A list of puns related to "Sentinelese"
Why hasn't Buddhism or Islam ever reached there like the Maldives? Also how come they look so different(black) from the peoples of surrounding countries ie. Thailand and India?
The Sentinelese are a are an indigenous people who inhabit North Sentinel Island. The population is estimated to be around 50-400, equipped with primitive bows and spears. Who is the weakest fictional character who could solo the island if they were dropped in?
Round 1: The Sentinelese donβt who the character is and donβt know theyβre there until/if they get detected.
Round 2: The Sentinelese know the character has landed somewhere on the island and are actively hunting/searching for the character and setting up defense measures. They dont know the characterβs abilities/strength.
Round 3: The Sentinelese know the character has landed somewhere on the island and are actively hunting/searching for the character and setting up defense measures. They now know the characterβs abilities/strengths and will try to play to its weaknesses.
Bonus: Which historical fighter could solo the Sentinelese? A knight, samurai, WW1 soldier, etc. Assume all historical figures only have what they would carry on their person to a battle.
I randomly started wondering about what happened (or what could have possibly happened) to the Sentinelese people in Halo since they could only be isolated for so long and what wouldve been running through their heads looking up at the multitude of ships from the UNSC fleet
Okay, leaving aside the illegality and immorality of landing on North Sentinel island and making contact with the islanders, IF you were to do it then why not wear a sealed suit of armour or a really tough stab-proof spacesuit? That way, they can't kill you with spears or arrows, and you won't infect them.
All advanced civilizations leave the earth in a mass exodus. The only people left are the tribes of North Sentinel Island. How can they repopulate the rest of the world?
Context: Yesterday I saw a post about the number of earths we would need if we lived like other countries.
The Sentinelese of the North Sentinel Island are widely known as one of the most hostile island tribes in the extant world. Isolated on a single island in an archipelago in the Indian Ocean, they are infamous for attacking almost any foreign invader that dares step foot on their territory, violently rejecting absolutely all outsider attempts at diplomacy and negotiation with often fatal resolutions (they almost accepted a deranged Christian emissary as they found him amusing, until they got sick of him and killed him too). They are barely above Stone Age level in terms of social and technological development, still relying on spears and bows for hunting and fishing. Their estimated population is anywhere between 40 to 400 individuals.
The Sentinels are giant mutant-exterminating robots originally designed by Dr. Bolivar Trask. They are among the more persistent enemies of the X-Men, being behind many an apocalyptic future timeline as well as responsible for the total eradication of the mutant nation of Genosha. Like their mutant adversaries, the Sentinels have evolved and adapted over the decades as they have steadily grown more humanoid, streamlined and deadly efficient. Most Sentinels possess offensive beam weaponry, explosives, flight and the abilities to detect and supress the genes of mutants.
R1 - A single Mk I Sentinel model, the first ones that appeared in X-Men #14, attacks North Sentinel Island. They're significantly smaller and weaker than later models, and look pretty stupid honestly.
R2 - A Mk II Sentinel, circa X-Men #57.
R3 - A COTA-94 Sentinel from the Marvel vs. Capcom series. These guys are smaller than most comic Sentinels but have a larger arsenal of weaponry.
How the hell can the primitive but resourceful Sentinelese defeat the gauntlet of Sentinels?
Like the people that are protected on North Sentinel island from us going there. They attack and try to kill and eat anyone who comes ashore. What if earth is that island to the rest of life out there? Other beings are like "Just leave em alone Gork. They're obviously not ready. Look at those idiots setting fires and pushing things with it!! They're so silly and backwards!" Yet some people do venture to North Sentinel island once in a while be it because they got lost, or think they can interact with them safely. And the people who were "abducted" are telling the truth?
The battle takes place on the shores of North Sentinel island and the North Sentinelese are bloodlusted
