A list of puns related to "Ratchet And Clank"
Whatβs your favorite of the first 4 games?
I currently have a i5-3330, 1050Ti, 12GB DDR3 799MHz RAM and using default settings on PCSX2 but the game slows down and drops frames.
Are my specs too weak?
I'm gonna be upgrading anyway to a Ryzen 5 5600x and 32GB DDR4 3200MHz RAM by the end of the week.
Finally managed to get the original trilogy of the original series for PS3 since it was on sale of 60% discount, I assume it's a "classic hd" but I am not 100% sure.
However, in this version the shopkeeper is flattened... a bug/glitch? I just saw random R&C on PS3 videos and the shopkeeper looks fine, just like in the original ps2 version. Please tell me, how do I fix it?
Since it's one of the earliest bug/incompatibility I found of the PS3 version of the game in comparison to ps2, are there more unpleasant bugs and glitches, or any other differences in comparison to original series?
In the UK, thinking of picking them up
I'm mainly talking about the original PS2 trilogy+Deadlocked but the games that came after these were pretty good too.
Now when people talk about the best video game franchises, the names that come up often are Mario, Zelda, Halo but never Ratchet and Clank and that's such a crime.
Ratchet and Clank 1 was incredibly revolutionary for the time. The writing was tight, gameplay is still amazing, weapons were insanely creative, the satirization of commercialism was brilliantly pulled together, the graphics and animation still holds up and the music slaps. Not to mention the level design is some of the best in gaming period. The only real problem is you can't strafe.
Ratchet and Clank 2 is, in my opinion the greatest game of all time. Everything that the 1st game did well the 2nd game did better. And they added strafing. Something cool that the 2nd game did was the fact your weapons would change into a better version after killing enough enemies which is something that is insanely creative. There's these gladiator arenas which are great, there's this hidden developer museum. 2 was just a perfect video game.
3 Wasn't as good as one or two, the level design wasn't as tight and the worlds aren't as detailed. (Music and Humor is at its best here though),
But
Ratchet and Clank 3 has multiplayer, and it's great! Seriously get some friends over, grab some drinks, and have the time of your life in an honest to god amazing multiplayer.
Deadlocked has a super cool concept. You're on a super violent reality game show and you have to fight for your freedom. Deadlocked like 3 is super linear, but the gunplay, humor, and challenges are so good, you forget about it. Also multiplayer is back and better than ever.
So that's 4 pretty much perfect video games....that people rarely talk about. Ratchet and Clank SHOULD be held in the same regard as Mario and Zelda. But it's not and that's a serious problem. Since all of these games are pretty cheap nowadays, and so is the console they're exclusive for so what are you waiting for? Get these games!
Has anyone played Ratchet and Clank Size Matters?
I love to talk about R&C's most controversial game! Deadlocked used to be the controversial one back when it was new, and now we got this one.
Music - 3/10 - Aw man, the original R&C had such a unique and catchy soundtrack and it sucks that it's been replaced by a generic orchestral score. The old one had a mix of electronic beats, blaring horns, catchy melody. It was like a digitized orchestra with flutes and trumpets being remixed in an edgy and catchy way. The new one still carries the "futuristic-ness" a bit but it's very boring comparatively. There were a few songs like Oltanis Orbit and Orxon that used to fill me with dread, because they were so well crafted and perfectly fit the serious tone of the end of the game, and now it's just more generic orchestra.
Level Design (art aspect) - 10+/10 - The levels look absolutely gorgeous and I'm not just talking about the level of detail put into the environment. Each level picks a color scheme and really commits to it with lighting and color choice that really brings out the mood of the world. Love what they did to Blackwater City. Areas of the original that felt empty and still now have lively character and really emphasize the world that the original set out to make. It seems like this is what the original would have looked like if they had the technology back then. It is a shame that they removed some levels, and merged others, but I'll circle back to that later in Adaptation.
Gameplay - 7/10 - The aiming and moving formula has changed a lot over the years flip flopping between being platformer focused, and shooter focused, and I think they finally reached a good control scheme that allows for both. Docking 3 points because the difficulty doesn't feel satisfying and the enemies are way too repetitive.
Story (characters) - 2/10 - This took the biggest hit in my opinion. Everyone's just a plastic fake Nick Jr. version of themselves from the original game. Gone is the Ratchet not wanting to be a hero and Clank trying to be his moral compass, and gone are any meaningful interactions between the two. We all felt a little emotional when Clank returned home and met his "mom" in the original, and the return to Quartu didn't feel as understated yet powerful. Drek turned from being a kind of scary and intimidating enemy to being just a weird goofy blobby guy. Quark's personality remains pretty consistent, but he was always more of the comic relief anyway. The galactic ranger crew is
... keep reading on reddit β‘Iβm itching for a new era of VR platformers with the same charm and length as the above games. They may have died out on pancake games, but I feel like they have a good chance to be reborn in VR.
I see people talk a lot about what they do and don't like from each game, and what they'd like to see (or get rid of) in the next one. But what if you were in charge of the game? What features, mechanics, weapons, storylines, etc. would you put in?
Personally I'd love to see them carry on from Into the Nexus' ending, because I thought where it was heading could be interesting. I'd also like to see the games return to being more difficult like the originals (I'm sure most of us agree 2016 was a bit too easy).
What about you? Ratchet and Clank 2020 is yours to cram whatever you desire into, no matter how unrealistic it may be; what do you put in?

https://insomniac.store/products?tag=Blind%20Bag
The preorders are up on the Insomniac Store for the Ratchet & Clank Blind Bag Vinyl Figures and there are some things that make me less excited about these then before. First is the pricing
$16 for 1
$39 for 3 pack
$125 for 9 pack
$384 for 24 pack
$1,900 for a complete set
They are a little more expensive then I was hoping. This is also the strangest price I have seen. 3 pack is $13 a figure, 9 pack is $13.80 a figure and 24 pack is $16 a figure. So at this point you will get the most for your money if you just buy a bunch of 3 packs.
However it is this second thing that is really turning me off. In the complete set description it says this:
Going off the picture in the store (the one I have at the top of the post) and that description there are 42 Regular figures, the ones I would actually want. Then 42 of those same Figures and in Black, White and Blue, the Insomniac figures. Then 42 of those same figures in gold. Originally I wasn't too concerned about the random chance element because I was like, I am a big enough R&C fan that I don't care what character I get. But if I am right I don't care about 2/3's of these figures.
This one place leave the most conundrum to me out of all places in game. At first I couldn't reach there, then once I got helipack I did reach there, only to find out that is nothing in there. Once I beat the game 100%: found all items, all skillpoints, purchase all golden weapons, unlock all cheats and whatnot, I was REALLY hoping that some kind of portal to Insomniac Museum would appear there like in Ratchet and Clank 3, only to get disappointment after reading that there is no Insomniac Museum in the original Ratchet and Clank game... :(
However, what is exact purpose of that room? Why it was designed that you only could reach there later in the game? Is there any particular point of that one room that I'm probably missing? Or it's just here, simply to be here, and be like no other room in the whole game?
So I got my ps4 pro bundle with RDR2 and I've beat the big 5 games. Started playing the playstation hits and I just wanted to say holy shit. Ratchet and Clank is fucking amazing. As someone who never had a playstation before the 4 this game is dope as fuck
For me, I would say Going Commando overall has the best soundtrack out of all the Ratchet games, but my favourite track has to go to Gemlik Base in Ratchet 1. The atmosphere, setting, solemn tone - has a check in all boxes for me. I'm curious to see what you guys think!
I was curious to see which gives you the best for your effort like R&C PS4 gives you cosmetic changes to the bolts and your character and your ship, god mode, infinite ammo, screen filters.
Just started playing and I can tell this is going to be great. I haven't played a Ratchet and Clank game since PS2. I was worried I was overhyping it in my head but god damn it already has that wondrous and classic R&C feel.
After checking out bloodborne for the first time and getting slapped around +10 times by Father G, the positive atmosphere and robot-bashing combat of R&C is a welcome change.
I recently got PSNow for my PS4 and I'm really enjoying playing ACiT for the first time (I'm very new to the fandom). However, I only got it for the RaC games, but it only has Quest for Booty and Into the Nexus (I don't have interest in playing FFA or A4O).
I used to have a PS3 with Tools of Destruction (which was actually my first game ever), but it was sold a long time ago, as my family didn't play games and I did not understand English yet.
I'd absolutely love to revisit ToD again, as well as play the og trilogy. Would it be worth it to save up for a PS3?
