A list of puns related to "Humint"
It's commonly stated that during the Cold War the Soviets were better at HUMINT (recruiting spies) and the Americans had to compensate with technology (spy planes, the NSA etc). Superficially it makes sense because many people in the West were seduced by communism (especially before the truth about Stalinism came out). But is it actually true? From quickly browsing the wiki, I could find only two CIA agents who were turned by the Soviets: Aldrich Ames and Edward Lee Howard. While the US intelligence services recruited numerous Soviet agents: Tolkachev, Penkovsky, Gordievsky, Popov, Yurchenko, Polyakov, Golitsyn, Nosenko. Even if I missed a few names (like the FBI's Hanssen) it seems that the Western intelligence services did at least as well in HUMINT as the Soviets and probably better (and they held the tech advantage as well). The supposed KGB advantage in spies appears to be a myth/Cold War paranoia just like the missile gap was, invented and exaggerated by people with possibly hidden agendas.
(Note that I'm focusing purely on recruiting the other side's spies, not civilians, as the measure of success. Also, I'd like to focus on the US only for this question, I know about the various KGB successes in the UK but it was very different, with the socialist Labour party in government for a large chunk of the Cold War).
Just entered my window for re enlistment. 0211 and MARSOC are only reasons iβd re enlist.
What are your experiences with these professionals? Is it worth it to do this or should I get out and go for a degree. Currently a 0231.
I have already contacted a recruiter, has not responded yet.
Thank you.

JTRIG destroyed every major online conspiracy forum.
All the fringe subs on Reddit have been under attack. There is a constant line of agitators and provacateurs coming into this sub, the aliens sub, highstrangeness, and the like, simply to spread dissent, argue, and generally cause problems. They are not posting to be an organic part of the community, they are doing trolling, or even more maliciously, are literally complicit with the Five Eyes Agencies operating to disrupt forum discussions- particularly in the fringe science, occult, and political conspiracy areas.
Iβm an E-4 and was offered a healthy signing bonus to lat move to 0211 and reenlist for 5 years. Idk whether the resigning happens upon completion of the CI/HUMINT training, or before (donβt want to possibly fail it and be forced to reenlist as smth else).
I know thereβs not much info out there, but I wanna hear whether itβs worth reenlisting. Is this a better time than being a grunt? Would an E-4/E-5 be reasonably engaged with the job, or is it s.s.d.d?
Truth is, my time as an 0311 has been dull and the sacrifices in terms of being able to travel, see family, have a relationship and have my βmeβ time havenβt been worth it. Itβs been bearable so far, but Iβm definitely not tryina do 5 more years of it. Does this position offer significantly better lifestyle?
Also, what are the differences between an officer and an enlisted man in terms of their duties in this MOS? What are some viable civilian job opportunities following this?
Tldr:
Is the 0211 reenlistment only -after- I pass the HUMINT training? Is the lifestyle significantly better than being an 0311? What are the differences between an officer and an enlisted man in this field? What jobs can I look forward to as a civvie?
Hey, was just wondering if anyone has unlocked this challenge? I seem to not being able to complete it no matter what. For now I've stamped it as bugged. I only needed that for 100% campaign challenge completion, so i'm quite annoyed and sad that I've spent the past hours trying to unlock it...
EDIT: Apparently the trigger for me to complete the challenge was going back to the start, talk to sims, adler, lazar and park and then go to mission and quit, and do the same with the other safehouse visits but not in that order. Thank you a lot for the help and hope this post will help others.
EDIT2: For those having problems still.
Go talk to Sims first before he helps Lazar boxing, then Lazar, then Adler and lastly Park.
In this scenario of the safehouse you should be able to talk with all, however Lazar is going around and he won't give you a dialogue tree, even though talk with him.
Sims is fixing the car, Park and Lazar is talking with about Madam something, let them finish talking, talk with Park, then Lazar, then go talk with Sims even though he has no dialogue. When you're done with that, go talk with Hudson and then Adler.
Park and Adler is going into the room to talk and won't be there this time. Sims and Lazar is packing weapons and going out and you won't be able to talk with them either. The only people you can talk with is Mason and Woods and Hudson and after that you should have completed the challenge.
I hope this was helpful and can help people in the future, but feel free to ask for more help if you still can't figure it out.

I am having trouble completing this calling card. The challenge is to take to each member on each safehouse visit.
E9 safehouse: I talked to Adler,Lazar,Park, and Sims until he repeats his 4 phrases
Berlin: I talked to Adler, Lazar, Park, and Sims by the desk.
Lubyanka: I talked to Adler, Lazar,Park,Hudson and Sims under the car until he repeats his phrases.
Cuba: I talked to Hudson, Mason/Woods but everyone else leaves
Who am I missing.
Iβve heard that MOS isnβt open sometimes in TBS classes since they choose who they want to have in that MOS before TBS classes get to. Iβve also heard they have about 2-3 open spots too so I am not sure what the chances are.
Hi all,
I would love for some sources or discussion on human intelligence in the modern world. I am more interested in this than SIGINT because in an increasingly digital and technologically reliant world, HUMINT is something I believe to be useful but old fashioned and entering obsolescence. I would love to learn more about the tradecraft of human based intelligence gathering in today's world and what the benefits/usefulness are especially in relation to the other forms of intelligence gathering available to a modern power.
Anyone have experience in this field? Iβm wondering what the physical tests and day-to-day pt is during training at the schoolhouses aside from PFTs and the like. Thanks.
Hey, so i went through MEPS and was told i'm colorblind. Is it possible for me to still be eligible for humint (i think its 1N7X1)? I tried reaching to my recruiter but he hasn't contacted me yet, so i figured to ask here if anyone knows if i'm eligible or what i am eligible for.
Thanks!
Were there major institutional failures? Cultural problems? Or was British counterintelligence just that much better?
Does anybody know how to do this, I've went through all 4 safe houses countless times, I've exhausted their entire dialogue Trees, I've talked to sims under the car, to sims and Lazar before the punching bag part, I've tried loading missions after and quiting once they load, nothing works and I've spent like 2 hours at this point!
Someone said you can talk to sims and lazar in the last safehouse, but as far as I know that's false, I've also heard someone say theres a guy in the locked off area with the computer but I cant find anyone back there. Is this challenge just glitched?
Does anybody have knowledge or experience with any of the fields? I know that we have S2 as an option and OSI for retrain but I was wondering if there are more positions or assignments in the Air Force because I am really interested in those fields.
Any 35 series have first- or second-hand experience/knowledge of transferring to civilian jobs with agencies, etc.? Just curious about potential opportunities when contract ends. (Iβm going 35W)
"Hmmmmmmmmmmmm", Zhang thought. During the last year and a half, it seemed like everyone and their mothers were forming secret agencies, and truth be told, Zhang felt left out. So he decided to get in on the action. And thus the Xinhai Guard was formed. The very first professional Secret Agency in China.
The Xinhai Guard would be led by President Zhang's long time friend and ally who has been with Zhang since 1921. The agency would answer directly to the President.
The Xinhai Guard has been dubbed an internal agency, tasked with safekeeping China from foreign threats and protecting the Republican Ideals from the shadows. Of course, to Zhang, an internal agency covers all of China.
Thus the agency will train for operations inside of China, with the main goals being invitation of enemy factions and the spreading of discontent behind lines. The organization would seek to grow to 15,000 members in two years time.
We also ask Japan to send agents of the Kenpeitai to train the Xinhai Guard.
Both of these are mentioned in MGSV secret recording of skull face and zero, do any of yall have details or backstory about it?
Also zero mentions a predessesor, whom would that be?
