Isan Language Puns

I’ve been wondering this ever since I was young, as my Mom was Thai from a province in the Isan region and she grew up speaking Lao at home; as I child, I picked up some of her dialect as well in addition to Thai through both her lessons as well as through hearing her speak it to other people. However, as an adult, whenever I encounter Laotian people from Laos their language is so different from what I hear from Thai people speaking the Isan dialect.

I wrote this discussion and analysis for the following groups of people:

(1) Those who are curious about "The Red Sleeve" because of the buzz and hype about the drama;

(2) Those who have watched "The Red Sleeve" and have become interested to know more about the lives and times of Yi San aka King Jeongjo, Royal Noble Consort Uibin Seong, King Yeongjo, Queen Jungsoon, Princess Hwawan, Hong Deok-ro, Lady Hyegyeong, etc;

(3) Those who have become interested in watching "Yi San" because of "The Red Sleeve" but are intimidated by its 77 episodes; and

(4) Those who love romance dramas but aren't fans of historical dramas.

If you belong to the 4th group, please do give "The Red Sleeve" and "Yi San" a chance. Hi everyone. I’m new to Canada. I moved here recently from a non-English speaking country. I want to practice my language skills, specifically speaking. Could somebody please recommend any place where I can talk to people in English? May be some debate club or volunteering somewhere.

I love dogs very much, so I wrote emails to all dog daycares around Downtown (where I live) hoping to get a volunteering position there. None responded positively, but I’m up for other opportunities :)

To which extent has there been a language shift towards Standard/Central Thai in the Northeast (Isan) and North ("Tai Yuan") among younger people?

For context I'm a Refuse Driver (Garbage man) & today I was on food waste. After I'd tipped I was checking the wagon for any defects when I spotted a lone pea balanced on the lifts.

I said "hey look, an escaPEA"

No one near me but it didn't half make me laugh for a good hour or so!

So, I spent my morning at work (Yes, slow morning @911 Dispatch!) compiling a list of Famicom and Disk System games that caught my attention from a master list on YouTube. Rather than emulating, or individually researching every game, I thought maybe I could crowd source and see if anyone had any input on how import friendly they may be. Many would be obvious... platformers and shooters are pretty easy to play in any language. But I am an RPG fan. Many of the RPGs in this video seemed to be in English... but I am thinking they may have been translations. So, if anyone can shed light on just how easy or hard some may be to play and navigate, that'd be appreciated! I would also be very interested in info on a rumor I have heard that you can actually easily re-write FDS and Famicom games with English translations with certain hardware?!

Apologies for any errors in spelling, and the general dishevelment of the list... it was hastily typed at certain points.

Also, if any of these games were available on the NES, please point it out! I am trying to buy games that were only released on the Famicom. With a few exceptions that may just be cheaper on the Famicom.
