Lot of people or should i say kids argue about who’s the GOAT between guys like Babbu Maan(he’s top 5 for sure though), Sidhu Moosewala, Karan Aujla, Diljit, etc. Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan had a global reach. People from other countries used to listen to him, visit his concerts, and many western artists named him as one of their biggest influences. Can you name another Punjabi artist that comes even close to that level? LA Weekly, a western newspaper based in California named NFAK as the 4th greatest singer of all time and not just from India or the U.S. but worldwide. This whole GOAT argument makes me laugh cause if there’s any GOAT, it’s Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan.

After hectic day at work. I listen to his qawwali (30 mins long videos on youTube). His magical voice takes me to another world. Hypnotic, surreal voice. Sometimes, I put qawwali in background while working. I reach flow state with intense work and music. OMG!
Not able to attend his concert, when he was alive, will be one of my regret.
