A list of puns related to "Thrush"
I suspect I have a yeast infection because Iβm experiencing some itching down there, some redness, the thick cottage cheese like discharge in my labia folds and one small, recurring cut after sex on my posterior fourchette. However, my discharge seems so be normal. So is it possible to only have thrush externally/ affecting the vulva not the vagina???
I did take an Organic acids test and the one thing that came back abnormally high was oxalates (356) which they said in the results can be a sign of candida. Not one you see mentioned much else where though it seems. I do fail the spit test constantly anytime of day.
Any suggestions on what test to ask for or how to best decrease die off symptoms safely would be a appreciated. Thank you.
I actually got oral thrush/yeast from Antibiotic use and then steroids. I have tried for over a year using nystatin, daktarin and fluconazole to get rid of it and it still isnβt gone. This includes tounge scraping and mouth washes. Has anyone actually got a detailed way they got rid of it??
I definitely don't want to tell her the real reason
(20/F) hello! Iβm very, VERY new to this community. New as in, I didnβt know what the term βcandidaβ meant nor have I ever heard of it prior to today. I recently started taking AZO complete feminine balance probiotic (which is taken orally) to try and clear up what I thought was either recurring BV or yeast infections. Iβve taken it for the past 5 days now and it seemed to have helped β¦ down there. But this morning I woke up with a huge red ulcer under my tongue and another one on the roof of my mouth, all accompanied by a white tongue and a metal taste in my mouth. Iβve read some things online saying that lactobacillus (the main bacteria in the AZO product Iβve been taking) would actually clear up oral thrush/candida overgrowth in the mouth. Additionally, I do take 30mg adderall XR which causes a little bit of dryness in my mouth, but nothing like what Iβm feeling right now. What the hell is going on??? I have a referral already for an ENT (shockingly for sinusitis and not candida overgrowth concerns) but I guess it works out that both of my main concerns are taken care of by ENTs! ANYWAYβ has anyone ever heard of anything like this? I cannot find a single thing about it online. PLEASE HELP!!!
Hello MGM!
I just had my first baby 3 weeks ago. Iβm breastfeeding and have sore nipples. Internet says itβs either poor latch or thrush.
Baby girl had a drs appointment today and I had her checked for thrush. Pediatrician said she has a very mild case, not enough to treat, just enough to keep an eye on.
But my nipples hurt! It could still be bad latch β I have been getting lazy about making sure sheβs on there correctly, but I donβt want it to get worse.
Are there any home remedies or over the counter treatments you can recommend?
Thank you!!
I swear over the last like 6 months Iβve had oral thrush back to back to back. Iβm getting so irked.
Fortunately Iβm seeing my primary doc tomorrow so Iβll get something from them - BUT I woke up this morning and my tongue hurt and now I have probably one of the worst cases of oral thrush Iβve ever had to date. My tongue is swollen and there are lesions where the thrush doesnβt cover because theyβre open. This sucks ass.
Does anyone else suffer with this? If so, what can I do to help this stop π
Hello everyone , Iβve been to the Dr today whoβs made it official, or at least what he thinks is official , that I have oral thrush. I canβt see anything on my tongue other than a little bit of white at the back , but he thinks itβs in my throat. All food smells exactly as it tastes, an awful awful yeasty mouldy taste.
What can I do to mask the taste, it doesnβt really bother me unless I eat. Are there any ways I could mask it whilst eating. Everyoneβs ordering a Chinese tonight and I donβt want it to taste horrible !!! First world issues eh π€·πΌββοΈ
Hi all!
I received all 3 shots from Moderna. I got my booster Dec 20th. I had the normal fever, body aches, arm pain..but as I recovered I noticed I had a cotton mouth feeling, and a crack at the corner of my lip. I figured it was from my immune system working overdrive so my doctor gave me a mouthwash to swish and swallow. Which cleared it up. Now, Jan 6th I woke up with a crack at the corner of my lip and the cotton mouth feeling.
I know most healthy people donβt get oral thrush (yeast) in their mouths. Of course Iβm sure there are some who do. Itβs really just fungus. But Iβve never had this before. Iβm 33F, no HIV, no diabetes. I stay hydrated, and take a cocktail of vitamins daily. Iβm worried to say the least. Has this happened to anyone else?
Thank you.
What does it feel like?
All of a sudden my right breast and nipple are killing me.. especially the nipple. I use a spectra pump, usually on 5, and now can barely handle 3. I feel like I wish I were topless all day because fabric touching my breast hurts.
The only changes I have made have been that I pumped 6 times yesterday for longer. I had pumped maybe 8 times, but itβs such a hassle and waking up every 3 hours to pump is killing me.
Also, I used the elvie catch in my bra during that day.. previously I hadnβt been wearing bras and have just been ruining shirt after shirt.
My nipples are a bit itchy when he latches. But not pink. I did feel a deep pain in my breast when he nursed earlier. Are there any other symptoms to look for Do? Should I call my OB, PC or pediatrician?
Make sure when you speak to your lactation specialist that they tell you about nipple thrush and flange sizes. But first, RANT: I wish I could slap the shit out of the specialist I spoke to at the hospital. She was so pushy on exclusively breastfeeding. She didn't even seem okay with exclusively pumping. Like I know breast milk is the best thing you can give your baby so why are you so annoyed with me bottle feeding with breast milk? My son would not latch no matter how hard to tried. I had 4 different nurses finagling my tits to try to get him to latch correctly. Within 2 hours of trying I was already bleeding out of one nipple. Not even a nipple shield worked, pumping was my next best option. Anyways, when I told her that I would just pump instead she very bluntly said "okay, make sure you pump every feeding to keep supply up." And that was it. Walked right out the room. Fast-forward 2 months postpartum and I'm in PAIN. My nipples are sore, stingy, stabby, swollen, and angry red. Being a first time mom I literally thought it was just the process I had to go through to get tougher nipples. I only found out after 2 months of constantly pumping every 3 hours in excruciating pain that I had nipple thrush because my son had thrush in his mouth. Not only that but I suffered through 2 bouts of mastitis bc my flanges were the wrong size and weren't emptying my breasts correctly. I'm a FTM and had no idea that there were different flange sizes, I just used the 24mm that came with it when I really needed 21mm.
With that said, find out what flange size you are if you plan on pumping it will save you a lot of pain. Also if you do get thrush Lotrimin AF is your best friend.
I've tried everything. Tablet. External cream. Internal cream. Pressure. The bastard still comes back again, I wear loser clothes, drink more water, it still comes back. Am I sick and dying here? The chemist said that may have a serious infection but all my Dr said was "thsts unlucky". They told me to find a female Dr but they are hard to find. What could it be?
