Cooking with peppery milky (Lactifluus piperatus)?
I absolutely love spicy food. Last season I found a few peppery milkies and was absolutely blown away by how spicy they are... the latex especially (I only taste tested them in the field).
So has anyone tried cooking with them? I read that they taste pretty unpleasant, but that people will dry them and use them as a pepper substitute? Anyone have any experience with these guys? I would love to be able to incorporate them into some dishes and still retain the incredible spiciness.

Lactifluus volemus? Growing from the ground near mixed hardwood, central Wisconsin. Latex was tasteless. Odor is somewhat fishy.
