So I got told off for making a Link post for my Snoo'Koz costume, so I'll repost it here

First off Vel'koz needs a buff; his winrate is hard-inflated by mains (Vel'Koz players have one of the highest average # of games played on their champion). And once you restrict champ winrates to mains, his winrate is lower than champs that are gutted for pro-play, like Azir, Ryze, and Orianna. Case in point, diamond+ champion winrates, using only data from players with 50+ games on a champion:

Vel'koz has the fourth-lowest one-trick winrate in mid, above only Lissandra, Ziggs, and Syndra.
There is literally no way any buff can possibly make him more ban worthy than any meta champion like Sylas, when his current ban-rate is 0.22% (1 in every 500 games!!) despite being flexed into 2 roles. He is literally not considered a threat, and if he gets buffed and people start jumping onto the Vel'Koz bandwagon, his winrate will probably go down anyways since he won't be played just by mains anymore.
Vel'koz struggles in the mid-lane because he has no real counterplay to survive getting jumped on, other than burning one or both summoner spells. Whereas almost all other mid-laners have some sort of agency:
- Sylas has a dash, CC, and increased lifesteal at low health
- Zed has dash and intangibility
- Akali has shroud
- Katarina can dash to minions, gets movespeed from dropping a dagger, and a second dash after picking up the dagger she dropped
- Yasuo has passive shield and windwall
- Yone has shield, and Ult for Dash and/or CC
- LB has dash and invisibility
- Vlad has pool and lifesteal
- Viktor has shield, CC field
- Anivia has egg passive
- ...you get the idea.
If Vel'koz gets engaged on by an assassin while his summs are down, he just dies lol. He has no reliable self-peel or defensive ability, and thus against a competent melee engage (who knows to dodge a tiny ground circle with 0.75 seconds of startup lag), his kit offers no agency.
I don't believe in straight-up decreasing his E startup, since that probably shoehorns him into Support even harder than he already is. I don't believe in increasing his base health/resistance stats either, since, again, that would shoehorn him further into being a Support.
Now I think a reasonable route would be to give him better scaling health or resistance. This would primarily benefit Vel'Koz mid and would help him transition better into mid/late game. I think this is a not a bad idea at a

I am an M7 Vel'Koz looking for a Xerath to climb in Gold Elo. My OP.GG can be found here. My Vel'Koz WR this season isn't amazing, but S2020 is much better :)
I believe this kind of bot lane can be amazing at climbing in this elo for the following reasons:
- Great synergy between Vel & Xerath. The slow of hitting Vel Q is without saying great for hitting the rest of these two champs' abilities. Chaining CC is also really easy once enemy is slowed or stunned by Xer E/Vel E.
- The amount of poke makes it hard for the enemies to play
- Small missteps by the enemy can lead to easy kills
Some requirements:
- Mastery 7
- Patient playstyle. We are mages with no mobility, we wait for missteps and destroy healthbars
- Good english
- Not easily tilted and no flame in game towards other players, regardless of situation
Like the title says, I am Gold 2 on EU West. Preferrably we have a chat, play 1-2 normal games and then seeing what we can do in ranked :)
According to lolalytics.com, Galeforce Vel'koz has a 0.01% pickrate and a 0% winrate. Meanwhile, his winrate is only 40% if he builds Kraken Slayer. And though his AP build is within balancing thresholds, we could increase his AD ratios and on-hit effectiveness, in order to make his AD build viable as well.
Suggested changes:
Q: Add 100% AD scaling and 100% on-hit effectiveness
W: Add 40% AD scaling to each proc
R: Each tick of damage does 25% AD scaling, plus 50% on-hit effectiveness.
These modifications should help bring AD Vel'Koz in line and improve build diversity. The potential benefits make this a more urgent change than buffing champions like Zac or Trundle. Thank you.
I recently played an ARAM and spawned as this terrifying monstrosity, Vel'Koz without any tentacles or eyeball.

Everytime before queuing I use a black CASIO FX-991LAX-BK with an excel table open on a second screen with values for each champion matchups and their runes. I just add the values into one of my 7531 memorized formulas and get the right Q angle everytime.
What's your favorite setup scrubs- I mean, squids?
I've been playing him for a few years and he's never been the strongest character. But I've been able to have fun and maintain a decent W/L ratio... now, on a newly created smurf, I can't even win promo's to get into Gold. I've been high platinum previous years. He's just underpowered. I prefer mid but do sup and mid.
Right now he's 5th worst ranked win rate with support in the game, and like 12th worst ranked win rate mid. I'm not talking about him being 5th worst support playing support. I'm talking 5th worst in the game, period, at support. Even non support characters have a better win rate. It's ridiculous.
It has me so frustrated I think I'm going to stop playing league. He just is not competitive on a normal basis.
So since Vel'koz is broken, each game at least 2 person goes for it. One puts the vel'koz to left corner, one puts it to right. Should I just put my carries and supports to middle?

None of you will know me, as I come from the faraway land of Bard mains, and even there nobody really knows me.
However, I have come on a mission. I plan to find the most hated champ to play against, from the perspective of various different champion mains, OTPs, or just players in general. Over the next few weeks I will be working to send a survey to each individual champions subreddit, then compile them once I find that I have collected enough data. The compilation of surveys and results will then be submitted to the official League of Legends subreddit, for the community to take a closer look at.

Been doing vel'koz bot with my braum support friend and its just silly how oppressive it is. Hiding behind braum's shield as adcs like fortune or ashe try to do anything helpful to their team, meanwhile my q chunks pokes them like an annoying 4th grader.
Highly reccomend doing this if you want to play velkoz but arent confidant in mid, or if both you and a friend play support. You put future market on him instead of biscuit, start mana crystal and get lost chapter within minutes of the game starting. So much fun
I apologize I do not have more information, and I've tried to research the book, but neither name came up through searching.
Would I get flamed or would I be a useless support for the adc if Iβm playing one of those as a support. And is it viable?
As an ass velkoz mid main who just recently hit M7 with 60k mastery at lvl 60. I absolutely hate everything about fizz, like everything.
also any zed who knows what to do can just W recast and ult to basically oneshot...
and yone who out pokes me with the E Q W combo
