A list of puns related to "Tvokids"
the only lyrics i remember are ''If you don't know how to be nice, follow this list and you'll be (wise?)
Honestly, why isn't there an archive for these songs, they were bops.
Thanks in advance
So much of the content for kids on Netflix and YouTube is absolute brain-melting trash (Cocomelon anyone?). As a rule in our house, the only TV allowed during the day is TVOKids live stream on YouTube, and it's amazing how I never see it with more than 60 people streaming it at a time, no matter what time of day or night it is. It seems to be criminally underused in a province of nearly 15 million people, for the value it provides.
Parents, I just wanted to point out that this channel is 100% educational content, all day every day, and my children go nuts for it and learn tons. For example, last week my six year old informed me that beans, squash and corn help each other grow, and were called the Three Sisters by the indigenous people. Right now, they're learning about ammonites on their lunch break!
If you want a great free alternative to some of the garbage out there, you could do worse than our taxpayer-funded TVOKids! Just type in TVOKids in the YouTube search bar, and look for their livestream. Their website also does a great job explaining what subjects and grades the shows target, and there's tons of opportunity for kids to participate and even get on TV.
And no, I don't work for TVOKids lol.
My two young sons, 3 and 4 get screen time after school, like many kids. A lot of the time they watch things about math, reading and science. They also watch things like Vlad and Niki and Ryan's world.
But lately they've been choosing to watch "low battery charging animation compilations" and battery dying simulations, (those tend to be silly tiktoks with a giant number count down in front of it, until it cuts off randomly at "0%")
The charging animations are just odd. Just bad animations, strange emotions on the faces. And a trend for them to be "overcharged", like in the billions of %. And while they weird me out, I'm assuming it's linked to my adult brain. (they often remind me of force feeding fetish), I assume they are inane and just cotton candy for their minds. So I don't tell them no like I have with other things (Gacha and the baby alive channel to name a couple)
My question is, what the hell is it, why are there soooo many? Why do they exist, out side of numbers obsessed preschoolers, who is this for? And I guess, a small, paranoid mother, of me wonders if I should keep letting them watch it, or if it get weird. The existence of these videos, and the amount of them baffles me!
Also TVOkids. My 4 your old likes those, and again they seem inane, but boy they are just strange. Are these things just made because "hey kids like bright colors, this will get views" or is there any substance to it? Any at all, educational, entertaining or sinister? Just, any explanation would be awesome, I can't find anything about them
If you grew up in Canada around 2000-2009 you'd probably remember TVOKids, I cant find any old clips from the segements that used to take place between the shows. It was always being filmed live and I forgot the names of the hosts and everything. Does anyone have footage of TVOKids from the 2000s? All I have is this old picture of some of the hosts from back then from Google.

CANADIANS HELP! My sister and I cannot find what the name of the game and short tv specials that came on between shows was called. We remember it was on TvoKids, and that it had to do with dragon, one of which was old and had facial hair. The game took place in a cave and youβd go on quests and get gems. Please Help!
I cannot for the life of me find this cartoon, but I remember it so vividly. It was on air around 2003-2005ish and ran in half hour blocks with two 15 minute segments. A typical episode would go like this: Robots at base, distress call, choosing the right vehicle for the job, go on the mission, something goes wrong, they have to find a creative solution or overcome some sort of character flaw established at the beginning of the episode and fix the problem.
I think I remember the characters were a purple one (straightman), a green one (small), a greyish blue one (shy/easily stressed nerd(?)), a pink one (token girl), and an orange or yellow one (jock). For underwater missions they either used a yellow sub for 3 or a light blue one that only carried two (which I liked because it didn't show up as often as they yellow one) and a smaller sub, though that was mostly used by the green one, I think.
My memories are vague and my own research has come up blank. I may be misremembering things, but I swear this show exists. I just can't find it anywhere.
I'm 2 hours drive from the nearest paved road in a small Ger (yurt) in Mongolia. Yet I just watched a broadcast of Science Max dubbed in Mongolian with a small Mongolian child. It's just really cool that a program funded from our province has made it across the world. I believe it was through the company Da Vinci Learning.
It involves a character (anthropomorphic hedgehog I think) with a sister and friends trying to solve a mystery and you have to help solve it. The only things I remember from it are picking up a salt shaker behind a school next to the basketball court and also the title screen design (I donβt remember the title).
Could someone please find this Iβve been searching for years
It's a show I used to watch when I was a kid and the only details I remember was that it was a cartoon about a white family living in Africa and the main character was a white girl with blonde hair. I cannot find it on the net no matter how hard I search. So I would be forever grateful if someone could find it.
I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.
Alot of great jokes get posted here! However just because you have a joke, doesn't mean it's a dad joke.
THIS IS NOT ABOUT NSFW, THIS IS ABOUT LONG JOKES, BLONDE JOKES, SEXUAL JOKES, KNOCK KNOCK JOKES, POLITICAL JOKES, ETC BEING POSTED IN A DAD JOKE SUB
Try telling these sexual jokes that get posted here, to your kid and see how your spouse likes it.. if that goes well, Try telling one of your friends kid about your sex life being like Coca cola, first it was normal, than light and now zero , and see if the parents are OK with you telling their kid the "dad joke"
I'm not even referencing the NSFW, I'm saying Dad jokes are corny, and sometimes painful, not sexual
So check out r/jokes for all types of jokes
r/unclejokes for dirty jokes
r/3amjokes for real weird and alot of OC
r/cleandadjokes If your really sick of seeing not dad jokes in r/dadjokes
Punchline !
Edit: this is not a post about NSFW , This is about jokes, knock knock jokes, blonde jokes, political jokes etc being posted in a dad joke sub
Edit 2: don't touch the thermostat
Do your worst!
How the hell am I suppose to know when itβs raining in Sweden?
Ants donβt even have the concept fathers, let alone a good dad joke. Keep r/ants out of my r/dadjokes.
But no, seriously. I understand rule 7 is great to have intelligent discussion, but sometimes it feels like 1 in 10 posts here is someone getting upset about the jokes on this sub. Let the mods deal with it, they regulate the sub.
They were cooked in Greece.
I'm surprised it hasn't decade.
Now that I listen to albums, I hardly ever leave the house.
Don't you know a good pun is its own reword?
Two muffins are in an oven, one muffin looks at the other and says "is it just me, or is it hot in here?"
Then the other muffin says "AHH, TALKING MUFFIN!!!"
For context I'm a Refuse Driver (Garbage man) & today I was on food waste. After I'd tipped I was checking the wagon for any defects when I spotted a lone pea balanced on the lifts.
I said "hey look, an escaPEA"
No one near me but it didn't half make me laugh for a good hour or so!
Edit: I can't believe how much this has blown up. Thank you everyone I've had a blast reading through the replies π
It really does, I swear!
And now Iβm cannelloni
Because she wanted to see the task manager.
And boy are my arms legs.
But thatβs comparing apples to oranges
