What project delivery method (Design-build, design-assist) and market sectors (Pharma, Higher Ed, Government, etc). do you get cooperation from the design teams and good models? If you're willing to share and in the USA, what state is the job in?
I work for a large GC/CM in Massachusetts. My favorite project was a design-assist colocation higher education multipurpose lab building. It was the best job I've been a part of. The design and construction teams were contractually incentivized to work together. We were in the same room with the design team and trade contractors 2-3x/wk working hand-in-hand from Design Development onward. Everyone was in Revit. The design models weren't perfect, but they were a good starting point for coordination. Not too long after 100% Construction Documents came out we were fully coordinated. The job had minimal issues and RFIs.
All my other jobs the past few years have not run as well. They have been traditional design-bid-build, GMP, and lump sum in K-12, commercial, and sports market sectors. They have all had design documents littered with errors and omissions. If we get an MEP design model it looks ok as a diagram in plan but in 3D everything is disconnected and completely inaccurate.
The most common comment I get from the design team besides "for reference only" and "it's not our job to coordinate our consultants work" is "my contract doesn't require BIM, and neither do our consultants". I'm a registered architect. I understand the potential liability and contractual challenges. That said, I'm burning out from projects that pit designers against contractors and have poor documentation. No-one likes working significant OT because of poor documentation.
Are contracts, drawings, and models better in other market sectors, project delivery methods, or parts of the US?
I just recently learned a $300 lesson after writing, recording, and producing a song for a client. She seemed pretty straightforward and trustworthy at the time. It’s been about 6 weeks since I delivered the file via email, expecting to be paid within days.
I’ve since given up on it. But I’m just bummed. I feel like there has to be a way to protect songwriters/audio engineers from this kind of shady stuff, but I’m completely oblivious.
If anyone could help me out or point me to in the right direction, I’d greatly appreciate it. Either Google has failed me on this one, or I’m dumber than I originally thought.

I like to get high but I’m also into fitness/ sports. I mainly use for recovery purposes like after a rough workout/ grappling session (and it’s the best for soreness relief).
Regular smoking is a no go for me.
Edibles seem hard to get the right dose, and I don’t like to get super high (except maybe on occasions).
Vapes are ok, but I feel like I’m getting low quality bud with the pre made sticks.

I'm looking for some advice in getting the latest DT news delivered via email. I have followed the DT Facebook page which has the content I want but I've found that 1) I can't get it to email me notifications even though I've set it up as such and 2) even if I were able to get it going, I find any specific FB notification I'm looking for gets lost in all the other FB ones despite the fact I've turned the majority of my notifications off.
I've tried using a page following service and pointing it at hevydevy.com/news to notify me via email if there are any changes to the page, but it fires every time somebody likes one of the embedded social media posts, etc so that's become less useful. I'm wondering if anyone here has found a good way to get notified when news is posted? I've not managed to find a DT mailing list yet. I find that because I am not in the habit of regularly checking social media I'm missing stuff which is no good! I'd be interested to hear any methods from others on how you stay on top of the latest DT happenings?

I sent this message to my HR representative thru the employee portal.. wondering if anyone has any comments or knowledge about this particular issue regarding compensation for "ride-time" in a company vehicle.
"So, I should start by saying I've thoroughly enjoyed working for _________ in _______ , __ for the last month as a seasonal driver helper. I'm hoping to get my foot in the door here after peak season and work my way up to a higher position as a career.
As for right now, though, I am sort of confused about the compensation method of seasonal driver helpers.. When we leave the building in the morning, certain drivers will enter that time as my start time and then put my end time in when we get back to the building, subtracting half an hour for a mandatory lunch break.
HOWEVER, my problem begins when i leave the building with other drivers in the morning & i notice they dont clock me in until we deliver our first package and then they clock me out as soon as we deliver the last package, and then still subtract half an hour for lunch. (union members are given one paid 30-min lunch break per day but I've never seen a driver who actually took their break, we just nibble on our lunch throughout the day and I have absolutely no problem with this. And I am riding shotgun for a couple of hours per day so its not unreasonable to subtract a non-paid 30min "break" from seasonal or part time workers' total time for the day.
I've been told that the compensation method with which I have an issue is the proper way for driver helper hours to be entered but it doesn't feel right to me and I haven't been able to find any information regarding this issue. My personal goal of staying employed with ______ is preventing me from trying to resolve this issue with any superior at my building, as I don't want to become a thorn in someone's side or sound arrogant when I've only been working here less than a month.
But tonight was enough to make me speak up, because I would have logged about ~90 minutes of my time between the trips there and back... and an additional 30 minute break was subtracted from my time .. giving me just over 7 hours when i should have had just over 9.
I hope this can be resolved. If this is just the way things are, then I understand and I will deal with it. But I'm not very happy about any organization assuming I'll give them however many hours of my time for free. I feel everyone should be compensated for ALL of their time; from when the

Hello, I am looking for information concerning the disposal of a handmade bracelet that I received. If this objects intention was the delivery method of a type of curse, is it important to find the appropriate medium or type of curse to dispose of it? Can I use Wiccan methods of the origin is not Wiccan? Are some methods more universal? Obviously this is just what my feeling is, as I have no idea how I would be able to tell definitively whether or not i have been cursed, or if the object is-I’d love to hear if there are ways to tell also.
Hey guys just wanted to share how I organize my packages and maybe this can help somebody else out. So after I scan all my packages I click on itineraries. There’s a search bar at the top with a little barcode button on the right side. If the package will scan I can scan the barcode, if not I do voice to text to type in the first four numbers of the address. Package will show up immediately and it will also show up what stop it is on the route. Then I take a sharpie or pen and I write that number on the package. Then I organize them in delivery order! So if I just wrote down package numbers 1-20, then it goes in the front seat. If I wrote down package number 30-50 then it stays in the backseat. I find it super easy/helpful to organize like that and it only takes me about 15 minutes to do. At first I had to get the hang of being speedy at it, but now I’ve got it down. I hope someone finds this information helpful! 😄

Back again today with more confusion. My delivery is on Saturday 12/11. It is telling me to pay my balance in the app (I have purchases insurance and it is showing). When I hit start, and then "Add Payment Method", I get a pop up that says "choose payment method" and no options underneath. Has anyone else experienced this? Is this purposeful because I don't have the agreements to review yet?
I find it stressful and difficult to believe that they would leave the payment to be filled in the day before I get my delivery. Anyone have any insight?
I thought I read that only first class would be delayed due to overhaul. But even priority mail is being delayed? My packages always arrive in 3 days. It's been 5. Is USPS even worth using anymore? We now pay more and get LESS. That's insanity.
Hey all I’ve been on sub q injections for 11 years now doing weekly sub q shots. I always do them in my sides (I switch sides every week.) unfortunately it has been really hard to inject myself recently due to the amount of scar tissue in my skin. I can get the needle in fine it’s just pushing down and injecting the t that is hard.. it takes a long time for it to go in due to the scar tissue there. Has anyone else had this happen? I am considering switching to injecting it in my stomach I just don’t really want to lol. I did it once and it was a lot more unpleasant than my side. I don’t want to switch to gel either as it’s just not something I can see myself being able to do daily because of my medical problems. Has anyone had experience with this? Has anyone done the pellets? Id like to hear your guys experiences if you have had issues or switched to a different method like the pellets. Thanks in advance!
My male veiled chameleon is 9.5 months old and the past two months, he’s slowed down on eating dramatically. Now, he only eats like 1-3 feeders per week. My husbandry is on point and he is very healthy by the looks of him. (I’ve turned into a chameleon nerd, so he lives the best possible life a human could give)
My question is, should I be trying to give him calcium & multivitamin another way besides the 1-3 dusted feeders he eats each week? I feel like he may not be getting enough calcium. No signs of mbd, and he is active and eyes always open during the day. TIA
