Hey all, I got into the trade last year in Oregon and moved out to Louisiana to get into an apprenticeship program. Itβs all going well, minus the umm unique work culture, but now Iβve been told after becoming a first step that I have to butt chug a four loko. I drink on occasion but I think thatβs A LOT and my foreman is saying itβs a lineman tradition. I donβt want to get in trouble here for asking, but I was just wondering if this was an actual thing.
They also want to paint my unmentionables with the same paint thatβs used to cover towers. I asked my old Oregon coworkers about it and they didnβt believe me, so Iβm just asking here
Memory from college very randomly popped into my head.
After a really bad breakup my freshman year, my teenage TBM self decided to join a frat. The one and only time I ever really rebelled in my teen years. Near the end of the semester, I went home to visit my parents and the bishop asked me to come in. He convinced me to start my mission papers literally then and there in his office (he was the dad of my close childhood friend, so he had known me nearly my whole life). Over the next few weeks I got my endowments, it all happened extremely fast.
I had not quite finished the semester, and as part of the transition from pledge to full member in the fraternity, they held a very ritualistic ceremony. It was dark and everyone was in matching hoods and robes, and we had to climb into a coffin and climb back out as symbolism for our rebirth as members, yadda yadda. And then they proceeded to teach us the MOTHER FUCKING PATRIARCHAL GRIP. Imagine my surprise when I'd just learned how to dap my way into heaven, and here these fools were doing the granddaddy of all tokens. I nearly fell over and never could explain how that happened.
Of course it's because the endowment is just masonic ritual which was also incorporated in the frat, but I didn't know that at the time. Good times, being brainwashed.
TL;DR - Newly endowed teenage me was also taught the patriarchal grip during a fraternity ritual. I was exceedingly astonished.
This is a little specific but you know how when Aella transforms and Skjor cuts her hand to bleed into the basin and then the blood justβ¦ spluchs all at once like it was dropped in a single chunk? Iβm not even sure I want to download it I just need to know someone on earth noticed and addressed this bizarre moment.
Does there need to be a form of dedication or initiation ritual performed for those just starting their path? Ive been trying to read up on this but im not getting a clear answer lol.

Several years ago, when I first began my practice, I performed a self-initiation ritual. For the past year or so I have totally fallen out of my practice and want to start anew. Is it okay/acceptable to perform an initiation ceremony for the same person more than once?
I'm looking for some info on initiation rituals. I'm new to Satanism and as i understand it, initiation is not exactly necessary. I will probably call myself a Satanist regardless but please give me your opinions/insight into initiation. If I will preform something, it will be on Halloween.
