I’d love to read a novelization of this play/movie. Is there any thriller book out there whose story is similar to Gas Light? Where one’s romantic partner plays with their mind and tricks them into mistrusting their thoughts, memories, and judgment? I’ve read Gillian Flynn’s Gone Girl but it’s not exactly what I’m looking for.
‘GASLIGHT’ is on Sunday morning at 8am on the Turner Classic Movie Channel. FORCE, with the threat of bodily harm, anyone who casually uses the term “gaslighting” to watch it! There is easily 99% of the population of this planet that has no fucking idea of what “gaslighting” actually is and it’s becoming a serious issue. Ironically, another popular trope is, “That word doesn’t mean what you think it does”.and, unlike that Morissette chick, this is an appropriate use of the word ‘ironic’. So, watch ‘Gaslight’, it’s a classic melodrama and well worth viewing for its own sake. But, this abuse of the term ‘Gaslighting’ is some fucked up shit. You know damned well if Darcey and/or Stacey use it.....it’s a ducks up mess of a situation!
