> A virtual media blackout at the remote republic of Nauru is set to be temporarily broken, after tabloid television program A Current Affair announced it had gained exclusive access to the island's offshore detention centre.
> "We'll take you inside the Australian-run regional processing centre ... it marks the very first time that a television crew has been granted access to the controversial facility," the statement said.
> "I'm sure that ACA journalists will be doing their best on Nauru, but it's likely they will not have free access to all of the island and they may well be being taken to selected locations," he said.
> "We don't know how they got permission to go to Nauru and what conditions were placed on them. What did ACA have to agree to in order to get their visas?" he said.
> On the ABC's Q&A program on Monday night, Opposition Leader Bill Shorten said a Labor government would allow journalists to visit Nauru and Manus Island detention centres, saying "This nation operates best if you treat people as smart and intelligent and tell them what's going on".
> It was understood the raid was connected to a Guardian Australia article involving an email to detention centre staff, which said Nauruan journalists would be allowed to enter the detention centre to "Reinstate balance" in media reporting.

Tom Leach's Hampshire Live article doesn't really have any more information in it.

By the way, this Drakan Solak is NOT the same as the Chess player. Totally different guy, who just happens to have the same name.

In 2008, I was 38 years old and had heard of the term, "Hollywood fixers". That was the extent of it- heard of the term. If I had to think about it I guess I'd picture shady men in cheap suits, working for studios, making sure their investments weren't laid to waste by this or that famous person's bad behavior. My mind back then didn't need to conjure up much more. I wasn't a celebrity.Β I wasn't on the wrong side of any celebrity. Back then I watched TV, saw movies, read magazine articles with no thought to the subject of this post-- Hollywood fixers. Flash forward to May of 2008, and unbeknownst to me two of the most efficient fixers were doing everything in their power to protect a Tig Notaro's brand and assets. The two fixers that I know of are Marty Singer and Jules Kroll.
During my case, there was little about both men to be found on the internet. Now there is much more but too little for my tastes still. Though there is a few links and even two books that I know of, it doesn't feel as if it has reached critical mass. Most folks seem in the dark enough for these firms to operate freely.
But this isn't a board about my case but about Hilaria Baldwin and her HIGHLY UNPLEASANT husband, Alec Baldwin. A big question here, often posed in exasperation -- how does Hillary keep seeming semi uncanceled? How is it that her husband appears not canceled enough, in relation to his actions? Actions such as uh... calling someone a coon, a fag, a Ralston(!!) So much more cancel-worthy behavior, but no need to go over it here. Is he storing Teflon-coated kryptonite in those eye bags?.
Another frustrating mystery is why the MSM seems so loudly silent when it comes to this gruesome twosome. The Spanish grift got some play in the New York Post and then with Twitter and everything it went viral but that took ten friggin years. Then, pepinos found beyond compelling evidence that Hillary'heralded bounce back was just another con on the public. Pictures of her in a black dress and a belly the shape of a box. C'mon no way that's not a story. It's a great story that would attract many clicks and views. The way the Baldwins behaved after the shooting is also a big fat story. It was outrageous and it was fascinating. And, let us not forget the Sabourin case.
From my esoteric(cause the vast majority of people don't get so unlucky as to have fixers fixing their case, from start to finish) perspective, I see a strong possibility that

Having said that I only knew what I had seen from supermarket tabloids or the things I watched on television so I did not have all the facts. Prior to even the DNA excluding them, when I began to read the actual truth from the files that were put out by the BPD, I, began to really question their ( the Ramseyβs) involvement.
Then once I heard about the second attack 2 miles down the road, ( 9 months after JBβs death) with another young girl in her bed, another intruder who hid in the house and waited for the family members to fall asleep, another guy that looked like the profile of the young man that the two Ramsey neighbors saw approaching the Ramsey home the night of the 26th, and the face they found the same exact camel cigarette butts at that crime scene that they did at the Ramsey crime scene, that pretty much made me 98% sure that it was no longer the Ramseyβs.
I also do believe that the same young man that attacked Amy (the little girl that went to JonBenetβs dance class), is the same man that killed JonBenet. His MO is identical, he smoked the exact same cigarettes ( Camel cigarettes arenβt exactly the most popular brand), And he told that little girl Amy while SA in her bed, if She made a noise, heβd kill her. I believe if her parents had not woken up that night more than likely that little girl wouldβve been missing from her bedroom that morning when they woke up or she wouldβve been found dead somewhere in their home as well.
Well that case happening so close to JBβs murder definitely made me begin to change my mind, but what completely changed my mind was something that hit me one day.
IF The Ramseyβs were guilty, THEY were the ones who could decide the timeline for that morning. If they killed their daughter by accident or even if Burke did, They had all night and they couldβve use the whole next morning to get rid of her body. Yet it was at the same time that Patsy Ramsey got up every single day that she found the note and they called 911.
It wasnβt 2-3 hours later, it was the same time according to everyone that knew her and thatβs including her house keeper ( trashy bitch lady trying to make money off a little girlβs murder).
They did not have to leave the body in the house. Throughout the night they couldβve stuff JBβs body in the car trunk , couldβve driven out to a field , they couldβve dumped her body in a lake somewhere. These are tw

The following story is a translation of this article released on Monday to celebrate Jan Tomaszewski's 74th birthday. It isn't a classic biography of a football player, but rather an attempt to explain why arguably the greatest goalkeeper in history of Poland (or at least one of top 3) nowadays isn't as beloved as one could think. The article was adressed to those who already know Tomaszewski. Hardly anyone outside of Poland does, so I feel obligated to provide a short introduction from Wikipedia:
>Jan Tomaszewski is a Polish former footballer who played as a goalkeeper. He kept goal for the Poland national teams that came third at the 1974 World Cup, where he was named Best Goalkeeper, that won the silver medal at the 1976 Summer Olympics, and that competed at the 1978 World Cup.
>
>Tomaszewski is best remembered for his performance for the Poland national team against England, in a qualifying match for the 1974 World Cup, which England needed to win. Tomaszewski had been labelled "a clown" by Brian Clough before the match (the two men however became quite friendly in later years), but had the last laugh as he turned in a man-of-the-match performance repeatedly denying England's attackers; the only goal he conceded being an equalizing penalty from Allan Clarke. Poland drew 1β1 and qualified for the finals in West Germany at the expense of England.
>
>Poland went on to claim third place during a World Cup in which Tomaszewski saved two penalties in two different matches (from Staffan Tapper and Uli HoeneΓ) β the first keeper in FIFA World Cup history to do so. Tomaszewski went on to win a silver medal with Poland at the 1976 Summer Olympics, and also played in the 1978 World Cup, where Poland disappointed in only managing to get as far as the second group phase.
Now, provided with the basics, we can begin.
"I have my view and I agree with it" - that's one of the favorite sayings of Jan Tomaszewski. And indeed, Tomaszewski has an opinion on every subject. He is invariably ready to deliver a fiery tirade, during which he will fire off at least ten sentences suitable for a clickbait headline. He is always sharp. He is always deeply appalled by something, he is always demanding someone's resignation, he is always furiously angry. Even though barely a few weeks earlier he was also angry, but

The lack of convincing explanations for the "disappearance" of a tennis player highlights China's strains in the field of communication. This explains why the West has been able to constantly undermine Beijing's public opinion.
The tennis star's disappearance from the public eye after accusing a government official of sexually assaulting her has raised the eyebrows of many in the industry, including former world No. 1 Naomi Osaka.
In China, it's not uncommon for celebrities to "disappear" when they cause a political storm - a recent case in point is businessman Jack Ma. At this point, it seems unlikely that the tennis player will be arrested or completely disappear from the public eye. But there's no denying that China's response to this matter has been far from satisfactory.
On Wednesday night, China Global Television Network (CGTN) posted on its Western social media accounts an email purporting to have been sent by the player to the Women's Tennis Association, saying she was fine and just "resting.
The problem is that the email is not at all convincing, it looks more like a screenshot of a document with a hovering cursor. As you can imagine, the Western media will lash out at this poor PR treatment and use it to deepen their unjustified narrative about China. Notably: even China's supporters on these social media platforms have refused to even defend the email.
But this blunder is not an isolated case, and it exposes a broader and more obvious fact: China has done a poor, if not abysmal, job of public relations and opinion dissemination - or as some critics have phrased it: China is almost exclusively a "political advocate.
During the period when the U.S. was actively waging a war of public opinion against China, the U.S. was objectively a huge success, while China was a total failure in the battle for hearts and minds. Not only has China failed to build a counter narrative, but it is struggling to highlight its basic talking points.
China is clearly more capable than many Western countries in many areas, including forming a state administration, running an efficient economic system, conducting trade, and epidemic control. But clearly, the area of public opinion is not one

I wanted to spark a serious discussion, please spare the jokes and conspiracies.
Lets be respectful and follow the rules of the subreddit. No Team vs Team here. I did not write this to harm or upset anyone.
I don't want to make your mind up about anyone or anything in particular. I do really hope you stop and think about things critically.
First off
I believe people that have been visited and abducted and we are ready for disclosure.
I have been part of this community for a time (short compared to some). I am a person who had an experience like many of you. It is truly what led me here and other places in my journey for answers.
I am growing concerned for the wellbeing of people on UFO subs and other mediums. Both mentally and financially. I feel that some are here looking for answers they will never find. This is due to people leading us in one hand and taking our money in the other.
We need to hold the people accountable for their claims. We owe it to ourselves! I know there is something else out there and I know you do too.
We all disagree on a lot of things..
And that's ok! What we should not disagree on is the truth about evil intent. Some people in the UFO community may be telling stories to make a profit. We are hungry for information, so am I! but there are people in this community being taken advantage of and it should upset you!!!
Ask yourself this.
Are you seeking truth or entertainment?
If you want a fantasy experience, that's fine. This is a very fun topic for some, terror for others. I hold nothing against you and I hope you get the excitement you are looking for. That being said this discussion is not directed to you but please feel free to join in and read on. All I ask is for you to be truthful why you are here.

Doctor Who Revival Pitch by Russell T Davies

A girl meets an alien, and together they travel the universe. Forging a friendship across time and spaceβ¦
THE DOCTOR
Your best friend. Someone you want to be with, all the time. Heβs wise and funny, fast and sarky, cheeky and brave. And considering heβs an alien, heβs more human than the best human you can imagine. So full of compassion, his heart could burst, and his headβs jam-packed with science and art and historyβ¦ He should also be sexy. Not necessarily young, but letβs move on from that neutered, posh, public-school, fancy-dress-frock-coat image. Heβs immediate and tactile. Stand too close to him, you could get burnt. The Doctor is lacking one thing. Family. Heβs a loner. Sometimes, this distance gives him a vital edge β when the worldβs in danger, he doesnβt waste time saving the bloody cat β but sometimes, when he looks at humans, and their mums and dads and lovers and mates, itβs like he knows nothing. And this is why he needsβ¦
ROSE TYLER
Sheβs 18. Left school at 16, works in a shop, goes out with a lad called Mobbsy, and lives with her mum, Judy. Roseβs father died when she was a baby (and more of that laterβ¦) so Judyβs like more of a mate β not at all mumsy, sheβs only 40, and slim, and often too busy chasing another hopeless fella to pay Rose enough attention. Rose is idling. Life is dull. And sheβs so much better than this β sheβs always planning to go back to school, sit those A-Levels, become a paramedic, a cartoonist, a plumber, anythingβ¦ Ordinary dreams, just going to waste. But sheβs always been feisty and funny, and sheβs going to need that sense of humour to survive, as soon as she meets the Doctor.
THE DOCTOR AND ROSE
She loves him, and he loves her. Simple as that. Not a kissy-kissy kind of love, this is deeper. From the moment they meet, the Doctor and Rose are soulmates. They need each other and complete each other β heβs got a mind full of time and space, sheβs entirely down to earth. A perfect match. As they travel together, the Doctorβs going to show her things beyond her imagination. And weβre going to see her grow. Sheβll start out as Innocent, then become an Adventurer, until, by the end of the seriesβ¦ she can never go home again. And her friendship pushes the Doctor into unexplored territory. How alien is he? How much does he care? If this man refuses to go back and save the catβ¦ wil

(Iβd also like to emphasize the difference between me liking it and me viewing it as good. Me saying that itβs one of my favorites is not me saying that itβs one of the best in my opinion.) The fanbase seem to be divided on this episode, the two views being βits great that its realistic and dark and that it has to do with themes rarely dealt with in western animationβ or βits not great just because its dark and thereβs a lot that doesnβt make senseβ. Both are valid views, but a lot seem to go unnoticed. I have some thoughts about the episode never before put into words, which Iβm going to do now.
Iβll start by talking about the 4 principal characters.
Ben: I suppose he represents an uneducated outsiderβs perspective. He sees Jennifer Nocturne in the way she is portrayed, like many others(e.g. prison guards), and despite numerous experiences that contradict his preconception of her character, he does not seriously consider the meaning of said experiences. He is mainly inert in the sense that he doesnβt change much over the course of this episode, and rises to face the vague but very real threat represented by the 2 antagonists. Before this, he is mostly focused on the simplistic notion of βrescuingβ Nocturne, viewing her as an archetypal βDamsel in Distressβ.
Gwen: Perhaps a more thoughtful perspective on Nocturne, which may have evolved from her initial hypothesis that Nocturne is an accomplice. She approaches the principal conflict of the story without much emotional investment, impersonally and at a distance(indeed, this is a good attitude to have when this is her business), seeking to understand the true nature of her involvement with Carl Nesmithβs escape and hoping to aid in the recapture of Nesmith in doing so. In the episode, she primarily acts as Benβs aide and advisor. Though her magical abilities offers her insight into the character of Nocturne, she is not Nocturne herself.
Nesmith: His intentions are not discussed much beyond a vengeful hate for Ben, as well as wanting to go off the grid after taking his revenge. The attempt at killing Ben seems to be motivated by both of these intentions: he wants to take revenge as well as ensure that, from his view, the only person who would pursue him
I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.
This is the second part of what should be a 3-part post of a timeline between what Erika was saying and doing onscreen, vs what was happening offscreen.
Part 3 is available here, and will cover the period of filming for the current season, up to the most recent episode.
Like many others, I have been struggling to make sense of what Erika's been claiming onscreen, on social media, and in interviews, vs what's actually been happening offscreen, and evidence that has been produced, mostly in the form of documents that contradict some of her claims.
In this timeline, I'm focusing on everything that happened prior to filming for S11, which started in late Oct 2020.
I am trying to focus on Erika's lifestyle claims, as well as ONLY the cases that made the news, and what she was doing while those cases were playing out in the media. I'm also trying to include some of the larger loans that ended up being lawsuits later on, so you can see when he got money and how it lined up with the show and with his other big noisy cases.
I'm also trying to give context by including other housewives' lawsuits and spouses' lawsuits since Erika joined the cast.

The term 'Phantom Social Worker' (PSW) or 'Bogus Social Worker' (BSW) refers to reports of unknown individuals pretending to be social workers to gain entry into homes with small children. While unnerving these visits rarely include an actual attempt at kidnapping or molestation, with the individual's motives being unknown. The phenomena has been recorded in isolated cases throughout history, but intensified in the early 90s in the UK, with mass media coverage alleging an "epidemic" of cases. This led to a humiliating debacle for Yorkshire police, whose overfunded 'Operation Childcare' failed to find any evidence of the PSW and was forced to admit that most cases were attributable to a social panic. Only a handful of reports out of over two hundred Operation Childcare investigated were ultimately deemed genuine. After this embarrassment the phenomena faded from public recognition into the footnotes of folkloristics, another example of straightforward "mass hysteria", like the then-contemporary Satanic Ritual Abuse (SRA) panic rumor. Reports never dried up entirely though.
Who or what are the PSWβs? Was it baseless hysteria or was there some substance to the rumor? In this post I will provide a history of major cases and events in the PSW panic then move on to a rundown of different interpretations, concluding with my personal position that there was a more significant basis to the βpanicβ than generally accepted.
1990.
In winter of 1990 Elizabeth Coupland heard a knock at the door of her council flat in Sheffield, South Yorkshire. She opened it to a pair of proper-looking young women in crisp business attire. They spoke with authority when they said they were from the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC) and asked to come in for a routine examination of her two children, to which she agreed. After the two strangers left, Coupland thought nothing more of what had seemed like a normal encounter with welfare services. However two days later she was greeted at her doorstep by one of the women, this time with a male colleague, and told Coupland that her children were to be seized and taken into foster care due to their risk assessment. Taken aback Coupland resisted, though the strangers were unflinching in their authority. It was only when Coupland said that she would call Police that the "social workers" left. Coupland phoned the Police who contacted the NSPCC. The NSPCC denied ha

Those Nazi Germans are carrying a sign that says \"Death to Marxism\"
No, the Nazis were not socialists. Thatβs just another propaganda lie to make them seem different from Americaβs industrialist capitalists.
The Nazis were right-wing industrialist capitalists with giant privately owned corporations like Bayer, Volkswagen, Porsche, ThyssenKrupp etc. Many of those giant corporations still exist today.
Sure, during the war, German corporations were forced to produce war machines. But that wasnβt socialism. That wasnβt the government controlling the means of production, as right-wing Americans like to pretend.
It was simply the German version of what America calls the Defense Production Act. When the survival of the country is at stake, the government can tell private companies to aid the war effort.
The Nazis were every bit as capitalist as the capitalists in Great Britain and America.
