My new bike arrived a few weeks back and then the weather turned decidedly British. Well today was the first day where I had time and the conditions.

I have been riding a ebike MTB mostly on trails since I broke my elbow in November 2020. A small lorry passed to close and i manoeuvred to the left and hit the pavement and went flying over the handle bars. Ever since I avoided the roads but I have been riding on quiet streets and bikes paths, trails canal routes etc
Thing is I live in a major city and you can’t really get anywhere avoiding main roads. I can’t drive either in order to transport my bike. I think not being able to drive a car impacts my road confidence.
Does anyone have any advice? I love riding bikes and I was brought up in a rural area. Just need to get used to the city
Hi all, so as the title says. Went out for a longer ride today as the weather allowed (20km}. The seatpost had slipped a good inch by the time I got back. Anyone else with an Endurance SL or other Ribble bike w/ carbon seatpost experience this happening to them?
The seatpost clamp is the wedge style one. I've tightened up to the maximum 8nm with a torque wrench as per manufacturers instructions. The seatpost is also speced to hold a maximum rider weight of 130kg and I'm well under that.
Just bought some carbon assembly paste so hopefully that will do the trick, well, I really hope it does because other than that I wouldn't know what else to try and it'd be getting sent straight back to Ribble. Really hope it doesn't come to that though!

I'm fairly new to ebikes, and after spending quite a bit of time researching for my first commuting (and road riding for fun) ebike, I'm unsure whether to choose the Canyon Roadlite ON 7.0 or the Ribble Hybrid AL E.
Can anyone help me choose between those two ?

I completely understand Covid has made sourcing of parts an absolute nightmare for manufactures along with transport logistics. I mean I'm currently using an old as boots clunker of a bike to get me by in the meantime but sweet Jesus this is madness at this stage.
I thinking about getting a refund at this stage and looking elsewhere. Shame as well because the bike they have looks really nice too! (Endurance SL disc)
