Oxymorphone Puns

Occasionally, someone will post this topic but I havent seen it in a while so I thought what the hell, let’s try again.

Naloxone has been around for awhile. It was originally derived from oxymorphone. The chemistry to get from oxymorphone to Naloxone is pretty easy. The other way around is not so easy. But it is theoretically possible, as is anything with enough resources and time.

So, how about it. Any new info out there on simplifying this reaction? Can we get some of our chemistry nerds here working on it? I mean, Naloxone is everywhere now. How awesome would it be if we could reverse that reaction somehow. We’re counting on you! ;)

So I just IVed (slowly and carefully…) ≈ 5mg oxymorphone (aka “Opana”) from a 10mg IR pill. I was lucky enough to encounter and successfully acquire this heavenly pill from ye olde onion fields…

Below is how I did it, if anyone is interested, and perhaps for harm reduction’s sake.

(Disclaimer: I will admit there was one aspect in regards to the preparation process, which I could have improved upon— that being the use of a proper medical/scientific-grade filter. And at the risk of coming off like a hypocrite, I still strongly suggest to anyone who is routinely shooting pills: go that extra mile and get proper filters. Your veins will thank you, seriously. And they will last much longer as well.)

Mkay so this is how I did it…

1. Placing the pill on a clean, flat surface, I ground it into a very fine powder using a rounded off piece of polished stone (cleaned first with isopropyl alcohol of course)— the pill was surprisingly very easy to grind up, too.

2. I then split the pile in half with an old credit card, dumping one half into a tiny glass measuring cup.

3. After adding ≈ 0.4-0.5 mL of cool water and mixing the solution well for at least a minute or two, I drew all of the liquid up with a 29G 1/2” insulin syringe, through a fresh wad of cotton (did this twice— again, I should have used a proper filter, but my silly excuse I guess was I was only going to be doing this twice 🤷‍♀️).

4. So after filtering twice, I carefully transferred the pink liquid to a 31G needle, since the vein I planned to use was much easier to access with a smaller gauge (and 5/16” in length as opposed to 1/2”).

5. Andddd… Wham bam thank you ma’am. Best. High. Ever.

I have only ever tried oxycodone and dilaudid, although I only have done dilaudid 2 times and in small doses compared to my oxy doses. I only sniff my oxy and I tried sniffing the dilly’s as well. Anyway, recently I’ve seen many people talk about how oxymorphone is the holy grail of prescription opioids. I think my plug may have some opana and I wanted to ask a couple things. What’s your experience of opana compared to oxy? Also, which opana’s are able to be crushed and sniffed? I’ve heard some were reformulated similarly to how some of the oxy contins have been reformulated, and if I’m gonna go try these I want a brand that I can crush and sniff, as I’ve learned that oxymorphone has a oral bioavailability of 10% and I really don’t want to waste, also that it goes up to about 40% when sniffed.

If I manage to get one that can be sniffed, Since oral opana is 2x the strength of oral oxy , and sniffing it makes it 4x more bioavailable, am I right to assume it will be about 8x the strength of my oxy if I sniff it?

Again though my most important question is which brands can be crushed and sniffed.

ALSO, in your opinion, do you think I should give dilly a second chance at the correct conversion to my usual oxy intake? If so why.

Basically what the title says, I have been using oxy for a long time and have a fairly decent tolerence. My buddy has some oxymorphone that I am going to buy.

I understand a better ROA for oxymorphone is nasal vs oral. I am not too comfortable with IV or plugging.

Now, what should I expect with this oxymorphone bad boy? Yall like it better than oral oxys? Let me know!!

This is an update to my other post

I swiped a whole bottle of pink oxymorphones that date back to 2008 and tried them earlier today. I just crushed one up (5 mg) and made 4 similarly sized lines out of it, railed two of them, and waited. Within 15 minutes I was on cloud nine, I was sort of energized but for the most part just super euphoric and warm feeling. I put the rest of the powder in a small plastic bag and hid it and proceeded to space out for at least 4 hours on my bed and surprisingly stayed awake. So if you saw that post and were concerned, fear not, as I played it pretty safe.

Was this drug initially developed with the intent of a stronger oxycodone in mind?

recently have been acquiring g77 opana 30 mgs, just lick and rub the coating off break it down and do a 5 mg line, and i was nodding after not doing opiates for a bit. tolerance went up quickly though and in 4 days i could do a whole one and now after one week of usage i’m already going through withdrawals, so this is your warning

Some background: currently I'm scripted 22 8mg Dilaudid 's (Hydromorphone) + 400mg of Kadian (ER Morphine) Every day. It's a lot of pills to take and I find that the Euphoria from dillies isn't much. I've been thinking about asking my doc to switch to oxymorphone. I've heard it's the king of opiates when it comes to Euphoria and strength. But I've also heard mixed opinions with some people claiming that Dilaudid is stronger than oxymorphone & others that oxymorphone is stronger than Dilaudid. I've tried to look up opioid conversion charts for an answer but I can't find anything definitive.

What do you guys think? Which is stronger? What will allow me to take less pills and still get the same effect. I. Hoping the answer is oxymorphone, because the added euphoria would be a huge bonus for me on top of having to take less pills a day.

EDIT: Does anyone know what the equivalent dose would be to switch the Hydromorphone to Oxymorphone?

So I’ve never gotten my hands on some but my dealer just called and said he’s got some g74 40mg pandas… what’s the best way to take these down without IV or boof?? Is it worth getting over a oxy 30 if I don’t IV or boof? Tolerance is 30-45mg oxy, has me feelin pretty good. Can handle a lot more.

Can anybody give me an idea on strength of these compared to like morphine or oxy or something...also can I bang these or na?

I'm on some opaite blocking medication so I was basically getting less effects, as all that works is oxycodone oral which gets metabolized to 15% of oxymorphone, which can finally surpass the blockage. After a whole year I finally got some endorphins flowing again and took 30mg of oxycodome at first then 20mg after 8 hours and to be honest I did feel some warmth and even some motor control loss but I was definitely underwhelmed, even though I have no tolerance, am very sensitive I had times where I was more surprised by just 5mg or some wine during the early days where I got more stimulating effects and music appreciation and a more in-your-face euphoria rather than a in your background scratch your nuts and stop caring about your problems type of high. My sister told me she definitely noticed I was fucked up though even though it was a low amount but I took daily benzos, weed and seroquel on top. One think though was that I was half-awake through the whole highs but did nothing but be stoned out of my mind. Honestly the first time smoking weed was better back then I had laughter fits.

I was having bad side effects from the morphine and was switched to oxymorphone er 10 mg. I know they say the bioavailability is low with morphine. Saod the oxy is 2 1/2 to 3 times stronger. I also take 3 10 my of roxies a day for breakthrough pain. Is this a better combo for chronic pain 🤔
