A list of puns related to "Order Picking"
The seller said, βOh, that last one is a freebee!β
Be sure to say, "Thanks, a latte!"
Be aware We ordered a Chinese takeaway from a local place (I won't name them) I went to pick it up last night and as I was driving home, I heard the bags rustling and moving!!WTF??!!! I thought what the hell is that. Has something got in the bag, I thought I could see a little pair of eyes peering out at me. I was driving so I leaned forward, picked up the bag, put it on the passenger seat and there it was again, more rustling and little eyes looking out behind the prawn crackers, I thought its got to be a rat or a mouse or something, so I carefully pulled the bag down ... And there it was ... ... A Peeking Duck!!!
It's true, I saw it today and they were suuuuuuper busy! The waiting room was packed, and every time the orderly would come out to call in another patient, the half-man-half-horse would get all excited; "is it my turn now? oh, pick me, pick me!" and all that jazz. Of course, every time it was actually someone else's turn; the Kraken, or the Minotaur, or the Chupacabra. Eventually it seemed to get on the Satyr's nerves, because he yelled over "pipe down, Mike, we're all sick of you needing to be the Centaur of attention!"
When he got there, a woman extended her hand.
"Good afternoon, sir," she said. "My name is Patricia Wack. How may I help you today?"
Kermit replied, "Hi-ho, Patricia! I'm Kermit the Frog, and I would like to borrow some money."
They walked over to her desk and sat down.
"Certainly, Mr. Frog--"
"Oh, just call me Kermit."
"Okay... Kermit. How much money would you like to borrow?"
"Ten thousand dollars."
Mildly surprised, Ms. Wack looked intently at Kermit.
"Do you have any references?"
"Well, I suppose I could use my father, Keith Richards."
Ms. Wack froze for a second, then...
"THE Keith Richards?"
"Oh, yes. In fact, he told me he's friends with your manager, which is why I came in here."
"Okay... Do you have any collateral?"
"Excuse me?"
"Collateral. Something of value, like a car, or a boat..."
"Oh, yes! I do have something. I have this."
Kermit reached into his briefcase and placed a small figurine on the desk. Patricia looked curiously at the object, then at our amphibious friend.
"What's this?"
"It's a Hummel."
"A what?"
"A Hummel. They're supposed to be quite valuable. Well, at least this one is to me."
She picked up the Hummel and stood up.
"If you don't mind, I would like to show this to the manager."
"Oh, no! I don't mind at all!"
So, Patricia took the Hummel to the manager's office, knocked on the door, and walked inside.
"Patricia! What can I do for you?"
"Mr. Wilson, there's this... frog named Kermit at my desk, and he wants to borrow $10,000, but he has only this for collateral."
Mr. Wilson looked at the Hummel, then out to her desk.
"I don't see anything out of order here."
"But, Mr. Wilson--"
"Look, it's a knick-knack, Patty Wack. Give the frog a loan. His old man's a Rolling Stone."

Puzzled, the woman watches as the next customer, a young girl, walks up to order her hot dog.
As she takes the container of relish, she bursts into a fit of giggles and walks off with her food, still laughing merrily.
A middle-aged man steps up next. Shoveling sauerkraut onto his hot dog, he laughs uproariously and walks away grinning.
When she reaches the front of the line, the woman asks the hot dog vendor,

... keep reading on reddit β‘So there were these two high schoolers, both madly in love. they were like the most well known couple around the school. so a couple months go by after they've began dating and they both see a flier in the hallway. it talks about the up coming school dance which is taking place next week. so naturally, the guy asks the girl to come with him. she says yes and the planing begins. he gets home that night and surfs the entire web for a relatively cheap limo company with still have decent amenities. after ordering that, he heads off to the local tailor and gets a suit made for in his girlfriends favourite colour, blue. then the week passes and he preparing to go and pick her up, so he picks up the flowers he bought her earlier that day and heads out to the now parked limo. he gets in and orders the driver to her house. he gets there and gives her the flowers. they go out for dinner at a very fancy place, him paying for everything. they both finally get to the school hall and head in to see all their friends. they have a wonderful night, dancing, having photos taken, they both really just enjoyed themselves. they even got elected prom king and queen! so the night is coming to an end and they both decide to sit down and have a rest. the girls feeling a bit thirsty so the guy heads over to the refreshments table to get her a drink. it's pretty quite there as in this joke, there isnt a punchline. ( Ν‘Β° ΝΚ Ν‘Β°)
I used to work at a starbucks with my best bud to earn some extra cash after school. Every day an hour or so before closing without fail this older indian man would come in and order two large coffees.
We started to talk with the guy since there weren't many other people in the shop and he told us is name was Haind Sahit and that he was a night worker which is why he drank the coffee. After a while, we would just have the coffee ready for him as soon as he came in the door.
One evening my friend went out back to pick some supplies for refill and had to get something from the top shelf, being a short guy he grabbed an old ladder and started climbing but one of the steps broke and he fell and hit his head pretty hard.
He was rushed to the hospital and woke up a couple days later with no major damages but with a light case of amnesia.
Once he got back on his legs he started working at the starbucks again and as soon as Haind heard, he came back to see how my friend was and stepped up to the desk to greet him. Sadly my friend couldn't remember him at all and just asked what he would like to order. Haind turned around with a tear in his eyes and said "You know, you should really have checked that ladder before you used it".
There was a glimmer in my friends eye and he immediatly started preparing two large coffees. As Haind saw he started smiling and crying and came around the desk to give my friend a hug. He asked my friend "What happened, how did you remember?" and my friend answered "Haind Sahit is always venti venti".
About halfway through the valley, drumbeats started rolling from the mountains around them. Everyone in the party was confused, but the local guides started to panic.
"We HAVE to get out of here by sundown, OR ELSE".
The explorer orders his men to pick up the pace, and keep moving. A couple hours later, The drums start beating more and more frantically. Again, the guides say: "Keep moving, WE HAVE TO GET OUT OF HERE".
A bit later, the men hear horns echoing from the hills.
The explorer asks his guides: "what was that?"
They respond: "theres no time, we need to be out BEFORE SUNDOWN, we only have a few hours!!!".
Exasperated, the explorer asks "Why? What could be so urgent? And why do we have to get out by sundown?".
The guides reply, "at sundown, the bagpipe solo starts!"
Situation: I was picking up food at an Indian restaurant and I had to wait ten minutes on fresh naan.
When they finally came out with my food: I'm so sorry this took so long here you go.
I held up the order and replied: Don't worry it's a naan issue.
So one time there was this kid named Tim. Tim wanted to really wanted to go to the school prom with a girl named Janet. So one day, at school, he walked up to Janet and asked if she wanted to go.
She said yes!
So once she got home she told her mom. Her mom was very excited for her and called all of their family to share the news.
Then, that weekend, Janet and her mom went dress shopping. They looked and tried on several dresses until they found the right one. Janet tried that one on and was very happy.
Meanwhile, Tim needed a tuxedo. He looked online and found a great shop and put in an rental order.
The next week he came in and picked it up. On the way home he picked up a corsage. And once he got home, he ordered a limousine.
The day of Tim put on his tuxedo and grabbed the corsage just as the limo arrived to pick him up. Then the limo took him to Janet's house and her parents took a lot of pictures of the two of them.
Once their parents were finally done taking pictures, they left for the prom.
They bought their tickets and went inside and danced for a while.
And then, Janet asked Tim to get her something to drink. He went to find something, but there was no punch line!
I ordered a quart of matzoh ball soup from the restaurant across the street. They usually put two matzoh balls per order, but I asked if I could have a third. The guy on the phone said he'd try to fit the extra one in.
When I went to pick up the soup, I asked the guy if he was able to get the third one in the container, and he said "Yup, the ball's in your quart now".
So I'm at Costco picking up the hot dog meal I had added to my order at the checkout. The girl at the food court register yells to the guy working in the back, "Hey! Can you make me a hot dog?"
I looked at her dead serious, waved my spirit fingers, and said, "POOF! YOU'RE A HOT DOG!"
.... She didn't get it. Kids these days...
My mom just told me the story. Apparently, my dad and my uncle went to get vasectomies together. They were picked up at the house by a limo. My mom, confused, asked why they ordered a limo to drive them to get their vasectomies, to which my dad responded, "If I'm going to be impotent, I want to look im-po'-tant."
We drove home from a visit at my parents' house and decided to pick up a pizza on our way home.
My SO orders the pizza and the guy asks her how she wants it sliced.
Pizzaguy "Do you want 4 or 8 slices?"
My SO "Just 4 please. I don't think I can eat 8 slices"
Me and the pizza guy eyeroll
So I work in a distribution wearhouse for an orange chainsaw company and I work there with my dad.
So a few of the guys in the wearhouse like to wear toques, a winter hat that covers your ears for you non-Canadians, and my dad mentioned this to me as we're heading off to lunch so I say, "well, I guess there are toque kinds of people...". Even my dad groaned.
One of the afore mentioned toque wearing guys was picking a particularly big order consisting of mostly gloves, and he starts complaining that there are too many damn gloves in this order. So I sarcastically replied, "I bet you just gloved picking that order." He just turned around and walked away and didn't speak to me the rest of the day.
To preface, we work at a coffee shop. A somewhat picky customer comes up and orders a 16 ounce chai tea latte, with soy milk. My coworker tells me all of this, and that the customer would like the drink at exactly 140Β°F. I make the drink, and call it out to be picked up: "16 ounce soy milk chai!"
My coworker comes over and says, "Hopefully she likes it, I've had to remake her drink a couple times before." I replied with:
"Well I certainly chai-ed soy hard when I made it."
Eye rolling and groans all around while I grinned ear to ear.
A few weeks ago, our band teacher ordered a string bass for the band. It came in today, and he asked me to help put it together. He picked up a wrapped package from the box and I asked "is that the bridge?" And he said yes. "That's a pretty small bridge, how are you going to drove cars over it?" Cue groans from the whole class, minus a volcano of laughter from the teacher.
We were getting pizza for dinner which she ordered online and I went to pick it up. Before I went in the store, I texted her to ask what name she put the order under.
Me: What name is it under?
Her: Mine
Me: They said they don't have an order under the name "Mine"
Her: Try "fuck you"
Me: lol
So at the restaurant where I work, managers are referred to as "PICs" (pronounced "pick"). This stands for Person in Charge. Its stupid, I know. Anyway, I work in the front of house, and I hear my coworker James, who works in the kitchen, yell through the order window; "I NEED TO SEE A PIC. I NEED A PIC OVER HERE! CAN I SEE A PIC?"
I walked over and stared at him through the order window. While maintaining eye contact I slowly inserted my finger into my nose and rotated it. He gaped at me, open-mouthed.
"What the fuck are you doing?"
"You asked to see a pick."
And then I laughed for like ten straight minutes while he shook his head in pity.
My daughter was straightening up a pile of stuff in the kitchen, and picked up a small blue empty decorative box. "What's this?" she asked.
Ever the dad, of course I answered, "It's a box..."
She rolled her eyes and said, "No, Dad, what's it from?" But it didn't end there.
She handed the box to me and I started speculating that it looked about the size of box for a watch. Then Mom said she thought it was from a necklace I had given her for Mother's Day.
Just to be clear, Mom had sent me an e-mail "hint" in the form of a link to order the necklace, so being a dutiful hubby, I ordered it. She caught the package in the mail as soon as it arrived and opened it right away, several days before Mother's Day. So I had never even seen the box. No wonder I couldn't identify it. Just saying.
Meanwhile I was turning the box over in my hand and noticed a little gold sticker on a corner of the box. I handed the box back to my daughter and said, "Here, read the sticker."
She took the box back and looked at the sticker. It said, "BOX, Made in China."
I said, "See? I was right." She threw the box at me.
"You go to the mall - that's one. The second method is you drop off a load of donations at Salvation Army. Third: you're picked up by a backhoe and transported to a pool of radioactive material in the middle of the garbage dump and your jeans are magically transferred off of you as you disintegrate. And the fourth? By policemen carrying out a court order in a maximum security prison."
We got our meals (both ordered the porterhouse) and it comes with a sprig of thyme as garnish on the plate. He picks it up and puts it on his shoulder and sings "Thyme it's on my side, yes it is." The server proceeds to tell us it is rosemary, and he started singing "Rosemary is on my side, yes it is." Laughter and eye rolls ensure.
A woman came into my restaurant to pick up an order under the name April. So I responded "An order for April? You're really early, is only January!" Groaning by my coworkers ensued.
Last night my parents came over for dinner, so we decided to order some fried chicken from one of our favorite restaurants.
My mom called in the order and placed it under my dad's name "Jon".
My dad and I go to pick up the chicken when it's ready, as we walk into the restaurant the lady at the front says "Are you here for Jon?"
Without any hesitation my dad says, "No, I'm here for chicken."
He chuckled to himself for a few seconds before letting the lady know that in fact yes, we were there to pick up the order.
So tonight for dinner, I made a glazed ham. I've been a cook for a few years, so time at home with the wife and kids to cook a good meal is rare.
Well, my wife comes in the kitchen and asks me if I'm going to score the ham (For those unaware, it means to cut lines in it, in order for the glaze to get into the ham and keep it moist while cooking.)
I nodded, picked up my knife, stood over the ham, and as I'm about to cut into it, I yell, "7.5, too much water." Then set the knife down and grinned.
She groaned something fierce, but still loved the dinner.
It was family pizza night. Mom was on the phone ordering and ends with "and I'd like a medium of cheese." Dad chimed in with, "Yea I'd love to talk to my dead cheese." He had to go pick it up after that.
Everytime my dad has to go to a fast food place like McDonald's or KFC and he gets to the window to pick up his food he acts all confused and says
"I didn't order this? Where's my extra large pizza with everything on it?"
They either laugh or just stare for a minute
Wife and I are going on a double-date. Our pals have an older kid who will babysit our young ones. We put an order in for pizza for our kids and asked the other couple what the babysitter would like. The response come back, Margherita.
Me: "If you say so... I'll have to pick up some tequila while I'm out."
Cue the groans.
This guy comes in all the time; he's a bit older, i'd wager around 70 or so, and he's always wearing these awesome bolo ties with sick button-down-shirts that have turtle patterns on them. None of this is relevant to the joke but i feel it necessary to at least give a bit of background.
Any way, he comes in, orders his pictures and when he came back to pick them up, he goes: "Hey, did I tell you what the hat said to the hat rack?" "Whaaa?" " 'Alight, you stay here, I'll go on a head' "
I walk into a Longhorn Steakhouse with my dad and we see four nuns sitting at a table making their order... My dad looks at me and says: "I guess they couldn't resist the flesh".
Another time: It was Easter weekend and we're at the airport to pick up my sister. Waiting at arrivals is a group of three nuns... My dad says: "Who are they here to pick up? Pontius Pilot?"
I work at a pizza shop and when orders are completed we yell the order so the customers can pick them up. An order came up with the name "Juan" so naturally I yelled out "I have Juan large pepperoni pizza for pick up. Any Juan here for that order?"
Earlier my pals and I wanted to have a heart attack for lunch so we go out and pick up some sonic
My buddy orders a blue raspberry freez-e and the server ask:
"Do you want nerds on that sweetie"
without hesitation "Will we have to raise them and feed them daily? "
moans and groans And all we hear over the speaker is" I'm so done with this fucking job"
"I'm sorry did I give you guys chills?
I'm still laughing about this, edit is for formatting I'm on mobile
We were ordering chinese food and deciding on what to get.
My dad: Pick a chinese dish you'd like to eat for tonight.
Me: I'd rather not honestly, they're so hard and porcelain. I don't think I'd like to eat a chinese dish tonight.
We go in and they take our order, when they ask my grandpa for a name he says,"Guachene" on the way back to the table I snicker and ask him why he said that for the name, he immediately replies, "Because we'll be Guachene to pick up the food."
Damnit grandpa.
We ordered a Chinese last from a local place in downtown (we won't name them) went to pick it up and as I was driving home, heard the bags rustling and moving!!!
I thought what on earth is that? Has something got in the bag? I thought I could see a little pair of eyes peering out.
I was driving so pulled over, I leaned forward, picked up the bag, put it on the passenger seat and there it was again, more rustling and little eyes looking out behind the chili beef.
I thought its got to be a rat or a mouse or something, so I carefully pulled the bag down ...
And there it was ...
A Peeking Duck
I hate to do this about a local business but feel you deserve to know. π
