Shahao's Sha-kedown
Set in the Timeless Isle, fight alongside each class team to unravel the mysteries of the island and the Sha! Shaohao's Sha-kedown introduces all seven Sha and the four August Celestials to Hearthstone, and also features numerous original character legendaries. Similar to Sidequests, Awaken is our keyword of choice, except it can be completed by you and your opponent, with the reward only being for you. Of course, leave any feedback and/or questions in the comments below!
Separate albums for each class:
I'd love it if Blizzard released an animated short series for Legion like the ones that they had during Mists and before Warlords. Having the story of Gul'dan's pact with the Legion and how he found Illidan's location, plus the Tomb of Sargeras opening up and the effects on the Broken Isles, it would be awesome to have a more fleshed-out story context to what we'll be doing in Legion.

Iβve always enjoyed the Pandaria lore and monk has been my favorite class since I first started playing in MoP. I donβt have any personal connection to the lore/culture, but Iβve liked how it was always different from the rest of wow.
One of the most intriguing characters that I canβt seem to find much about is Emperor Shaohao. I know that he was the one who hid Pandaria in the mists and prevented the sun seeing from affecting them, but I donβt know much else.
Is there any other sources of lore on him? How powerful would he be considered compared to some other more known characters in Azeroth, such as Malfurion, Thrall, Azshara, etc..
For those who haven't seen the 6-part MoP video story, please do! It is an amazing example of Blizzard's great storytelling and the meaning and visuals behind it are very good aswell. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-D--GWwca0g&index=1&list=PLY0KbDiiFYeNKrf7yg1O5KsHff-NdimhR Having started playing in 5.4, after some experimenting, I decided on a Pandaren Monk, Mistweaver to be exact. I feel like I should have seen this video series a long time ago. It has everything I fell in love with in MoP and WoW but can now appreciate more as I've learned the lore surrounding the Warcraft universe more. I never really did understand the dislike towards Pandaren because they have a very profound and meaningful storyline and motivations, even though some of their animations are pretty cartoony, wow in general can be quite cartoony.
Also seems like Shaohao might play a part in Legion, especially to Monks, which I'm really looking forward to now!
So yeah, tl;dr I just wanted to share this amazing video series from MoP era that I wish I had seen sooner.
In the animated miniseries The Burdens of Shaohao , the last part of it depicted Pandaria during the day of the Sundering. Through the process and journey of purging of the Sha, Shaohao had received clarity and wisdom from the August Celestials, which he attempted to convey to his people. But due to the Sundering occurring, Shaohao sacrificed himself to become the "heart" of Pandaria, which allowed Pandaria to sway from the waves of the Sundering, unharmed.
In the meantime, Queen Azshara in her Warbringers-cinematic tried to upheld the tsunami-waves of the oceans, (which another user handily hypothesized the amount of power required to stand against such forces) with what I presume is with her arcane forces, but which she ultimately failed.
My leading question is therefore: Where did Shaohao's power come from that allowed him to succeed in saving his people, where Azshara failed at?
I can hypothesize that the process of purging the Sha allowed Shaohao to further develop his Chi (if we know view "chi" as the "inner spirit"-type of magic.), but in terms of power scale, Shaohao seemed to be as an ordinary Pandaren as any, whereas Queen Azshara was one of Azeroth's greatest Arcane-users, high in power even among her people. So in terms of raw magical power, that doesn't seem to be fully applied to Shaohao's method of saving Pandaria.
Was it perhaps due to the combined effort of the August Celestials that provided Shaohao with the power to bind himself to Pandaria, whereas Azshara more or less just tried to do a solo-job of the whole situation? Or (if we are allowed to be far-fetched), was the Sha of Pride involved, where Shaohao's own hold of the vice allowed the Sha of Pride to save the continent of Pandaria in an attempt of the Sha of Pride to self-preserve himself (similiar to how N'Zoth required Azshara for his own benefit.)?
It essentially boils down to what factors where involved that allowed Shaohao to keep Pandaria relatively intact from the Sundering (the Animated mini-series describe Pandaria as "floating on the waters like a petal" (paraphrase).), and what prevented Azshara to not apply a similiar method beyond trying to create some kind of arcane barrier to physically save her kingdom from the waters. Was it really just arrogance on Azshara's part, where she thought she alone could save her kingdom, whereas Shaohao was humble enough

I have quite a few and want to get that rep to exalted. Is there a way to turn coins into rep? I know for the rep you just have to kill stuff mostly
The Burdens of Shaohao - Part 5 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4kgoMIMTIvI
As I was watching the last part, when Lorewalker Cho says "This is Pandaria" it came to my mind all the memories from the last monts. From my try to run to 90 on release day, to discovering Kun Lai Summit (my favorite zone in pandaland), to raiding MSV and HoF (I couldn't raid further because I became a father), and recently, leveling my warlock to try get Green fire, twinking my warrior for fast leveling, the tillers, the archeology rewards, PvP with a friend and the change with resilience, world bosses, Oondasta! OMG it's just too much! It's so rich, so high quality! Mist of Pandaria is the best expansion EVER.
I fucking love Pandaria, I think it's gonna be difficult for me to get over it. Do you guys remember when people talks about Diablo II and how you could lose in the game for hours, and the same for other games (EQ perhaps?), WoW is making history now, in future years people will talk about how this game was so big and rich, how there were always something you could enjoy, it's now and will be for a long time the point of reference for every single MMO, and it's going to be very hard to beat it. Guys enjoy it, we have it now, we have a very high quality game right in our hands at this very moment.
Just had to say it, and, why not, what was/is/has been your favorite feature in this expansion?
The narrative intent for this WoW expac had a more philosophical theme. As we leveled through the mysterious continent of Pandaria, we were supposed to answer "What is worth fighting for?" (besides epics and mounts). I would say that after the Siege of Orgrimmar, the answer to that question wasn't quiet clear.
In a storytelling standpoint, refocusing to the Horde-Alliance conflict then porting it to Pandaria's shores has merit. But IMO, Garrosh Hellscream was not the best main antagonist (big baddie) for Mists of Pandaria. It's not that the skull-bashing warchief was poorly written. But he seem to take away the focus of the story from Pandaria.
Some may remember the Seven Burdens of Shaohao, the last and only Pandaren emperor. To cut the story short, he journeyed across Pandaria, fought his seven burdens (they would become the Sha) and buried them into the land. Then the emperor prevented Pandaria's destruction by shrouding the land in mists. In the process, Shaohao melded with the land (or died). But by defeating his burdens, he actually held on to one last burden: the Sha of Pride!
TL;DR - Instead of MoP ending with Garrosh's deposement, the story should have culminated to Shaohao's story arc. This then turns him into the final boss of MoP (Yshaarj heart and all). This then explains why Pandaria was covered in mists and was isolated from the world: PRIDE.
Hey all, I posted in this /r/wow but was downvoted. Hhorde player here. I never played during MoP, but I want to try and get the armored wyverns if possible. I looked on wowhead, and all of the comments/guides were from when it was relevant.
I know it's pvp related, and some of the quests, iirc, require you to kill alliance players. My question is this, how practical is it to get exalted with this rep (if it is even still possible) and to get all the rewards for completing the campaign.
I know that I can use TW badges during MoP TW event to get reputation, but this would be pointless if i cannot actually complete the campaign as well to unlock one of the mounts.
Also, it seems that you can use TW badges to get max reputation with Emperor Shaohao from Timeless Isle as well. Since the mount I would want from him costs 100,000 coins, is it even worth it to use TW badges to get reputation from this, or will I get more than enough reputation passively when I collect the coins.
Thanks all
For those who didn't know, the Sha of Pride was the only one of the Sha that the Pandaren Emperor could not conquer, and it was his pride that made him shroud Pandaria in the dense mists, and it was the only one he did not bury within the land. The Sha of Pride is also considered the strongest and most insidious of the Sha.
Doubt, Despair, Fear, Anger. He conquered them all, but what if he had time to conquer pride too? Would the fate of Pandaria have been much different?
I really think they outdid themselves this time. I know this might not be a terrible exciting post, I just felt I had to share. My previous favourite cinematic were Wrathgate and Zul'Aman and I think these two series have them beat finally. That is all, I know this is isn't news or anything but I figure a bit of positivity can't hurt either. If you haven't watched these, do it now, they're amazing!
Okay so this is a bit of a weird one. I have absolutely no illusions that this could ever happen. It's too outlandish, uses up too much design space, is near impossible to balance, and involves offhealing, which isn't something Blizzard seems to be into. But I thought it was a really cool idea. Constructive feedback is always welcome.
I came up with the idea and just attached Shaohao to it after the fact because I don't think there's anyone else in Warcraft who could even come close to embodying it.
Emperor Shaohao (Mistweaver Monk Hero Concept)
Before battle, Shaohao calls upon the power of one of the four August Celestials, incorporating their powers and styles into his Mistweaving arsenal. Xuen, the White Tiger who grants him the swiftness and strength required to dash into the frontlines. Yu'lon, the Jade Serpent whose fires allow him to ward off enemies from range. Niuzao, the Black Ox whose sturdy fearlessness allows him to protect his allies. And Chi-Ji, the Red Crane whose healing is paramount.
Basic Attacks: Melee range, average attackspeed
Trait - Blessing of the Celestials: Shaohao's Trait, Q, 1, and Ults are decided by his level 1 talent tier.
Q: Has two charges.
W - Renewing Mist: Grants an ally a HoT for 20s. 5s CD
E - Roll: Rolls in target direction.
**Blessing of Hope (Chi Ji) (Toggle): ** Activate to sing a Blazing Song, dealing damage to nearby enemies and healing nearby allies. Drains mana during use.
Q - Spinning Crane Kick: Does a quick spin that deals damage to enemies and heals the lowest hp% ally hero for a % of damage dealt. If done while under the effects of Blazing Song, it spawns a Firestorm that travels in the direction Shaohao is moving (or facing if still), dealing damage over time to enemies inside it. Damage dealt by firestorm also heals. 2 Charges. (Healing radius is meant to only be a bit more than melee radius around Shaohao)
W: During Blazing Song, Renewing Mist is replaced with Inspiring Song: Applies a HoT with a 5s Duration and 1s CD and an increasing mana cost (Resets after 20s). Stacks with Renewing Mist.
E becomes Mistwalk: Teleport to a nearby ally, healing yourself and the target. During Blazing Song, it additionally does a burst of damage centered at the target ally.
1 - Chi Burn: Piercing Skillshot that damages enemies and reduces healing received by 15%. Cooldown is reduced when used during Blazing Song.
**R1 - Invoke Chi Ji - Beacon of

As a deaf player, this is exactly the kind of random act of kindness that makes me love the community! I also shared this in the patch trailer thread, but decided it deserved its own post so that hopefully other deaf (or otherwise soundless) players can enjoy this great bit of lore.
P.S. Blizzard, please make your videos accessible. You subtitle (some of) your cutscenes, but you could also use YouTube subtitles for the content you release on there. At least consider it!

Ten thousand years ago, all the continents of Azeroth were as one. It is said that all the rivers in the world flowed to one magical place: This was the ancient empire of Pandaria, nestled in the most fertile of river valleys at the far end of the world.
Behold, the last Emperor on the day of his coronation. His name was Shaohao.
Young Shaohao was born to be Emperor, and wanted for nothing. The wealth of the great Pandaren empire was his to command. All Pandaren Emperors begin their reign by consulting with the great Jinyu elders. It was said that the Jinyu could talk to the rivers, that they could hear whispers of the future in the rippling waves. The great Waterspeaker closed his eyes and listened to the rivers. He listened for the Emperor's long life and prosperous realm, but he heard something else entirely. The wise old Jinyu saw a faraway land, a kingdom of Elves grown bold in their arrogance. He saw a pit of fire, a great maw opening upon countless horrors. Numberless demons were about to pour forth onto Azeroth, rending the land, corrupting all they touched. Even if the demons were defeated, the world would be forever broken, the continents forever shattered.
Emperor Shaohao watched in disbelief as the Jinyu Waterspeaker reeled from the terror of his vision. "What did you see?", Shaohao asked. "Long life... prosperous realm?"
But the future held neither for the last Emperor of the Pandaren. No, young Shaohao could not rest on the riches of his Empire. If he was to save his land, and his people, he would be called to do something great. He would embark on an epic journey, he would sacrifice all that he was.
This is his story.

Hey all,
As of the latest patch, what would you say is the fastest way to grind Timeless Coins? So far, ive been killing the frogs which seems to be working ok, but if prefer a faster method.
Also, for someone like myself without the legendary cloak, what is the best way to grind Shaohao rep?
