A list of puns related to "Scout Patrol"
Wasn't sure whether or not this story fits in this category, but here goes.
My last story from Boy Scouts reminded me of this. Not involving the same kid from the last one, but rather his friend. He was also problem kid in our troop. Not at the same level, but he had issues with authority much of the time, which often lead to him getting into trouble. Imagine the worst qualities you might find in a 14 year old boy, and turning them up. Things would often be worse if they were together.
On to the story.
A kid in our troop had made it to Eagle Scout. For those who don't know, Eagle is the highest rank in Boy Scouts. Very few actually make it that far as it requires a lot of time, dedication, and hard work, so when someone makes it, it's a very big deal. It results in a ceremony called an Eagle Court of Honor. The week before the ceremony the Boy Scout meeting is spent rehearsing.
During the rehearsal, Problem Scout wouldn't stop acting up, and disrupting everything. The Senior Patrol Leader, who is voted by the other Scouts into the position, is supposed to keep the meeting in order. I should note, the SPL, along with me, were among the handful of black kids in the troop.
SPL kept telling PS to sit down and keep quiet, but PS wouldn't have it. As the rehearsal kept going PS started talking back whenever SPL got on him. Finally PS had enough and tripped him. So SPL tripped him back in retaliation.
Should he have tripped him back? No. Was it petty? Probably. Was how PS reacted after this warranted? Definitely not.
The next thing we knew, PS was outside yelling obscenities at SPL, calling him the "N" word, and challenging him to a fight. SPL accepted.
Said fight ended up lasting a whopping total of 15 seconds. SPL grabbed PS and threw him to the ground and kicking him until PS began crying. SPL then walked away as PS was on the ground shouting slurs and threatening to sue him. PS wasn't bloody or bruised in anyway, except for maybe his ego. The adult leaders had just gotten outside right as the fight ended. A few just looked away and muttered, "He deserved it!" The way he kept using the "N" word, I was ready to go after him myself, but I was stopped by one of the adults who went to go and try to talk him down instead. That went over poorly as PS now was threatening to sue him too.
The most anyone could do was to just let him sit there and keep shouting. The rehearsal had already ended by this point so his dad would be in to pick him up soon. That in

I commissioned LadyKraken (www.deviantart.com/ladykraken) to design for me a set of three vexillum to represent the different sixes (patrols) in my Cub Scout pack. The children were asked to choose their own names for the patrols (which had previously just been colours - Bumblebees were formerly just Yellow)
This is the first one of three to be complete - the Bumblebee patrol vexillum. Planned actual size - 16ins wide, 28ins tall; flag pole 66ins tall. Should be comfortable for a 10yo child to lift and carry.
Does it make you feel inferior, and do you think it's an issue we need to tackle?
Anyone else can feel free to answer this too with your opinion and experience, I just wanted to get a specific perspective of what girls were going through in this, as an SPL working on some troop restructuring.
Now that killing enemy packs no longer increases Alert Level, Nenet's second ability is just map noise. The one thing that makes Perception missions different are those annoying Observer Totems, that can be dotted all over the place and increase Alert Level very quickly. Nenet's ability should be changed to scout these totems instead since they are what make her mission type "unique (annoying)".
As their were apparently hundreds of possibilities for the forsaken equivalent of these patrols, I figured itβs worth noting down. Toland said that the hidden swarm have become scattered and aimless after we killed all of their leadership, and have actually turned away from the sword logic in their worship of the pyramid. What I think we can take from this is that they are a branch off of the hive, and the rest of the hive arenβt really following the pyramids, at least not yet.
