I'm interested in monsplasty and simple release with no UL, vaginectomy, or implants. I just want my anatomy to be higher from the monsplasty and more movable from the simple release.
My main concern is that I'll lose a large portion of my labia minora, which I would rather keep attached to my bottom growth. Is it possible to leave it attached if I have a simple release? Would the surgeon be able to access the ligament with that skin still present?
I might be in a minority here, but I am actually a pretty big fan of labia minora, and I am wondering just how much room for choice there is in the matter of labia minora, given a mixed PI/ PPT surgery (vaginal entrance with penile skin, deeper with peritoneal tissue)? I would like defined minora, ideally of the sort that exceed majora bounds, but i am not sure if this is something I can ask for, or even a reasonable hope... Help?
My Bartholin’s cyst burst Sunday night and this was my second one... Same exact side but since I’ve gone through it once, I was able to anticipate the pain.... my question is does anyone else’s labia minora swell up? Is it still swollen because there’s still stuff to squeeze out? Do you normally squeeze the swollen labia minora? This happened to me the first time as well but now curious whether it’s swollen because we need to keep squeezing... please let me know and thank you in advance. I've been having what I think are yeast infections for almost 3 years now (I'm not sure because my doctor said I didnt test positive for yeast when I got a swab) . I told my doctor that they havent gone away even though I've tried canesten, boric acid, baking soda sitz baths and pretty much anything I can think of and she said to try nothing for a while and see if it gets better. The itching did stop for a while, though my labia minora gets swollen still whenever I touch it and I do get some yeast like discharge every now and again. After my last period though, I started itching again and there is definitely more discharge, after months of being relatively fine. I also had some weird pains on my labia like the painful pimples I sometimes get near my inner thighs and about a day ago, i noticed that i seem to have a new fold on my left side below my clitoris. Is this normal? I am 23, never been sexually active, and I have no idea what this could be. I'll talk to my doctor is it doesnt go away by the end of the week but until then, I'd like to know what this might be
Edit: its not really a fold, its more like a raised line that's slightly firm and swollen. It's not a different color than my labia, theres no cuts that I can see, its it's not really painful, just kind of tender. It feels like how those painful pimples on the inner thighs feel when they first start forming

Has anyone had a biopsy taken from their labia minora or under their clitoral hood? Do they numb the area or just cut a piece off? I’m so nervous and don’t do well with pain down there but my first week of imiquimod has me in a lot of pain and it burns to pee.
I’m at the point where I know I will never know for sure unless I get a biopsy since mine don’t look like normal warts. I don’t know if my spots are warts, vestibular papillomatosis, or cancer at this point. (Pic on profile if anyone is comfortable looking)
So I noticed a bump right when the labia minora starts, around the height of the clit. It slightly hurts and when I checked in a mirror it looked the same color as the rest of the labia, only a bit shiny. It's not very big but it isn't tiny either.
I haven't shaved in quite a long time and haven't had any sexual relationships in like two months, and only with my boyfriend. (We're in a LDR for anyone wondering).
Should I be worried?

I (19f) have been struggling with extreme insecurity about the size of my labia minor for years. I know I’m super young, but it has always been in the back of my mind and immensely hinders my confidence. I don’t have that picture perfect “pornstar” aesthetic vagina, and the insecurity has gotten so bad to the point where I don’t let people go down on me anymore.
It’s not just with sexual situations either, though. I get discomfort wearing certain pants or when I’m working out which is frustrating because I’m an athlete.
It also makes it more difficult to feel completely hygienic all the time. Of course I keep proper hygiene and all that, but I just feel like there’s a lot of extra “fluff” in the way that makes it more difficult to do daily tasks, hygienic included.
I also get insecure with certain bathing suits and I just don’t feel attractive a lot of the time. I know I may just be overanalyzing it, but I’ve seriously considered labiaplasty within the next few years because it mentally and physically bothers me so much.
I know I shouldn’t base my decision on what a guy thinks about girls’ vaginas, but I guess I’m also trying to gauge some perspective and see if I have a reason for being insecure? Do they care? Have you ever experienced a man who cares?
I’m not asking for the picture perfect appearance I described earlier, but I genuinely think I will be happier and MUCH more confident if I go through with labiaplasty within the next few years (when I have the money, that is). I feel it will help me with my confidence, comfort, and practicality. But I don’t know. What do you think?
Ok I just noticed what I think is a skin tag on my labia minora, near the posterior fold. I recently started indoor cycling classes which could be the cause, but then again google tells me it could be so many things. It’s maybe like 1/3 of an inch long and thin. It’s just kinda hanging onto the outer skin. It’s not painful or discolored. Has anyone experienced anything similar?!? Any input and advice is much appreciated.
Hello everyone. This is an issue that's been occurring for years, although it used to be much less frequent. It happens every month or so now. My labia minora (mostly on the right side) will randomly get irritated and itchy. Of course, I scratch it, because I have no self control. The scratching wry quickly leads to swelling. The swollen skin will feel hard. It goes back to normal after a few hours, but it's very uncomfortable.
What could cause this? I feel crazy because I can't find anything similar online.
I don't think these other symptoms are related, but I thought I'd mention it, considering the location of the symptoms.
My labia is jagged. I don't know how else to describe it. It's more noticeable on the right side, but the left is affected too.
Sexual intercourse is always painful. I feel it mostly at my vaginal entrance, but I also feel it deeply sometimes too. My boyfriend says that I'm squeezing him so hard that it even hurts him. After a few minutes, it starts to burn a lot. This has been going on for over 2 years.

One side is shorter than my majora, an “innie”, the other hangs out a bit at the right angles. Probably would hang more if I were fitter. I recently saw a chart about different vaginas which was awesome but didn’t cover exactly what I have which is fine but it lead me to ask this because I’m wondering if this is a thing people often have or if it’s rare. Some times it feels like my left and right sides of my body grew completely different. My left leg is apparently shorter than the other. I have less fat on my left side than my right, etc.

I’ve googled it and apparently it’s a forcyde spot but I’m still worried. Should I go to a GUM clinic? :(
Hello, for a few days now I have had a swollen labia minora, it doesn’t itch it’s just kinda sore and big/swollen and irritated I’ve never had this issue before It’s painful when I move or urinate 23 years old if it matters
I’m gonna come out and say immediately that I’m 100% positive this isn’t any part of my normal anatomy. They’re hundreds of tiny white spots, and they look exactly like bacterial colonies growing in agar, even down to a streak of them that deadass looks like someone ran a swab over a Petri dish and left it to incubate for a bit. They don’t look like chicken skin or anything like that, they’re totally flat and don’t seem to extend beyond the surface of the skin.
I’m not in any pain or discomfort, there’s next to zero chance of this being an STD, I doubt it’s lichen sclerosis due to me being 20, and I’ve got a Mirena IUD and PCOS for hormone weirdness. There’s no weird smell either.

I got a clitoral good reduction, labiaplasty, and vaginoplasty on May 10th. It’s 3 weeks after surgery, and I know I’m supposed to wait the full 6 weeks to heal. But I have pretty much no swelling now and am concerned my right labia minora was completely amputated. I have maybe one centimeter of labia minora on my left side, but absolutely none on my right. It’s just the entrance to my vagina. I also have very sharp pains when anything touches said right side, and sometimes even when I sit down, but it’s located right where I’m indicating, where the lack of my right labia minora is. Is this normal? Has anybody else experienced things like this or had a similar experience? I consented to a labia trim. We never spoke about a “Barbie” look; being on this forum is actually the first place I’ve heard of it. My doctor always stressed to me that labia minora serves a purpose and it was not medically okay to amputate. I also believe that if you’re born with labia minora, and want a labiaplasty, that some labia should be left, if even very minimal. If you’re born with it, your body needs it. I’m concerned that this is going to make me more prone to infections, as labia minora helps protect from that and I have a very sensitive body. Can anybody tell me if they’ve experienced anything similar and what they did? I’m so lost. I have nobody to talk to about this topic and my surgeon has seen me so much since surgery (regarding other things) that I have to wait the 6 weeks time frame to see him for any cosmetic concerns.

It happened about a year ago and the swelling would subside but now it's significantly worse. https://ibb.co/album/gj2Jmn I'm unsure if it's vulvitis or what - about two years ago I nicked myself on that labia shaving which became infected and turned into a cyst, which popped and drained on its own (I'm in the medical research field so I know how tdo wound care). A year later, the whole labia swolle up. It doesn't feel like there is a hard growth in there but rather that there is just a lot of edema. There is a part of the labia that is dry and rough now too but idk if that's like scar tissue from the nick or what. It's currently painful and discomforting, pain is maybe a two on the pain scale. And before you say anything I'm calling my obgyn tomorrow to make an appointment. I just wanted a more rapid feedback or possible ddx because we are having limited appointments here due to covid. I'm sexually active with my monogamous boyfriend, we were both tested within the last couple of years for Sti's and neither of us have any.

Is the labia minora supposed to be a little bumpy like the skin around the nipples or the tongue? I can't tell if my labia minora just has bumpy texture because of the nature of the skin or if I have actual bumps like fordyce spots. My bumps aren't very visible, but it feels similar to chicken skin when stretched out. Are smooth labia minoras a thing? I don't know what a normal texture of labia is supposed to feel like.
I went a whole day without applying my betamethasone cream and now my labia minora (the upper part towards the clit hood) is swollen, red and sore to the touch. Is this because I didn’t use my cream for a day since I’ve been using it since my problems began in the beginning of March? Am i gunna have to use it for the rest of my life? I thought my worst problems were behind me. Could this just be inflammation caused by my pelvic floor dysfunction? I’m so drained.
Found a small cyst on my labia majora. It is not Bartholin's cyst because it is an inch upwards from the duct. It’s deep under the flap of the labia minora on the right and you can some what see it from both sides. It is sensitive and painful to the touch but does not have a white head yet to allow for draining. It has been about a week and seems to get more sore and painful everyday.
Has anyone else also experienced this? I had a similar one on the left side but went away on its own. Now it has happened in the right but seems more intense. How can I get this to go away? I have tried hot water soak every day for the last 4 days. Tried going commando and letting air in...not wearing tight clothes...drinking a lot of water... everything basically that a quick Google search tells you to do.
Will it disappear on its own? Is there a treatment I can do at home? Should I find a doctor to talk to about it (I’d rather not have to spend that money if it’s unneeded)?

45F, 5'7", 150 lbs. I developed a small cyst, the size of a pea, probably over a year ago. But as it didn't hurt, even if squeezed lightly, I'd forget about it. My obgyn didn't seem concerned and said I could have it removed if I wanted to. It might resolve on its own. Try hot compresses. Stuff like that.
I did that for a while with no improvement and eventually forgot about it again.
Then yesterday I realized the cyst has grown double in size and became sore to the touch. Pressure definitely hurts from sitting and walking. I feel constant irritation just from my clothing.
I called the doctor's office to ask about having it removed. The surgical coordinator is supposed to call me back. I'm still waiting.
Is there anything I can do? I can't be sitting in a hot bath all day. I'm not looking forward to the medical expense but this is very uncomfortable.
I would like to know how are typically the labia minora created with the suporn technique and in general the aesthetics of the vulva that surgeons at the Suporn Clinic generally produce, I have seen some very good results on the wiki, but I would like to have an aesthetic specific (somewhat large, natural and non-tubular labia minora, more like a curtain shape: thin, delicate and wrinkled, and a very defined clitoral hood) and I don't know if they can give it to me in an initial surgery (although I wouldn't mind returning for a revision surgery but I would prefer to have it all in a surgery), I have a question: Is it true that during the surgery consultation they allow you to give creative freedom of how you want the future vulva to be? I noticed whenever I am cleaning down there I have a white line on one side of my labia minora(near the outer fold of my vulva). I wiped it with a q-tip thinking it was a one time thing but it keeps coming back. I only have this problem on one side and it has been reoccurring. Could it be some sort of outer yeast infection in one area? I am due for an appointment soon but I would just like to know what it could be so I can bring it up to them as well.
I have gone to the doctor several times for vaginal odor, no itching. It is not fishy and more sweet, but not a good smell. The first time they found a yeast infection and gave me medication for it. The second time I went in, they said the yeast infection was gone. They also ruled out a lot of other stuff like BV but they did mention I had a lot of white blood cells which could indicate an allergy to something. I had another doctor's appt and they did a pap smear and found nothing wrong. I have been dealing with a very sensitive and irritated vagina. I can't even put a tampon in without feeling uncomfortable. So my boyfriend took a look at it and found that the inside of my labia minora has a red rash on it, and it looks like it is spreading into the vagina. No bumps or anything, just redness. It does not itch. So my only symptoms are discomfort when inserting something inside my vagina, a slight burning sensation whenever I pee (because I am assuming getting the rash wet is causing a reaction), and the weird smell. For more context, I do have breakouts of eczema. I don't use soap down there. It could be my shampoo, maybe my laundry detergent. I mostly wear cotton underwear, but I sweat a lot (hyperhidrosis), so that could be fueling whatever is happening down there.
I use an electric razor and I must have nicked myself and not noticed. I just noticed it now after I wiped. I looked down there and there’s a small cut on my labia minora that really hurts if I touch it/wipe. What should I do for this? Should I leave it alone or do I put something on it/do something? I seldom get lesions here, but when I do, my hatred for this condition hits its peak. I've had one that's been there a solid three days now and while it's drained a bit, it hasn't gotten any smaller. I usually use Vick's but that is obviously not possible in this case lmao, so any ideas?
Warning, slightly graphic description. The other day I felt an itch on my vulva so I went to itch it and felt a lump in the process. Upon inspecting it it looked like a pea sized pocket of pus deep in the skin, near the top of my labia minora to the right of my clitoral hood, kinda nestled between folds. I have great hygiene and regularly go commando around the house so not sure how this happened. I was morbidly fascinated and ended up popping it. Some pus came out, I cleaned it, and now it’s been a few days and it’s still at its original pea size. It’s certainly not getting worse but I suspect I delayed healing by popping it. Should I go to the OBGYN about this, or are there are other things I should be doing at home? Please help!
My surgery is just for the labia minora. No majora or hood reduction. However, he is trimming the excess skin over the clitoris. How was the healing process? Is there anything I should buy for recovery? They told me just to have frozen peas and carrots in a bag for swelling. I’m refusing any narcotics due to prior issues. Hello everyone This is kind of embarrassing. Still don’t have the hang of comfortably talking about this but... So yesterday I (21) had a really long bike ride (like two hours) and I noticed that I was uncomfortable on my seat. When I got home and took a shower I felt a tiny bump on my labia minora, at the top (right under the clitoris) on the right side. It’s under the skin and it’s sore when I touch it and it honestly feels the same as any pimple I’ve had, it’s smaller than a lentil. It’s kind of white on the top but it’s under the skin. It doesn’t itch or hurt when I leave it alone. Only when I touch it it feels uncomfortable. I had tests done for HPV and STDs 3 months ago which came back clear. I have one sexual partner who is my boyfriend.

Hello there, I have noticed little injuries inside the upper part of my labia minora, close to the clitoris. It looks like it has cracked , but it does not look more red, or actually injured. I also have little lumps, about 1-2 mm big, and I cannot tell if they are "additional" skin, or somehow "got out of" the actual skin. I usually do not watch myself down there, but I had candida and burning urination, and although the itching resolved I still had painful urination, but not from the "inside" but more externally. So I thought it might be that the urine irritates a wound and that is when I found these. Urinating does not hurt that much anymore so maybe things are starting ti resolve? Maybe these things have been there all along but I just never inspected them. Is this a big deal, should I see a gynaecologist? Also, I have been abstaining from sex for more than a month, is it possible to do it this weekend if things do not hurt?

Yesterday I had my groin lymph nodes painfully swollen in both sides and I got fever in the evening. Throughout the day my labia minora started swelling and being very sensitive to touch. Today the fever is gone but the lymph node and swollen labia pain is still there.
This is happening to me now, but it also happened back in November 2020. The first time it happened I was checked by three medical professionals and none of them knew what it could be. One of them ordered a series of tests that i never did because of money. Another one gave me corticoids that i took for a few days. The swelling and the pain were gone in about 4 days.
Could this be serious? I'm very worried that it's happening again.
Ps: when it happened in November 2020, i hadn't had sex since February 2020. Now I'm having regular sex again with the same and only partner I've ever had sex with.
The last couple weeks when my husband and I have had sex my skin gets irritated. I don’t usually notice until I shower and the water gets on it. And it burns! I don’t know why this is happening all of a sudden. It takes a few days for it to not be irritated. We aren’t any rougher then we have been before. We use lube. Am I just not using enough? Or what could be different? Maybe with winter my skin is dryer and more sensitive. Any insight would be great!
Does the labia minora have a light red / pink color to it normally? I’ve been battling with aerobic vaginitis and I have seen it VERY red but now it’s settled into an all over lighter red. I didn’t look at my vagina before this so I don’t know what a “healthy” shade is?
Hello! About 4 years ago I (22F) was told by my doctor that he thinks I have LS due to white patchy, very dry and itchy skin. He didn’t say I for sure had LS because I was too scared to do a biopsy, he prescribed me clobetasol and I’ve been using it since then! My skin is fine, no more white patches, dryness or itchiness. However over the past 4 years I have been taking pictures to compare how my skin has changed and I noticed that my labia minora (right side) is shrinking!!!! Is this normal and is there anything I can do about it?

17F was at my house last night, said she noticed some itchiness and burning pain in her vagina area. She ignored it for a short period of time and when she went to the bathroom to check it out, she saw it was massively swollen and angry red. She called me in to look at it and I was aghast.
Her labia minora was massively swollen, very red and bulgy/angry/tight looking and protruding at least 1.5” below her body and also very very thick (wide?). She reports typically that her labia minora is thin and very close to being flush with her body typically so she was very frightened when she saw it, hence why she called on me for a look and advice. She knows I’m willing to be here for her, in confidence, regarding health and safety and won’t tell her parents. I had her rinse with a cup of water and pat dry and gave her a pair of loose fitting underwear and sweats to wear.
I asked a lot of questions and I’ll try and sum that up here. She is sexually actively, always uses protection. Last partner was 10 days ago. No symptoms prior to this happening beyond mild itchy and burning pain. Never experienced anything like this before. She is certain it was presenting typical until this happened and went from typical to terrible in 30 minutes or less. No new detergents, soaps, feminine products, underwear, lube or condoms. No discharge or odor noted by her, now or in the last week or two. No symptoms at all actually reported by her in the last week or two that she could recall. She did say it burns more than it itches and was only mildly itchy when she first noticed different sensations in that area. She has a pretty regular and unremarkable cycle with spotting on occasion in between. Her cycle ended 3 days prior to this happening.
One side is more swollen than the other although both sides are definitely very very swollen. She said she can feel that she’s swollen just inside her vaginal opening as well. She said it feels like it’s going to explode and to be honest, it looks like it.
She is unable to tell her parents and unable to even ask for a doctor appointment for generic reasons. I am willing and able to get her to a doctor ASAP and take care of billing and let her use my mailing address so it can be kept

I’ve been experiencing crazy itching on my vulva especially my clit, the opening of my vagina and the cracks between my labia majora and labia minora. Now the itching is 95% gone and the skin isn’t really dry and cracked anymore but i’m left with this light brown eraser crumb/shavings like stuff whenever i wipe after using the bathroom. And the crumbs only start to appear in the morning after i shower last night. I know for sure it isn’t cause my vagina is “dirty” cause i clean it very well every time i’m in the shower. And it’s not discharge i don’t think? Since it’s not coming out of my vagina but the cracks between my both lips. What could it be? Let me know if it’s happened to you before please.
