I tried lightlifes smart dogs a few years ago and hated them.
After a few people commenting how good they are, I said f it. I'll try them again.
And boy oh boy, it was like eating a hot dog as a kid again. It's getting really strange how many non meat products are so realistic these days.

What the actual hell happened to Lightlife Smart Dogs?
My husband buys me a package every week (they're my favorite after-work quick snack) but this week the package has changed and the contents are actual garbage. They're wetter than they should be, the mouthfeel is like eating cold pasty shit, and they practically fall apart when you pick them up. It's not like they're even all that cheap, either. What a huge bummer and I don't know what to do with the remaining 7.5 dogs. Booooooooo Smart Dogs, BOOOOOOOO.
Update: we cut one into medallions and air fried them, then added them to mac and cheeze. This seems to have fixed the texture. The taste is still kinda off.

does anyone else have issues digesting beyond meat/lightlife??
I ate a beyond burger last night for dinner and I still feel like there is a rock in my stomach. I also have this issue with lightlife, just to a lesser extent. I haven't even been really able to eat today as I just feel full and bloated. does anyone else feel this way after eating beyond or other similar products? I eat very clean and little to no processed food...perhaps that could be why?
edit: I have a gluten intolerance (and ate it on a gf bun) so it couldn't be from that either.

Impressed by Lightlife Smart Bacon
Just tried Lightlife's Smart Bacon and I have to say I was thoroughly impressed (enough to make me post this). When fried to a crisp I think most would have a difficult time telling this from the real thing, both the texture and taste were spot on in my opinion. So if you're looking for a bacon substitute I'd recommend giving this a shot.

They make tempeh, bacon, crumbles... this doesn’t seem as processed as other brands and has never upset my stomach like other brands have before (gardein for example). What are your thoughts? I have to mix up my diet in other ways because eating tofu all the time just won’t cut it.

I’m not sure if this is a sale or price error. Normally the Lightlife Sausages sell for $5.97 to $6.97 each. Might have seen them on sale for $3.97 in the past.
Have never tried them before but if I can get 2 packs for $1.99, might give it a try.
