A list of puns related to "Irvin"
2 HoF Players, a very good starting LB in Bruce Irvin, an Above average CB, making a trade for the key RB, all in one draft. Graded a F which has to be one of the funniest Draft Day r/agedlikemilk moments.
One of the best part:
>Pete Carroll is proving why he didnβt make it in the NFL the first time. Not only was Bruce Irvin a reach at No. 15, the Seahawks proved they were oblivious to their madness by celebrating their selection.
>
>As if the day wasnβt bad enough, Seattle selecting Russell Wilson, a QB that doesnβt fit their offense at all, was by far the worst move of the draft. With the two worst moves of the draft, Seattle is the only team that received an F on draft day.
The new Irvin card has a SS secondary, a position he never played in MLB, but did play 92 games in the Negro Leagues. With the Negro Leagues being official major league, we thought we might see some legends from there, but have yet to. But now, this is a specific acknowledgement.
Probably means nothing, and costs nothing to put a SS secondary on him, or anyone, thatβs their call, but the specific nod is interesting to me
Whoever at SDS made that moment at Polo Grounds against Mad Max and the Dodgers is a really swell human being. That took me ages

So I'm sure this isn't news to some of you, but this was complete news to me. I stumbled on this story when looking at an old reddit post talking about NFL stories that came out after they had happened.
When I first read about it my first thought was " oh man I knew he had a wild youth, but didn't know it was this bad. I wonder if this happened in High School or College". Turned out this happened in his 11th NFL season at 32 years old.
The story goes that Irvin got into a fight with Everett McIver, who was in his 5th year himself and most definitely not a rookie, because he didn't give up his barber chair in order for Irvin to jump the line for what Irvin perceived as his right with senoritey. Irvin stab wound came 2 inches from Mclver's carotid artery. Which means he was 2 inches away from possibly murdering someone. It was reported thatΒ Jerry Jones.Β immediately brokered a six-figure settlement between Irvin and McIver in exchange for McIver's silence and to prevent McIver from pursuing criminal charges against Irvin
I can't believe I've never heard this story before. I've heard the claims of cocaine use before, but this is MUCH worse. The fact that Irvin was able to go on and have a successful media career after this incident is amazing.
That sample is insanely beautiful and calming. Any recommendations that you people feel sound similar?
I've been watching replays of 2021 worlds and just watched a match featuring Jamil Hill-Taylor. And this is what prompted this post. Loyd Irvin shouldn't have students. He should be in jail. Any person who becomes his student is almost certainly knowingly and willfully brushing aside his transgressions and those of his former students in exchange for a place to live and train for free. That is disgusting.
I am so incredibly disappointed by the IBJJF's decision to allow his athletes to continue fighting in their events. I am extremely disappointed in the UFC's decision to allow LI's athletes to compete in their events. And I am extremely disappointed in all of those people who choose to be his students.
EDIT: There are clearly people here either affiliated with TLI or fans of LI. Just want you to know that if you fall into either category, you can go fuck yourself for supporting that piece of shit.

>Lloyd Irvin participated in the gang rape of a 17 year old girl at Hampton University in 1989. He was arrested and charged with rape. He was acquitted due to his testimony that he could not get hard enough to have sex with the victim. Multiple friends of his were convicted of the same rape and sent to prison. Lloyd Irvin fell through the cracks of the legal system in 1989, and there has been a pattern of sexual abuse surrounding him since.

The Pivot Parsons and Irvin talk with Fred Taylor, Ryan Clark and Channing Crowder. On and off field topics. They did this at Micahβs house
Kyrie is a part-time player, only able to play in roadside games, not home court. That's okay. There's a chance he may play tonight versus the Indiana Pacers. What can we expect from Kyrie Irving? All eyes will be on him on his return, and he's potentially going to shine.
What do we think his stats will be? What would he have to do to surprise you?
