A list of puns related to "Sunblind"
Hi all,
In order to paint my new house I had to remove the blinds all around. Some of the old fixings gave me trouble as they corroded and could not take them off normally.
Could you advice what type of fixings I need to fit them back? They used to have 3 fixing points no matter the length. They all go through plaster into brick.
Also, because some where corroded, I am worried the damp built up up there and damage them. Shall i go for galvanic fixings or another coating to avoid this?
Ty.
All I need to hear is the very first sentence "For Richard Swift" And I feel those words hit my heart and shake my core, almost bringing tears to my eyes every time.
Beginner guitar player here, i heard the acoustic version of Sunblind from Shore and wanted to learn how to play it.
More specifically i want instructions that include the strumming patterns, there are sites out there with the cords used but I'm not good enough to watch Robin's strumming in the live video and copy it. I know that robin has done Instagram live videos doing lessons but there haven't seen any for Sunblind specifically.
Additionally I couldn't find any detailed lessons on this sub either
the song sunblind from fleet foxes' latest album fills me with an almost transcendental joy whenever i listen to it. it's a very brilliant and very unique feeling. however, i do not want it's effect to wear off after playing it on repeat so if you know any songs that inspire a similar emotion within you i would love to listen to your recommendations!
This is the second track from Fleet Foxesβ fourth album, Shore. How do you feel about this song? What are some of your favorite lyrics? How would you rank it among the rest of the bandβs discography? How would you rate it out of 10 (decimals allowed)?
SUGGESTED SCALE:
1-4: Not good. Regularly skip.
5: Itβs okay, but I might have to be in the right mood to listen to it.
6: Slightly better than average. I wonβt skip it, but I wouldnβt choose to put it on.
7: This is a good song. I enjoy it quite a bit.
8-9: Really enjoyable songs. I rank them pretty high overall.
10: Masterpiece, magnum opus, or similar terminology.

I always said I didnβt like anything enough to get it tattooed on my body and then Shore happened so here we are https://i.imgur.com/RDRQtSd.jpg
I don't even know how to describe it because my question is what it's called. I've seen this happen in a lot of other songs by other bands too.
Basically in "Sunblind" he goes from singing "on" the beat, like at :08, to singing off the beat for the second verse...like when it shifts at 1:25 and he starts singing "off" beat at 1:30.
Is there a term for this or is it just literally them shifting from on to off the beat?
I must admit a number of them go over my head but Iβd love to be able to investigate some of the music that has passed me by.
So Iβve noticed that Sunblind ends abruptly on a Bm chord on grand piano and Robin plays it like itβs about to go into The Great Gig in the Sky by Pink Floyd. It was similar enough that I noticed it from the first time. But only recently did I think about how, of course, Great Gig is about death, and Sunblind is a nod to Robinβs musical heroes who have died. I wouldnβt be surprised if this was an intentional touch!!

I tried to pick songs from the artists he mentioned that felt like they inspire Robin and this album (Shore). Feels like a glimpse into Robin's music taste and influences!
