A list of puns related to "Indoor Swap Meet"
Is there any good indoor swap meet that you recommend In Las Vegas, Nevada and open during weekdays?
Alec R. Stewart finds that LA's indoor swap meets- large bazaars in repurposed spaces- exemplified a form of multiethnic immigrant urbanism, where diverse communities came together in the β80s & β90s to create West Coast hip hop.
In the few months I've been here I've seen areas for big flea markets or big buildings that say "indoor swap meet", that kind of thing. So what can I find there, is it clothes? Shoes? Knick-knacks? Food? And where are the best ones to visit?
I went to winterize my hose spigot, but seems like the ancient globe valve that cuts the water off to that spigot is failing. There is a now a small constant drip inside from the valve after turning it to close and I can't close it 100% and have to leave the outdoor spigot closed for now. Temps are dropping into the low 40's some nights in my area
It's a tight overhead space with many other cooper joints annoyingly close to where I would need to cut, but on a positive note it's in a unfinished sump pump room right next to the main water line into the house. My house is primarily copper but I just want to make this job as easy as possible so sharkbites+pex seems like the way to go but please share any valid reasons why I shouldn't do that here. Do I need a separate indoor shut off valve if I replace this with a frost proof hose spigot? If so is a ball valve a better option than a globe?
My idea is as follows. cut out the old valve, replace the spigot (old and not worth salvaging)
rest of house copper plumbing--->sharkbite coupling---> pex (insert valve here if needed)---> frostproof sharkbite hose spigot to outside
It would be a pain in the ass area to sweat copper, but since it's all out in the open overhead I would likely see any leaks from the sharkbite's fairly quick.
Hello everyone!
I'd like to invite all of the r/BuyNothingSacramento community out for our group's first Swap Meet! This is an event where you can bring all of those things that you've been meaning to list and set them out while you peruse all the other free stuff people brought.
It's essentially a community yard sale, where all the goods are free, and there is cider. It will be at Two Rivers Cider at 4311 Attawa Avenue on Sunday February 6th at 1pm. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor space at the venue. When you arrive find a table for your giveaway items (if you have any). We are asking for mask use indoors and that attendees be vaccinated.
Hope to see you all there! No obligation to bring any giveaway stuff - if you just feel like shopping or drinking, that's cool too!

Anyone over buy something from the swap meet? How did you handle payment?
I have two friends who are both boosted, and I am boosted as well. I am wondering if it is safe to meet up with them indoors during the Omicron wave? My mom was telling me she does not recommend we meet indoors unless we take rapid tests first.
