Before you murder me with downvotes and comments, at least hear me out first. It’s a pretty universally agreed upon fact that Halo 5’s story is considered the worst of all the campaigns. People complained about the req packs which promoted microtransactions to speed up the process of earning the new armors.
Saying that, did anyone here play Destiny? Did you follow Bungie as they promised a huge new universe with lore, artwork, and vidoc type videos talkin about Destiny? And when Destiny launched, did you play through the story? How did you react when the stranger told you she didn’t have time to explain why she didn’t have time to explain?
Destiny was a mess of a game pushed out by Bungie with a story more confusing than Halo 5’s story. There was nothing to do when it launched, the story doesn’t make sense, and the raid was so broken that you could push the final boss off a ledge and win. Content that was originally meant to be part of the campaign was cut out and sold as DLC that everyone agreed lacked content. It was only when the Taken King came out (which was another $40 on top of the $100 you already spent for the game and then 2 following DLCs) that people started to praise the game. And following the train wreck that was Destiny, Destiny 2 introduced shaders that you could only use once and were mostly bound to microtransactions.
So comparing the 2 studios, 343i and Bungie (Post-Halo Reach) start to look very similar.
Did both release games that were unfinished and took months after the fact to get to a point where they should have been on day 1? Yes.
Did both make games with stories that were criticized by the majority of the fan base? Yes, And Bungie charged you for updates to the story in the form of DLC that should have been in the game already.
Have both opted to use microtransactions to let you customize your characters colors and appearance?
Comparing the two studios, have they really done much different from one another? Can you really say that Bungie’s track record isn’t as bad or worse at this point? I’d love to hear everyone’s thoughts.
EDIT: I’m aware the current Bungie isn’t the same one that made all the Halo games. If these issues we have with this game seem to happen with almost every big that is coming out, our issues should be more with the industry at large than the developers that are trying to make both the fans and executives happy.
I've been trying to get through this one for the past month before posting it, but RL concerns have made a mockery of my attempts. It seems good from what I've read so far.

I'm designing a preamp board that fits directly beneath a humbucknig pickup. I'm wondering if I could save space if I omitted the input bypass cap, by connecting the coils directly. That would mean that the amplifier input bias current (<5nA) would pass through the pickup.
Any thoughts whether that would demagnetize it over time?
I know I know, what game doesn’t have its level of toxicity? And people are really shitty online because why not?
But Wiz is really baffling.
There are a bunch of things to do in Wiz and for the most part you really don’t need to play with others (even though it can be the fun of it), you don’t have to PvP, or turn off the chat option.. but man lmao. You really can’t avoid someone going out of their way to make themselves feel better than you and for legit no reason at all. It’s incredibly funny, and will admit a bit annoying and deflating at times. I guess this is a vent, but I don’t see why the community doesn’t discuss on this. The ones who’ve been playing since 2009 and fell in love with all the aspects of the game, being in cliques with a small select of wizards or making idle chit chat in the commons. Like okay okaaay, a lot of the people then have grown up and the demographic of ages varies but doesn’t anyone miss the simplicity of logging on to say hey to your friends, PvP for fun, bragging peacefully about how much crowns your parents reluctantly allowed you to buy, the weird children talking about how they were “looking for a girl/boy” and “sad face, cries” for attention, I mean that garbage was dumb but there was fun in witnessing it.
I guess the moral of my story here is, cmon don’t be an ass— if those people go out of their way to taunt you then come back with it, but if they’re playing the game to enjoy everything about its troublesome ways and it’s great aspects leave them be homie, anyone agree?
- So, Snow . . . first he's released as a buy first hero, after the pass expires a month you can get him through normal means. This isn't the point that disturbs me, it does suck that by the time I probably get him there will be plenty of lvl 10 snows running around, I don't feel like I'm part of the games current driving force in this regard.
- Fine, on to the next point, the price . . . It's increased because there's a new character attached to it . . . once again I can almost understand why this has happened but my third point is the deal breaker . . .
- He's at pass level 25. They up the price of the pass, but then put him in a spot where still if you want to play currently, you have to drop gems on upgrading your pass. This was done intentionally. Most games that offer passes, give you something big right of rip at level 1 . . . Why was he not given to us at level 1, so that we'd spend more gems, how many times must companies double dip to exploit us for content that's a main part of the game, and also that curbs the balance . . .
- In closing, what else could they do next to just destroy a game I love, I was a HUGE rumble fighter player, (bloodwind ninjitsu.) I loved that game dearly, and this game is like that and smash mixed together without all the NHAA. (No Hit At All, was a way players would grind currency in rumble fighter, everyone would get more money not fighting then one person getting around the same amount while others didn't get much for loosing.)

I ask this question in this subreddit and I know it's more technical but anyway, there are users who know a lot about music.
According to a book I have in a different language, it seems that it exists a phenomena where sounds remain "naturally recorded" in objects after sound source has been removed. I have termed this phenomena "acoustic remanence", after reading in the wikipedia about "magnetic remanence". Acoustic remanence would mean that sounds remains in solid matter in, apparently, specific patterns after the sound source has been removed/stopped.
Have you ever heard about this phenomena? It exists?
According to the author of the book, this phenomena can be analyzed using a conventional oscilloscope. I cannot ask to the author because he passed away some years ago.
I still remember my first Minecraft world back in 1.2.5. Those were the simpler days were I was still naive and enjoyed life for what it was. My first house was a two story building that had a water slide on the roof that lead to the ocean behind my house. Below, I stowed away a chest with a few diamonds beneath my bed which I told my grandma about, and had told her that it’s a secret between me and her.
I really miss those days when I was still a bean sprout.
