A list of puns related to "Incautious"
I messed up in the end of his story line and chose to remain neutral. After a few in game days I went to the Reserve in The Reach and failed the skill check and lost him forever. The Reach claims another innocent.
So, I made the wrong choices and my Driver ran off into the woods, never to be seen again. I've been looking into resetting them in my save file, but the information I found doesn't seem to work. I found this in a two-year-old thread:
"There is a lot of text in this file, so you will want to use whatever "find" feature your text editor may have. Search for ID# 137132.
You should see a bracketed string of text like this:
{"EffectiveLevel":400,"Level":400,"AssociatedQuality":{"Tag":"","Id":137132}}
Change the "400" value in that string to "75", i.e.:
{"EffectiveLevel":75,"Level":75,"AssociatedQuality":{"Tag":"","Id":137132}}"
But that hasn't changed anything. Anyone know of anything I can do to reset or revert the Driver in the save file itself?
Earlier Rounds: I
Round 2
Morning came in the form of fluorescent light. I hadn't shut my eyes the rest of the time that I was waiting, besides the occasional blinking that I couldn't control. After the failed break-in attempt of the other participant, it had been quiet. The sounds of torture from next door had shifted over to my mind instead. The surroundings were still. I would have been furious at myself for getting into this situation if I had any reliable memory of what had actually happened. The last thing I believe to remember is going to the bakery in the morning in a well-lit and lively street. The thought of that made my stomach rumble.
When the lights turned on, I believed it was our prompt that morning had arrived. After spending the last hours sitting on the floor opposite the door with nothing but a pen as a weapon, I finally got up and stretched my muscles out. Something would happen soon and I needed to clear my mind and body for it.
Just as if they'd been waiting for my cue, the door opened and the female researcher walked into my room, the door automatically closed behind her.
"Good morning," she said without a worry in the world to her tone. She really was proficient at acting neutrally.
What I had mistaken for politeness when I met her yesterday, really was a cold-hearted nonchalance. She wasn't afraid of me hurting her, she wasn't afraid that I could probably easily knock her out if I chose a good moment considering we were alone now behind a closed door. As if she knew that something inside of me prohibited me from doing anything. I was patiently waiting for her to break her act and show me what really was going on. After last night it was obvious that I couldn't be feeling okay with the situation. She had to know. Or possibly she believed that I was still in some sort of trance. Although it seemed improbable. They were far more calculating.
Even if there was someone waiting just outside the door, I was much taller and broader than her. I could probably smash the pen right through her eye. And the distraction of the pain and blood would give me a possibility to knock her out and somehow leave the door. Or take her hostage until they let me leave.
The thin smile on her face confirmed to me that she was aware of every single way this situation could play out. And she didn't care at all what I might do. Not a single cell in her
... keep reading on reddit β‘I am devastated when they turned into the Reckless Driver. I've tried to roll back the save thanks to some posts in this reddit but I think all it does is just set the journal back. I'm only two Moments of Inspiration away from finishing the Song of the Skies ambition anyway so I was thinking of completing that and restarting the entire game just to make sure that I can save them from their fate. I was fortunate so far to get the favourable ending for the Vagabond but this has absolutely gutted me, especially after you find out more about them during the father's funeral. They just wanted to be happy.
So, my questions here are:
-Regarding the Vagabond, how do you get the good ending with him? That means without him killing you, dying or becoming a plant? From what I understood from the wiki you have to keep Ratbite, but that's where my understanding ends.
-Regarding the Driver, how do you get the Judicious Driver? I went all the way to the funeral, then when I went back to flying in the skies I got the option to have him keep the Verdancy or free it. I chose to tell him to free it and got the Reckless Driver. If anyone knows what I should do I'll happily sacrifice him to the Verdancy in the Nature Reserve and restart.
-Finally, I read on the wiki that at some point in my Ambition: Truth I'll have to sacrifice my friend. What I wanted to know is if there's a way for me to achieve the true ending without having to sacrifice my friend.
So I got to the point where you have to find the fragment in Albion. I went and hunted it down, but I left the situation without choosing either option because I didn't want to offer myself as a host so I was like 'Oh I'll just come back when I have munitions for the other option'
However it seems that leaving the location ends that step of the quest and now the driver says he wishes to face the verdancy at the nature reserve, but when I go to the nature reserve I have no options related to the quest.
Did I manage to create some sort of weird null state for the quest by exiting that one location without making a decision?
I've been progressing his storyline for a while, but I want to go back to the reach and complete the rest of it later. However, if I don't complete his storyline within a certain time frame, will he die?
After 8 months post-pill, in the fragile state of CD64 without ovulation, I went to the OB/Gyn. I'm not sure what I expected but I was emotionally exhausted and feeling kinda hopeless and alone.
I found a well recommended doctor who is also the head of the OB/Gyn wing in one of the hospitals nearby. I told him the whole story: Since going of the pill 8 months ago I've been tracking my cycles with BBT and OPK. I had 4 cycles, all ovulatory. Two of them were normal and then two irregular ones with O on CD40. I am now on CD64 of cycle 5 post-pill, but we've only hit FW for two cycles. He typed things in his computer. "You should get a PAP smear", he says. I said, "yes, okay". "Do you have PCOS?", he asks. I said, "not that I know of. I was on the pill for 9 years and I had regular periods before that". I went in to the exam room, got my PAP. Then a vaginal ultrasound ensues.
"You have a very thin lining, so even if I give you meds it wouldn't help right now". I nod. "This is your ovary, see. It's polycystic. You have PCOS par-excellence. So from now on, this is your diagnosis". I say, "Okay". Luckily, I've been researching post-pill syndrome for weeks. I've heard podcasts that warn of careless PCOS diagnosis after going off HBC. A while ago I've read this post on Lara Briden's blog, so I wasn't intimidated. I knew that PCOS cannot be diagnosed with only an ultrasound, and that it can be a temporary post-pill situation. Moments later, I have my underwear back on and we return to the computer.
He ordered an SA for my husband, CD3 tests and follicle ultrasound for me (which he said I should do before I'm ovulating, "after I get a temp rise". Facepalm). Then he says, "so do you want to begin treatment?". I was still processing, "what treatment?". "Clomid". I say calmly, "But I've been ovulating so far, I think I prefer to wait for a while longer". "Okay".
To summarize it all, here's a tl;dr. I've been off the pill for 8 months after 9 years on it. I've had 4 irregular but ovulatory cycles so far. It's only cycle 2 of TTC, and it's my first cycle that is 60+ days and so far without ovulation. On the documents the doctor printed out after my visit it says: "31 years old. Infertile for 8ms. 60 day cycles. PCOS".

No assistance file yet, but the conducts are pretty open. You get at least a week from now.
They were my favourite officer.

Hello,
https://sunlessskies.gamepedia.com/Incautious_Driver
Got the problem with "Help the Driver make a decision" = "Advise the Driver to face the Verdant" Quality.
I've choosen above dialogue option but after arriving in Leadbeater & Stainrod's Nature Reserve there is no dialogue options related to Incautious Driver.
The storylet clearly tells me to "go to the Verdance at Leadbeater & Stainrod's Nature Reserve".
Am I doing something wrong?
Source: Am current opiate addict, have know many opiate addicts.
People who overdose usually do so because they are trying to push the drug effect as far as it can possibly go (dangerous and stupid), thus even a slightly stronger batch often results in people dying. There might be a small fraction of cases where someone actually got pure fentanyl, but in reality this is very rarely the case.
Another reason this is true is that dealers basically do everything in their power to give you as little drugs as possible. Usually what a dealer does is once he gets his new batch, he takes it to a veteran junkie for quality analysis, if the dope is stronger than usual, the dealer just adds more inactive cut to even it out.
Finally I should say that the process of checking dope to see if it's dangerously overpowered is extremely easy,, you can do it simply by dabbing a minute amount of the dope on your finger and taste testing it (even pure fentanyl requires a few mg to kill you, much more than you need for this) and then waiting approximately 5-10 min to see if there is a noticeable effect.
This does two things, it allows you to taste the dope which can give a lot of clues as to what's in it (real heroin (diamorphine) has a distinctive highly bitter taste, fentanyl tastes like nothing), and secondly, by waiting an additional 5-10 min you give the dose time to kick in enough that you can tell if it's abnormally strong (if you can feel it at all at that level, it is).
With that in mind, especially, it should be evident that if you OD on dope it is most definitely due to your own careless stupidity. I mean if you're buying something that can kill you, it's your responsibility to make sure it doesn't.
P.S. If you're wondering no I've never ODed myself and not for lack of opportunity. I've intentionally ordered pure fentanyl before, several times actually, so you can trust I really do know what I'm talking about here.
Fellow captains! I need your help. How do I not muck up the Incautious Driver quest?
I've never won the game before and I'm just about ready to, but the Driver is lost somewhere in Eleutheria (Caduceus) and I was hoping to wait until I started a new captain to start exploring there. I'm worried about losing them :(
I took him home for his father's funeral, and then told him to let the spore go. Now I don't have any way (to my knowledge) to progress his storyline and upgrade him.
Did I lock myself out of his upgrade? Or is there something else I can do?
In the storylet you have to fly to the edge of Albion to find The Verdant Fragment. ok, i found it. A few trips later, you have to come back to the Fragment... aaaand i's gone. has anyone here faced this? what should i do?
Thereβs a bug for the storylet where you talk to the Driver about xir reckless driving. Itβs activated by being under a hull threshold, but the threshold gets lower as you lose hull. Even at 1 hull, it requires a hull of 0. I assume the threshold is dependent on a percentage of the max hull, but was coded in as a percentage of the current hull.
Let's say I have a PC who's been "taken out" and is now strapped to a chair in a warehouse as a lure for their fellow players to rescue. But of course the place is booby trapped, and if you don't circumvent the trap first, a bomb goes off.
It seems to me that a way to model this would be to simply say, "If you're in the blast area when the bomb goes off, It's an automatic 8-shift hit." This would force players to take a severe consequence unless they had a way to use a Fate Point to reduce damage (through a stunt, perhaps?), resulting in a moderate consequence. Seems about right. You shouldn't walk away from the center of a killing bomb blast with a slight limp that vanishes next scene.
But determining the damage ahead of time--and calculating exactly how much it'll do--feels a little on the nose, and I was wondering what alternatives there might be. Some that have occurred to me:
That if the PC has been "taken out," then if they're in the bomb blast when it goes off, they're dead--since they're already effectively taken out by the time they've been strapped to the chair.
The explosion itself could be a +8 attack against athletics for anyone who's not strapped into the chair. Of course, then characters are very likely to take only mild damage, since probably characters will have SOME Athletics, reducing the likely base to a six-shift hit, give or take a Fate point. Since this type of scene is rarely followed up with combat (it's usually an abandoned warehouse, not one crawling with bad guys, for obvious explosion reasons), it means the characters who fail will likely only take stress and then be fine in the next scene. That feels dramatically unsatisfying.
The bomb could be the equivalent of a Stunt: if the bomb maker succeeds with style against a rescuer's Burglary or Craft skill to disarm, everyone in the zone takes a moderate consequence.
Is there a typical way to handle this sort of situation? Note that this is all theoretical at the moment, but I hope to deploy it at some time in the future.
So Iβve commented this idea on a few widows already but itβs fine
Basically you and your girlfriend have a fight and the stress becomes too much for her. She passes out and falls on the floor. At first you think sheβs joking but then you realize she actually passed out. You try to wake her up with nice words but she wonβt regain consciousness. You sit there for a while and start humming all of me by John Legend. Eventually a kiss to the lips wake her up. Apologies and all that stuff like cuddling and then off to bed.
(End)
Hope you like it!β€οΈπ€
