Twickenham Puns

Hey,

We're looking at our next move. We want to move a bit further out to get more for our money. We're looking at the South West corner, from Surbiton to Twickenham, out to Walton-on-Thames & Weybridge (Surrey, blimey.)

One of the things I can't seem to get my head away from is the late night connections into/out from London. I have this nightmare about being at a pub in central and getting caught up in the beers only to miss my last train back and getting stuck. Even worse if it was my Mrs stuck out on her own late at night.

Additionally, every now and then - despite being in my 30s - I go to a house/techno gig which naturally ends at 2/3/4am.

Will Ubers and/or black cabs take you out to the areas beyond the tube network? I know Surbiton & Twickenham are London Z5/6 but still beyond the tube. What about into Surrey at Walton & Weybridge? Is this a really stupid question?

I’ve been to Twickenham loads of times for internationals but never for a club game. I just bought tickets for me and my brother to the big game 13 between Quins and Saints on a bit of whim so would be interested to know what others’ experiences of those games have been like.

I’m an American visiting London and am staying in Twickenham. I’m wondering if there is a good pub close by to watch the match today? Obviously I wish it was a home match but watching with other Arsenal fans is the next best thing!

The whole vibe of that place didn't seem conducive to creativity. I think it shows how extraordinarily talented they were.

This weekend will be my first time in Twickenham and just wanted to know from those who have gone before what the best way is to attack the day, do people go early to the ground or is it best to stay in a nearby boozer to watch the early game then head up to the stadium? What time would should I aim to be around the area?

Coming in from East London so can be quite early but right now we are thinking about getting to either Twickenham for about 12/1230 sinking a few in a pub during the Scotland game then heading into the stadium

Probably a really dumb question but how do you get tickets for a Twickenham six nation match? Im English and my dad is Welsh and it's been a tradition for us to watch any matches between the two with some friendly banter. He's an old man now and I'd love to get tickets for us to go see the England v Wales game in person at the upcoming six nations but I an't find any info on when they go on sale to general public? Am I too late?
