A list of puns related to "Pera"
I watched Joe Pera Reads You the Church Announcements 3 times in 24 hours.
Hi, this is Joe Pera and I just wanted to drop into this subreddit to say hello and answer some questions about the show. Marty Schousboe, the director and I will occasionally look at the page to read your theories on it - some are correct, some are definitely not but it's nice for us to see that people are appreciating the details and small jokes we try to layer into the series and know that the stuff that makes us laugh throughout the process doesn't go unnoticed. Alright, let me know what you're interested in and I'll answer best I can. And please don't feel offended if I rather not respond to or expand on something, I never caused a train explosion and that's all I will say about that.

EDIT (3:53pm ET) -- Ok, I am sorry but my fingers are getting tired - been typing now almost as long as the Dune movie. I hope I answered some of the stuff you were curious about but if there's something lingering, send me an email or find me after a show. The response to the new season has been so nice and I'm so appreciative of your support for our small show. The season, in my opinion, keeps getting better as it goes and I can't wait for you to see the new episodes. And I will tell Conner you said hello.

Hey there,
So this might sounds dumb but I want to help Joe Pera receive more seasons.
I went on meta and rotten and Google review and gave what I believe are fair scores for 'Joe Pera talks with you' so for me that was an easy 5 stars, 10/10
This is entirely optional and might not lead to anything more than recognition of the shows excellent.
It's the least I can do beyond buying the book, to say thank you and let the studios know there is an audience for this type of comedy.
If you want to here are the links of some sites which might help...

Rotten 100% / 100% https://www.rottentomatoes.com/tv/joe_pera_talks_with_you/s01

Yuru Camp (or Laid-Back Camp) is a show about a group of young girls bonding with each other and learning about themselves through a mutual interest in camping, hiking, traveling, and other outdoor activities. As the name implies, it has a very laid-back energy that, while not being identical to Joe Pera, occupies a similar niche. Like Joe Pera's work, it's very interested in a sense of tranquility, beautiful shots of nature, simple pleasures, and a sense of wholesomeness. There's more than one scene that centers entirely on the satisfying feeling of hot beverages on a cold night. The show has a good heart.
If I'm being honest, the only thing that doesn't really do it for me personally is the intro sequence. It's a little too bouncy imo for a show with such a chilled-out vibe. However, check out this outro song!
TAGENTIALLY RELATED: Another anime with a really laid-back energy is one of my favorites, Mushi-shi. The original series ran in from '05-06 then they made an OVA and sequel series in 2014. It's something of a supernatural anthology show set in old Japan. It has a very dream-like vibe. And the writing is FIRE!
I think it'd smell like pine and a well used Carhartt jacket.
EDIT: ALL OF THESE COMMENTS ARE SO LOVELY, I just want these as candle scents in general!
Sino po dito yung nagpositive sa RT PCR then after 14 days na nagtest ulit, negative na pero may symptoms pa rin?
Thanks!
The Japanese show Midnight Diner is something some Joe Pera fans might love. Others, not so much. That's OK! (It's streaming on Netflix)
It's about a little late night diner in Tokyo, the owner, and the customers who pass through. It has a similar pace to Joe Pera, very slow and unforced, and it is about a lot of people who are on the margins. It can be very funny, but in a sneaky slow way. It doesn't try to jam its point of view down your throat.
It may not work for all JPTTY fans, and that's OK! It's very foreign, and the tone is more bittersweet. Some people fall in love, but others are disappointed. The owner of the diner is in every episode, but he's not a central character like Joe Pera, and Midnight Diner doesn't have his specific organizing point of view.
You kind of have to feel about Japanese food the way Mike Melsky feels about egg bites, and it's OK if that doesn't work for you. It's a big part of the show. But it might just work for some of you.
The scale is very human, very personal, and very much about the quirks and flaws of people trying to make connections, sometimes successfully and sometimes not, and sometimes in the middle. Maybe check it out while you're waiting for your bean seeds from Burpee or Park's to arrive.
It's not that unusual for someone to have happy memories of their grandparents, but Joe inherits his nana's house, and none of the flashbacks feature parents that I can recall. Just curious. Gonna go eat some Warm Apple now.
When I first started watching Joe Pera, I was convinced the show was tongue in cheek considering it is aired on Adult Swim, with pretty absurdist shows like Tim and Eric where they employ non-actors regularly and play with false-sincerity. I'm so used to everything being a subtle troll, or snark, that it was hard for me to believe that Joe Pera is sincere. Even now, my instincts make me search for some kind of sly wink to indicate that the entire thing was just a front for some sort of negative commentary on midwest idealism. I hate this and I think it's a symptom of how far our culture has gone from sincerity in general in entertainment. But as I watch through the seasons I realize that the tone is genuine (as far as I can sense). And Joe Pera is not about blind optimism, or escapism, it's about truly seeing what is in front of you, chewing and processing the physicality of life. Food, well made things, exploring time and space when you allow yourself to be in the moment. Things I think a lot of us have forgotten, being on my phone all of the time, or on my computer. In the show you can tell Joe treasures and contemplates each possession he owns, each person or friend or student he interacts with. Even if this is some elaborate troll by a comedian I don't care, the message is important. And I don't think it is, though I'm working on disarming those instincts. I'm personally in my late thirties, and I think Joe is reacting to what all of us are going through when we live our lives online or glued to our phones, being present in our lives may not always be perfect, but it's an anchor that makes us feel whole as human beings.
Hi, sorry if this was a known thing but I did a search and nothing popped up. In S2 E8 Joe Pera Watches Internet Videos With You, I'm pretty sure that is Post10 in the second video opening old cans of soup!
I don't know anything about Townsend's Wilderness Homestead, which is the name of the YouTube account that posted these, but they're brilliant and almost like bonus episodes.
The one where he makes a stool
I was just looking for a clip from one of the s3 episodes but these were a pleasant surprise!
