A list of puns related to "Postcodes In Australia"
Books are:
All are in at least very good second hand condition, some are as new, some large format - if you care let me know and I'll let you know which are which, they all read the same :)
PM which you want and your postcode and we'll work out postage or pick up.
I tried to edit to make the list a bit easier to read but didn't seem to work, still new to posting.
Any data people in here? I'm trying to get my hands on how big each postcode is in terms of surface area. Seems like this would be publicly available but the ABS only seems to have surface area at the statistical area 2 level, and the many to many match with postcode mapping makes it impossible to back out the calculation.
I know how difficult this time must be for you all, and understand how hard it might be to get to the shops when the food is available. If you need any help getting the food you and your family need, let me know! We can arrange something and get you the food you need. You send me a message or let me know in the comments.

Hello lovely Mancunians
This is such a long shot, but my mum is trying to apply for her NHS pension, and they need the address she was living at when she signed up in 1982. We have got as far as;
Cavendish Gardens Cavendish Road Withington Manchester
Any ideas? These houses have been demolished since (they were part of Withington Hospital).
Many thanks for any ideas!
It's 2020 already, fix this.
I realize this might be strange coming from a British person but I don't often have to deliver things, and currently can't drive on medical grounds [DVLA reasons]. Also, I'm not sure if there's actually a specific subreddit for British-related questions on this topic [postcodes].
Anyway, I was looking up postcodes on streetcheck.co.uk when planning a journey [a weekend away at some point later in the year] and am wondering, how many addresses/house numbers typically per postcode?
Using WN5 Wigan postcode as an example, from streetcheck.co.uk [nearest one to me] it tells you the names of the streets but not the actual numbers.
I've seen conflicting things on how many addresses per postcode - one discussion on MoneySavingExpert saying only a few, another site saying many addresses per one postcode [not a site like MoneySavingExpert].
I know that some businesses can have their name in the form of:
|| :| |Your Car Sales |Unit 2 |Kings Road Industrial Estate |Kings Road |Leeds |LS13 0XX
[That's a hypothetical one].
but is the use of Unit 1/Unit 2 or other such forms of address instead of a building number less common?
One of my friends has a Renault Megane [a 2011 model] with sat-nav which is pretty old, and I know that sat-navs aren't always accurate, especially in some cars
What websites are good if you want to find the exact postcode and house number [as streetcheck.co.uk is good in broad strokes for street names with postcodes, but not addresses].
Disclaimer: This is not promotion for streetcheck and I've no affiliation with the site, it's just what I used for research.
I would appreciate any explanation.
My X570 Master is paired with a 3800X. I have had several issues with BIOS settings being lost after shutdown prior to this, but now, I can't even get to the BIOS anymore following a Win10 shutdown. It instead power cycles itself continually until it reaches the "b2" error, at which point it freezes for 10-20 seconds before power cycling again.
My 3800X is running stock settings.
I am running this RAM kit at its stock XMP settings: F4-3200C14D-32GVK.
I am running a Powercolor 5700 Red Dragon, also fully stock.
All my display drivers are up-to-date and my motherboard is running the F11 BIOS.
The following things have not worked:
Making absolute sure my display cable is connected and working
Clearing CMOS
Reseating RAM
Swapping the RAM into the A1 B1 slots
Swapping the RAM into A1 A2 or B1 B2
Running just a single stick of RAM (tried both sticks alone in all four slots)
Switching GPU BIOS
Reseating GPU
Putting GPU into a lower PCIe slot
My GPU fans aren't spinning but they never are during boot. I am still pretty sure my GPU works as the backplate got warm in both the PCIe slots I tested it in.
I have also tried just letting it power cycle for around 30 minutes to no avail. Never got any sign of life on my display.
I'm out of ideas for what to tweak at this point. Is this a motherboard issue, or has my CPU / GPU / RAM up and died?
Any advice is welcome.
Edit: Resolved. A new RAM kit + a 7770 got me into Windows, then a fresh install got the 5700 and 3200 memory working again with no further tweaks. Zero clue why the 7770 worked when a GTX 460 didn't but I'm not complaining.
For instance, a couple of months ago I was taking out car insurance with eSure. Their website, for address entry, only had an automated postcode search, and when I put mine in, it had the flat below me, the flat across the hallway from me, but not mine, but no way to amend it.
Ended up having to phone them to set it up, which defeated the entire point of using the website - avoiding having to SPEAK to someone. Urgh.
I'm trying to override the default address fields of WC checkout page.
The goal is to show a dropdown for city and postcode fields (I'm shipping to only a handful of locations).
I added a select
for city and postcode fields. This code in in my theme's functions.php
.
add_filter( 'woocommerce_checkout_fields' , 'partial_unsetting_checkout_fields' );
function partial_unsetting_checkout_fields( $fields ) {
unset($fields['shipping']['woocommerce_checkout_fields']);
return $fields;
}
add_filter( 'woocommerce_default_address_fields' , 'customize_postcode_fields' );
function customize_postcode_fields( $adresses_fields ) {
$adresses_fields['postcode']['type'] = 'select';
$adresses_fields['postcode']['options'] = array(
'' => __('Select your postcode', 'woocommerce'),
'01234' => '01234',
'12345' => '12345',
'23456' => '23456'
);
$adresses_fields['city']['type'] = 'select';
$adresses_fields['city']['options'] = array(
'' => __('Select your city', 'woocommerce'),
'city_1' => 'City 1',
'city_2' => 'City 2',
'city_3' => 'City 3'
);
return $adresses_fields;
}
However, when I select an item from the dropdown, the shipping address (the one in the order summary column) is not updated. Also, when I click on the "Order" button, the checkout page simply reloads and no order is sent.
How can I update the fields to work correctly?
Thanks in advance.
We usually get asked for our name at the various play areas (which I understand as part of identification at peak times when there is a 2 hour limit, but this time they wanted the postcode as well (we went there last week and they only wanted our name). It is a private run centre, so it isn't like the council needs it to check eligibilty or anything. Does anyone know if this is common or why they want it?
Maybe I'm just super paranoid about data usage, but I'm not totally happy with random people knowing there is a child at a particular postcode.
Edit: advertising makes perfect sense, thanks everyone
Letters and licence plate
If so then I don't think it's worth it
I don't play. Damn.
