Inexpert Puns

My definitions of various roles, for ease of reference:

Interceptor: Mobile point defence fighter specialised in destroying enemy fightercraft, typically also capable of engaging enemy ships, albeit with low efficacy, and high casualties. Ex: Talon

Assault Fighter: Fighter designed specifically to engage ships, either on it's own or in support of bombers and allied ships. The latter variant tend to employ flares for PD distraction. Ex: Warthog, Broadsword

Bomber: Missile/Torpedo/Rocket distribution platform, with exceptional burst damage. Tend to have incredible (relative to other categories) survival rates due to not staying in proximity to their target.

Heavy (descriptor): Fighter with wings comprised of two or less craft, typically substantially more threatening than those in greater numbers, and with higher PD tolerance, but also much less redundant and physically larger, and consequently more vulnerable to anti-ship weaponry.

Wraith Drone Fighter (2 OP) (6 per wing)

The Wraith is the quintessential interceptor, cheap, numerous, and completely specialised in destroying enemy fightercraft. Wraiths hold absolutely no anti-ship weaponry, and as such are largely ineffective against even frigates, as they have no shield breaking weapons, or much anti-armour ones either for that matter. Even so, they could be useful for distraction and pressure if their frail nature didn't make extended engagements untenable. As it is, it's hard to justify the fighter slot they take up (On a proper carrier, that is. They're perfect for a warship), but there is no question that they are well worth their 2 OP cost, and are quite effective in a screening and support role. Their autonomous nature also assuages their ridiculous life expectancy, especially for those like me who attempt to be at least somewhat humane in their fighter pilot treatment.

Neriad Interceptor (4 OP) (4 per wing)

The Neriad is advertised as an interceptor, and while it holds true to many features associated with interceptors, like large numbers and high speed, it is largely ineffective at dealing with enemy fighters, and completely useless in the face of enemy missiles which, far from being intercepted, tend to be the major cause of Neriad casualties. However, they are exceptional assault fighters, effective in most any scenario, and with high survivability that allows them to maintain full fighting capacity against all but the most PD orien

Assuming AMD's 10/12nm (Global Foundries?) production can be cranked up, now is a golden opportunity for the underrated APUs like the 3200/3400g if they were marketed a bit harder.

They are a hidden gem... a fine solution to the practical problems that are creating the demand boom, except ~900p+ gaming.

A pre 7nm APU sale, deprives Intel of a 2/4 core sale, & Nvidia of a low end gpu (amd gpuS become competitive above this entry price point).

Even if ordering up big from Glofo involves some risk & margin cuts, it helps folks on waiting lists, swings them to the amd platform, and denies the enemy sustenance.

Yeah, so I found my newest Jinhao 992 in my 4 year old's hands with the tines BENT BACKWARDS. (This is why I buy cheap pens!) The nibs on this model are friction fit in the section so I was able to pull it out and bend it back into what looked like basically the right shape. After a couple adjustments, it writes pretty well again - sometimes it flows quite wet and sometimes it'll railroad on a particularly quick down stroke - but now it writes noticeably thicker on the down stroke than horizontal! It's like a narrow stub. Honestly, I like it even better than before!

The Baoer 801 he got his hands on, however, is definitely less smooth than before. Guess that means I need to find $6 and order a few more from Ebay! I can't really be mad at my kids for wanting to use my pens... I think they're fun, too.

Now I'm wondering... how young is too young for a fountain pen? What cheap pens have the most durable nibs?

The nurses will read to you a summary of all the studies that have been conducted about a particular medication (prescription or OTC) and provide you their advice based on that research.

It is also helpful to double-check when a provider tells you a medication is compatible with BFing. When I was 6 weeks postpartum, a CNA told me a steroid shot I had to get was fine for BFing (which he based on his knowledge that they gave those shots to pregnant moms). But some medications do not pass through the placenta but do pass into breast milk and vice versa. Thankfully, I checked with the InfantRisk Center and had enough stash to wait the recommended 24 hours and prevent any side effects for my son.

First thing in the morning, Barry begins preparing for his date with Leah. He takes the most intensive shower he's ever taken, scrubbing himself down three times. Then, he digs out a pair of scissors and carefully trims his beard into some semblance of tidiness.

Then, he spends an hour psyching himself up to go out without wearing his armor or gauntlets. He had really, really enjoyed touching Leah and being so close to her last night at the party, but he couldn't really feel her through his thick metal coating. He sits on his bed, staring at them, weighing the pros and cons of leaving them behind. He finally decides that if worse comes to worse, he'll just do the best he can.

He digs through his dresser, tossing clothes all over the place. Eventually, he comes up with a pair of khaki pants and a blue button-down t-shirt.

Putting them on, Barry finds that he's actually pretty happy with the way he looks, despite how uncomfortable he feels without his gauntlets on.

Finally ready, Barry quietly sneaks off the ship in order to avoid letting Chimp know that he'd left and having to get the little monster to stay behind.

He arrives at the area of the docks where he is supposed to meet Leah a full half-hour early, and stands in the middle of the path, nervously swinging his arms and tapping his feet.

I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.

Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.

My story with the MPA: I bough an auth Multi Pochette from the "By the Pool" Capsule Collection in Spring last year. I love this bag a lot, and wanted to get the Mono version with the pink strap as well (I am a sucker for everything pink). When I went to the LV boutique in Autumn last year (it was end of August, just a few days before another price increase), I inquired about the bag, but they told me, they didn't have it. I could however order a World Tour Multi Pochette which looks the same, just with stickers (you can only choose one in a hidden place if you don't like the patches, I was told). BUT, at that time, the World Tour version was about 250 EUR more, and I didn't see any point in paying that much, since the "normal" MPA is already expensive enough.This was honestly my moment when - after almost 20 years of buying only authentic LV!! - I decided to give reps a go, and after doing some research in this sub, I decided to go for Hyper Peter with my first rep!
