A list of puns related to "National Curriculum Assessment"
In Turkey they favor Ali. Muawiya and Umayyads in general are heavily criticized and shitted on. it also glorifies Abbasids and three caliph.
I heard it from a friend, but I don't know if it is true. That would be very different from western universities where fitness is not part of the education and admissions system unless you are recruited specifically for the purpose of being an athlete. I heard that students are expected to be able to run 1km in less than 4 minutes.
Does anyone know if this is true?
As we all know, the SNC has been hotly debated not only on r/pakistan, but also on Twitter, television (the infamous Hoodbhoy vs Mariam Chughtai debates), etc etc. I think that until now there has been little written about the actual issues and the actual content in the SNC and the focus has been more on more frivolous issues.
Well, I recently came across a series of articles by Dr Anjum Altaf who was formerly the Dean of the school of social sciences in LUMS. He is going through each book in SNC one by one and reviewing them:

You can access the previous parts from the bottom of the page. And he is continuously adding more reviews. I especially like his review on 'zero' (I believe that is part III).
Before you disagree with his criticism on the basis on him being 'elitist', part of the LUMS crowd, do keep in mind that Mariam Chughtai, the architect of SNC, is herself a professor at LUMS:P
I'm from the Philippines so for Grade 7 - 10, our subjects are already fixed. And for Grade 11 - 12, we have to choose a strand and each strand has fixed subjects already.
Apparently, top Universities like the Ivies prefer those who show "course rigor" but how can I show course rigor if my classes are already fixed? (meaning we can't choose)
Dual enrollment isn't possible here (I've inquired from some local Universities) and if I do get college credit, I'm automatically disqualified to some major scholarships here in my country (CHED, DOST, etc.).
I've already considered AP classes but they're too expensive. I've heard about IBs but to be honest I'm not entirely sure what those are, or if they're even helpful.
I am taking the SAT though, and so far I've maintained 95+% grades.
Any tips to show course rigor though?
So as the title says. I work at a private school, and our curriculum is about 10 years old. This is my first year, and our principal expected us to be able to map out exactly what and how every teacher should teach science from K-8 in about 2 hours. No, she has never worked in education. What other ridiculous tasks have you been assigned recently?
Lets put it in the last year of compulsory schooling with no restrictions on age limits.
