A list of puns related to "Real Ale"
Ginger ale is just a soda made with syrup whereas ginger beer should be brewed with real ginger. What does SC mean by use real ginger ale and can I sub beer for ale?
Hello,
Does anyone know why NI has an absolute dearth of ales on tap in every single pub across the country? CAMRA has been a thing in the UK for a long time but their campaign has never caught on over here.
To my knowledge the only spot with proper beer pump taps is the dirty duck in Holywood. Which is a lovely spot but pretty limiting. Sunflower and John Hewitt are supposed to have real ales but they are not from pump style taps.
I personally love a traditional ale, I find them much less gassy than a draught lager and usually you find much more interesting things on tap too. But I only ever see an ale selection in English pubs.
Is this the NI alcohol licensing laws coming back to bite us? Beanchorr doesn't want to stock them so no one in the country can stock them?
If possible - within 2hrs of Hull.

Anybody tried using kveik strains in a traditional British style? Iβve typically only used them in American styles but thinking Hornindal might work with a Mild? Am I stupid?
Update: I went for it and weβll see what happens! Fermenting a little blind on this one and hoping for the best - no temp control, underpitched and open fermented to push esters. Might not be a traditional mild but excited about using kveik for something other than a hoppy beer!
