I know it gets some hate but I actually really enjoyed it. It was a nice change of pace from the previous two books of the series. There was a lot of action and moving parts that were interesting to me in this story. I also liked the ending, even with the cliffhangers, because it got me really excited to start the final book.
Without spoilers does anyone like this book? I know a lot of people don’t like it or think it’s the worst book in the series. I’m almost done with Wolves of the Calla so I’m just curious.

I've read and loved most work by Susannah Clarke and Scarlett Thomas and am looking for recommendations along the same lines.

Mary (1) died and he married Mary (2). He died in 1719- with his will mentioning only Mary (2) and his daughter, Frances.

However, it is often alleged Susannah Gould is the daughter of Enoch and Mary (2).
