breakfast, and after we occasionally play a few minutes of pull toy.
I then go upstairs and vegetate in front of the computer while she follows me and lays down on her bed where she remains till around 1:00 when I let her out again and give her a midday biscuit and I eat lunch
We then both go back upstairs, me returning to the computer and she back to her bed until about 5:00 when I take her downstairs for her dinner and her evening outing into the run to do her business. I eat dinner and watch some TV in the living room while she goes back upstairs where she again just lays on her bed.
I come back upstairs a couple of hours later and vegetate in the computer room until about 11p.m or so when I then take her downstairs one last time to go in the run into her business and a Dentastik as a final snack. We then go upstairs into the bedroom and turn in for the night. That's pretty much her life.
The only variation is if I have to go to a client during the day and I'm not home around 1:00 my elderly mother will let her out midday and give her her midday treat. If I'm not home by 5:00 then my mother will also let her out and give her her dinner.
But in the end my dog has a very uneventful boring life much like me and I feel bad that I can't give her more exciting life.
So I feel like I'm not having much success in dating because I'm pretty boring. I don't know if this is true or not though.
Thing is, I'm a stable guy with a lot of good qualities. I run my own business (I work from home as a therapist), and it's successful. Good car, good place to live. Outside of that I got trained in voice acting over Covid, but work keeps me busy so I can't pursue that as much as I want to. If I feel like kayaking I go. If I feel like traveling I go do that. I do boxing and fitness and some writing. I make ceramic coasters with photography and designs I do. All pretty solitary things.
But I cannot get over this boring hump. I don't know how to be more exciting. But maybe I'm placing too much emphasis on that. I always look for new hobbies or something that would make me stand out and not be boring, but I can't seem to find anything that sticks. It often seems like traveling and partying are the two main things that people like now, and I am not a party guy.
I don't have an "And." Meaning I'm not stable AND "something exciting." I'm not funny AND "something exciting." I'm a therapist so I'm a good listener and communicator, but that hasn't really been seen as sexy haha. I think a male therapist is not really seen as hot these days haha.
Am I overthinking this? Or is there a way for me to not feel so boring?
Hi,
I'm perhaps not a typical digital nomad, as I have a full-time job that I intend to keep. There is a very high chance that I will be allowed to work from a foreign country at least for a couple of months if I ask (my coworkers have done so without issue).
My reason for trying this is that I hate the cold. Other than the climate, I love living in Helsinki. So, I'm looking for a place where everything just works, human interaction can be minimized (I realize I have to be a bit flexible with these first two, since I suspect nowhere warm beats Finland in that regard), and it's possible to run, cycle (both preferably from your front door) and eat healthy (easily and getting stuff from like a supermarket or takeaway place, I have no desire to walk around markets looking for produce). Not looking for the cheapest location possible, but not any sort of luxury resort either. Within the EU would be great for bureaucratic reasons.
It doesn't have to be super hot, but not a crazy amount of rain and at least 15C most days around December-February would be nice. Over 30 is getting a bit too warm for me.
Right now I'm looking at Portugal (Algarve or around Lisbon) or the Canary Islands (I don't really mind things being touristy). I've been on a couple of vacations in those places. Any comments or other ideas?
My (24F, she/her) girlfriend (24NB, she/they) and I have been together for nearly 2 years. They're on the west coast and i'm in the upper midwest. Things have gone Really well - we've been able to see each other more frequently in 2021 (about every 2 months), I've been on family vacations and I'll be with her for Christmas. We are both head over heels in love and I'm so grateful for them.
Lately, I've been going through an intense bout of depression. The winter season makes things worse. I'm in therapy, but recently I've realized just how horrible I truly feel. Along with that, I'm really worried I'm not doing enough to pay attention to or be engaged with my girlfriend. We talk every day, over text and on the phone. Usually we watch a show together once a week, but the past few weeks have been busy with school and work, so we haven't even done that. I last saw them in late October and I know I wasn't at my best. I felt pretty lethargic and I could barely pack my suitcase.
I've let my girlfriend know how I'm feeling, and I know they understand completely and do not judge me for it. However, I'm scared of my problems becoming "too much" for her, or making her feel like I don't care about her because my texts aren't super interesting or I don't have much energy. I don't want to lose them.
What are some simple things I can do to let her know I care, or make me feel more present on a daily basis? Something besides TV.
Hopefully we are in the home stretch of LDR...we're looking to move in together in the next 3 months or so. Fingers crossed.
Partly inspired by wondering how well "the shelf" will work as a change in the arena dynamic: are there other 'reasonable' things that could be done to fix the situation when overpowered weapons get taken out early and you're watching a couple Nokia phones bang around for two minutes?
I was thinking amping up the Pulverizers by multiplying their power once both primary weapons have not triggered for 30 seconds... or maybe having an arena weapon for each team with ten shots that fires a smokeless Roman Candle that tries to set the other team's bot on fire or something. The latter might not do much but it would be a lot of fun to watch.
Iβm talking about Ruggs, Mims, Edwards, and Pittman, Reagor, Van Jef, Gandy-Golden, and Hamler.
Who are you writing off? Who are you targeting?
Surprisingly finding an original arm rest has been exceedingly difficult (i do recognize how lucky i am an arm rest is my biggest concern). I was finally able to obtain the original plastic arm rest without the padding, but now concerned to even install it knowing how fragile they have been in their natural setting.
The one i have doesn't have the piece of plastic to attach it to the console, rather it was previously attached with metal hinges. If i were to install it, what you suggest to:
A. install it so its more sturdy in its natural state
Be. install it so the unsightly metal hinges arent visibile when the arm rest is closed.
Any suggestions would be helpful
With the term ''nerdy'' I refer to people who tend to show great interest in video games, books (such as fantasy or sci-fi), action movies etc.
Right now, the grass is looking really green on your end.
I mean, you can probably sum up your life story without traumatizing anyone or making them feel inadequate/guilty. You're automatically assumed to be honest, even by complete strangers. You don't have PTSD or wonder how you're ever going to reach your highest highs again.
And you know what tomorrow is going to look like. You have a safety and a foundation to build from that some of us would kill for. It's like being psychic, in the best possible way.
That said, I'm very aware that I have no idea what the hell I'm talking about.
So, what very obvious things am I missing?
For those of you who are about to retire and are in your 40s-50s, what would you say to those in their 20s who can't see or feel the power of long term investing and consistently contributing to your 401k?
Feel free to also offer an alternative perspective (maybe you didn't use a 401k to build up your retirement savings, for example).
The whole idea seems outdated TBH. He has to give consecutive hits if he wants to be on top. Competition is indeed very tough.
I don't know. Whenever I see Brooks, I don't have desire to try them. They make good shoes, my first running shoes, and have some awesome ones (Hyperion tempo) but overall it's brand just somehow not as exciting as others. Feel like it misses the train of the last tide of running tech like Asics did before. It's comfortable shoes for beginners but that's where it stops.
I have to say it before it ever goes live. We donβt need them...at all. The game is easy enough with 3* legendaries. We also do not need more non-tradeables. What we need is challenging end game content like more boss fights, not to make the content already in the game any easier.
Hey guys! This was a random little project I made in 30 minutes on a dare. The idea is it's a d1 system.
I was wondering if you guys had any feedback on it?

I don't really see the appeal - outside of gaming at least - and every example I've seen has convinced me my opinion is correct. Rather than be a utopia of tech and creativity, I think it's just going to be a branded hellscape where Nike invests millions to sell you shoes you don't need, but digitally.
Take this example from Ceek and H&M where they've partnered up to create an alternate version of an H&M store, that's somehow significantly worse than an already poor chain store.

Absolutely no-one has any faith in Mark Zuckerberg to act ethically, or even remotely like a human would, so his balls-deep involvement gives me the fear.
Anyways, that's my two cents. The metaverse will be just like the regularverse, consumed by capitalism with lots of shiny lights and Mark Zuckerberg trying to monetise the digital version of you.
Have a good day folks!
"While Alibabaβs June quarter Non-GAAP EPS came in 16%/15% above JPMe and consensus estimates, we donβt expect a beat-and-raise positive share price reaction as 1) itβs unlikely that investors will raise earnings forecast for the rest of the year given a full year target to βreinvest all of the incremental profit into growth opportunitiesβ, and 2) the stock has not been trading on earnings revisions in 2021, in our view. Growth metrics (MAU, AAC, etc.) look healthy but donβt seem to meaningfully benefit from reinvestment activities. We expect the share price to be range-bound in the near future."

I'm currently a Master's student and my work is in environmental physiology which uses insects as model organisms. It involves molecular, genetic, and microbiological techniques. I love my work, don't get me wrong. What I'm facing a bit of difficulty in, however, is finding and creating opportunities to communicate my research to people outside of my niche community (i.e: other environmental physiologists). I notice that my colleagues and peers who do work in nature or animal conservation, cancer research, diabetes research, and mental illness get tons more attention on social media and are often approached to be interviewed for an article or even morning radio!
I know that these are topics that the general public care about since they noticeably impact us to varying extents. But outside of physiology conferences and publishing papers, what are some ways in which I could extend my outreach to a broader audience?
90% of lineups in non noob tier include them
GL : Azumarill, Altaria, Registeel UL: Togekiss, Giratina Altered, Registeel ML: Togekiss, Giratina Origin, Diagla
There are 18 different typing in the game, would like to see more some buffs to others and nerf to these for some diversity.
...what ever that means.
