A list of puns related to "Ozaki"
i feel as though season two truly calls into question who these characters are compared to the first. namely, ozaki, laurent, and makoto. cases 1-3 are basically cons centered around targeting men with a great deal of money who abuse their power at the expense of others. and i think these cases show that while this group is incredibly questionable and morally gray, over all they have good intentions at the end of the day.
i think a big issue with case 4 thatโs absolutely glossed over by the writers is that they approached this plot from the same angle was the other three cases before it. but this isnโt as quite as cut and dry as a hollywood director with a drug empire or an art dealer who makes counterfeit art. weโre talking about human trafficking rings here.
we donโt really get a definitive timeline breakdown ( because if we had i think it wouldโve made it even more apparent to viewers just how fucked up this entire con was from the conception of it ), but essentially weโre told: ozaki serves his sentence and gets out of prison. he ends up going to liu and begging for a job. at some point during all of this laurent recruits cynthia and abbie. keeping in mind the time we DO know, makoto has known the team for somewhere around an absolute minimum of three years, given that he was in prison for two of those. my moneyโs on around five years just with the way time passes between cons / before cons really pick up.
all of this to say: ozaki was basically trafficking children for at least a good 3-5 years? at LEAST? i can suspend my disbelief for a lot of the things that donโt make sense within this anime, but you honestly canโt expect me to believe that they were easily buying up all of these children being sold by liu undetected for several years? i know ozaki didnโt have a direct hand with it like makoto comes to, but that doesnโt mean he wasnโt a willing participant in the system. likeโฆ.how many children were bought and sold during that time frame?? its a little insane to think about.
and thatโs not even getting to ozaki choosing this life over coming home to his family ( properly. visiting your sick wife in secret while playing around in a trafficking ring for years on end hardly counts ), coming clean about what got him there in the first place, etc. makoto has every right from the jump to hate this man with or without context. but still chooses to forgive him at first before he watches his friends die right in front of him at the hands of his own fat

This, to my surprise, was a 2 count match.
The idea of a 2 count match is odd because in a one on one match you can't really hit all of your signature offense but in a tag, it really works because you have multiple people there to break it up when it does happen so there's very little restriction on what you can do. Plus the fact that there's so many run ins on pinfalls and just in general makes both teams (made up of wrestlers who don't often team up) feel like actual tag teams working together and everytime it devolves it really triggers your focus because logically, if there's gonna be a fall it'll be when everyone else is distracted, right?
One thing this match does a great job of is how it really doesn't harp all that much on the 2 count rule like a less thoughtful group of wrestlers would. They really find their own voice with their own interesting ideology of match, which I'm always a real sucker for. Joshi is filled to the brim with incredibly unique match structures and they're all executed near to no flaw, quite a handful of them being flawless. Which I'll hopefully cover someday in video form.
So the match starts with Chigusa Nagayo, Dynamite Kansai, and Devil Masami battering the hell out of our babyface team in really impressive, Michinoku pro style synchronicity. I've affectionately named this unofficial group "team shit kicker" because of how much of this match is dedicated to them kicking the shit out of the babyface team.
The match gets into a really interesting narrative where the heels when going one on one with any of the babyfaces is vastly superior and dominant and the only way the babyfaces ever recover any momentum is if they make a hot tag but even then, they're not long for control as team shit kicker quickly pulverizes them and resumes control. With the only wayย Mayumi, Suzuki, or Plum ever retain control is if they work together to try and isolate a heel.
This is really the template for much of the match and while that may make it sound like it's decorated with a pattern, they actually fill in this template in a variety of different ways making every exchange feel different. It is expertly layed out and incredibly fun.
Probably my only criticism of this match is that I actually ended up rooting for the heels here when I don't think that was intended. There is a real scrappy charm with the team of Suzuki, Mayumi Ozaki, and Plum Mariko as there always will be. They'

He is a professor in both oral surgery and plastics surgery in UCLA. He is in my insurance network. During my consultation for UJS he seemed pretty knowledgeable and trustworthy and said he does around 40 jaw surgeries a year but I couldnโt find any reviews of him since he doesnโt have a private dental office and most reviews online are about his plastic procedures. He said he prefers me to switch to braces instead of Invisalign before my procedure and that made me think. Below is a link to his page in UCLA in case knowledgeable fellows reading this have some free time to evaluate and comment. But I would really love to hear some first hand experiences. Iโm sure all can relate. Thanks in advance.
