Iβm getting a tattoo that says βIl dolore svanirΓ β. I believe it means βThe pain will fadeβ. Or at least βpain will fade/ pain fadesβ. I know Il dolore= pain and svanirΓ = disappear/fade. No way in hell itβs staying at this level with the Whiteknight2 maintenanceβ¦ which will be 8-12 months (so commercial operations are now leaning towards 2023 now). The negatives risks far outweigh the positives at this point. Ticket sales numbers mean nothing if they canβt actually execute on those sales. So EVERYTHING is riding on the Delta Class, because if they donβt deliver it fast Blue Origin and Space X will beat them to it.

Hi there, years ago I read a wonderful anthology but the only story I quite definitely remember is a short story about a (probably English) gentleman on holidays perhaps in the French or Italian Riviera. He meets a young boy who I think is with an older, matronly woman. They eat lunch together every day and eat lots and lots of langoustines (some type of crustacean/small lobster?) It was along the lines of W Somerset Maugham but I can't find this story in any of his books. Can anyone help? Thank you very much! EDIT - Think it was set in 1920's and perhaps written in 1950's?
I read (or was read) this story in eighth grade English class and havenβt been able to find it since!
The story, from what I can remember, is about a wealthy landowner somewhere in Italy who leaves to go off to do some sort of business when a thief tries to break into his house. Again, my memory of the story is hazy, but I believe the son helps the thief or gives him money or something to that extent. The father eventually comes home and finds out about the debacle and takes his son out to a grotto or something of the sort, makes him say the Our Father, and then shoots him.
The story was originally published in Italian I think. Older story, probably early 20th century.
