A list of puns related to "Lidocaine"
Anyone else have the experience in which lidocaine patches are useful on certain parts of the body and give moderate relief but if you go to the dentist and they try to numb your gums it doesnβt work AT ALL?
I canβt figure out why this is.
I'm doing my throat in a few weeks and wanted to see what others have experienced. I think the part I'm looking forward to least is over the adams apple, feel like that will suck.
Also wanted to get people's thoughts on using lidocaine and what kind of experiences you've had with that. I have my chest, full sleeve, hand, all knuckles, side of fingers, and leg done. Never used any numbing cream before but let's be real here, getting tattooed kinda sucks.
If anyone has some insights on either topic or both I'd love to hear it!
But counting makes you number.
First off not blaming the Dr, wasn't his fault the medication didn't work, secondly not posting this for sympathy just hoping it helps someone else.
So I have had local anesthetic before (novacaine) and had to get multiple shot when getting fillings. I never really thought much of it because well don't know what level of pain is expected with something as simple as a local anesthetic. I have done body modification ie tattoos, brands, and pieces so I have a decent pain tolerance. However with that said the lidocaine did not work at all for my vasectomy, I felt everything! Out of everything I've done and injuries I've sustained that shit is right up there near the top, especially the Handheld cautery that was used to make the four cuts on both sides of vas deferens. I told the Dr I felt everything, he gave me another shot but it still didn't work. He mentioned though that he had just last week spoken to an anesthesiologist about locals not working on people. specifically a high number of gingers have a resistance to both lidocaine and novacaine, and the anesthesiologists said to use mepivicaine. Unfortunately my urologist did not have it on hand and well I wanted to get it done.
Tldr: If you have had problems getting numb with lidocaine or novacaine and want a vasectomy tell your urologist during your consult and ask about other local anesthetic options they offer ie mepivicaine.
My Domme and I are going to a fetlife event in a few days. However, I am still undergoing a punishment (denial, no touching). It may or may not be the case that I could be playing around with other women on the night. Normally not a problem as long as I get permission from my domme infront of all involved parties. However, she doesn't want me to break the terms of my punishment. A compromise that's she's willing to accept is using lidocaine cream inside my condom so that I can't feel anything. It still allows me to participate in any potential play but I just wouldn't get to enjoy my dick. Neither of us really know if it's safe though. The cream at the pharmacy is 5% and when I use it on my skin it goes totally numb. Does anyone know if it's safe to use on the penis?
Hello, so I went to my best friend's clinic, she is a medical doctor and she does esthetic medicine, she does my botox and she is very good (no bruising, no redness and excellent results). I trust her with my life as I know her since we were 12.. But for today's proceedure she applied lidocaine/tetracaine topic cream and I had an allergic reaction.. i didnt know I was allergic as I dont have any other allergies..
She literally close her clinic to watch me because my forehead went red and numb and I got hot flashes.. then kind of pale.. and she observed me until all was well, we did do the botox after a few hours when the redness went away and I felt better. (I am not allergic to botox as i have done it before and I didnt want to waste the vial or leave scared)..
She wants to see me tomorrow too.. Now that I am home I started feeling really insecure and kind of scared.. what could have happened? I was going to try and do fillers that have lidocaine in them.. this could have gone badly..
Since this subreddit frequently suggests botox/fillers (and I wholeheartedly approve of it..) I felt it was important to share & kind of let it off my chest a bit.. that we should at least consider that allergies are a thing and so are side effects. I know this may be written kind of oddly.. english is not my native language and I am kind of shaken. But please, had she not been a MD/at a clinic.. i dont know how bad this could have gone. Please do your due dilligence.
I found a listing for 1% and 2% " Roxicaina" (xylocaine supposedly) vials on eBay. Is this legal? Would this product be safe to use (I don't want to use this specific product, or anything available on eBay, but am curious about this and why its allowed to be sold on eBay.) It appears to be a import from Columbia from a company called Ropsohn.

I do however have an interest in acquiring a local anesthetic (not topical) for emergency use (in a major disaster where medical care is nonexistent (sutures)). I realize that "research" is no replacement for formal education. But I am not the kind of person to perform my own surgery or try to treat my own infections because I realize that will result in a more major medical condition. I do not recommend anyone doing their own surgical or medical work, that is dangerous!
So lidocaine sprays work for me. Last night I took Viagra 2 hours before sex and I applied 7 sprays of promescent 15 mins before. I was able to fuck for good 5 mins with no worry about comming then I did some DATY and put on condom with some delay spray in it and went for about another 5 mins then I started going flaccid so got some BJ like 10 mins then I fucked raw in CG and Doggie total of 10 mins. I was very happy.
So the question if the lidocaine sprays then does it still mean that I will get Pelvis floor exercises like reverse kegels and kegels or I may not because it is sensitive related?
So I had a prescription sent to my pharmacy for a lidocaine cream to apply to my port area before treatments to make the stick a little more bearable. I don't think it's particularly awful to begin with but everyone says it helps, especially since I'm still experiencing some tenderness with my port. The catch is I can't get my insurance to cover this for the life of me, even with the help of my doctor. I know there are cheaper options than the $50 one waiting for me at the pharmacy. Does anyone have any recommendations on a lidocaine cream or spray that they're using that's essentially over the counter? Something I can get on Amazon or elsewhere?
I went to see a new neurologist. He wants to inject my neck with lidocaine in three treatments. He also prescribed a really old drug butabarbital (sic) is he a quack?
For those who have used lidocaine before to help with dilating what type/brand did you use? Iβm based in the US if that matters.
Has anyone heard about this? My pain doc is prescribing this and I was wondering if anybody had any success with this?
This is probably a stupid question, but I could not find info on why it would not work. I can find some studies saying it is effective for chronic pain, but what about using a much higher dosage, perhaps to the point of unconsciousness? This way you would be 100% sure somebody does not feel pain, as opposed to for example propofol, which is not analgesic.
I got my wisdom teeth extracted three days ago and the pain at night is preventing me from sleeping. I got a few bottles of viscous lidocaine for my throat a while back when I had mono, anyone know if I could gently swish this to relieve my extraction pain?
Are there any tips that anyone could give for this? I feel like Iβm dying
Objective: To purpose of this experiment is to quantify lidocaine present in a urine sample. This is achieved by running gas chromatography. There are a number of standards made from a s.
Iβm getting a tattoo and using a product called hush for numbing and this is working far better than anything Iβve ever used before itβs a bit more on the pricey side but I think it could be worth it electrolysis
Iβve gotten soooo many fillings in my life (unfortunately) so Iβm very used to them, but this is the first time Iβve had lingering pain for a week from a filling. As soon as the dentist injected me with the lidocaine I felt a shot of pain that was very abnormal. I think she may have hit a nerve. I had another filling the same day on the opposite side and donβt have this issue there.
My jaw hurts and the gum is also sensitive. Iβm worried this may be a lasting issue. If it was just nicked by a needle, can it repair on its own? I donβt think anything has been getting worse since it happened but itβs not been healing quickly either.
My normal dentist has another person on staff and I had this other dentist once and thought she did a bad job with my filling then. I requested to not have her when I made this appointment but I had to reschedule and I guess I forgot to make that same request again. Iβll be really pissed if this was something she couldβve easily avoided.
23f, 135lb, 5'4", white. Was just informed in the ER that I'm lidocaine resistant, which explains a lot of dentist trips I've had in the past being excruciating. Why is that though?
I cannot for the life of me find a clear answer on this. I know lidocaine degrades latex, but for non-latex condoms, is it okay to use? Specifically, we use the SKYN brand which is polyisoprene. Because the SKYN brand also sells their own lidocaine spray, Iβm almost inclined to believe that itβs fine with polyisoprene, but not without confirmation.
if it matters we purchased the KY duration spray, not the SKYN one. my boyfriend did no research before buying, i wouldβve told him to get benzocaine.
Is it fine to use the nifedipine and lidocaine oitment for more than a week ( 3 time a day ). If yes...then how long once can use them for ? Thanks in advance
Hi all, just wanted to report in. I have had sciatic pain for about 10 months now but 2 months ago I started receiving weekly injections of lidocaine. I think it has helped a lot. Figured I would mention it here as I've gotten a lot of good info from you all as well.
Iβve had ketamine infusions, and Iβve mentioned here that they only worked for about a month at best. That was eight years ago. Does anyone have reason to believe theyβve changed in any way since then? Administration, ingredient? Are ANY insurance companies covering them?
Also, Iβve seen the term lidocaine infusions for CRPS II? Has anyone here had success with those? Is the expense comparable to that of ketamine? So many questions! If I could get a couple of answers from my fellow warriors, I would be so grateful.
I was diagnosed with dyspareunia and prescribed lidocaine three years ago and hadn't made any progress until this year because it felt like such an archaic option. I don't want to step on any toes because I know that some people have had great success with it, but it ultimately made me resistant towards treating what was actually vaginismus because it just made me feel like I was supposed to sacrifice my own pleasure so I could numb myself into a fleshlight for my partner.
If you are having a severe outbreak ask your doctor for lidocaine! It will save your life I got a whole box of 24 and I have Medicaid, it took the pain away instantly and Iβm pretty sure itβs gonna feel even better once itβs been on there for more than 30 minutes
Bless whoever made lidocaine
